Earlier this summer, James Bennet, editorial page editor of The New York Times, resigned from his post after internal and public outcry over his decision to allow an op-ed by sitting U.S. Sen. Tom Cotton arguing for military intervention as a response to the recent riots.(Snip)This past week, one of National Public Radio’s most popular shows, “Code Switch,” gave a microphone to Vicky Osterweil, author of the “In Defense of Looting,” a book that argues precisely what it sounds like it’s arguing. Now, Code Switch’s tag line is “Race. In Your Face,” and in their “About” portion of their website note the following:

I listened to an NPR interview last weekend. I turned it off halfway thru to lower my blood pressure. The interviewee was an "expert" on facism. He started out making statements thst were patently and demonstrably false. He then went on, with no pushback whatsoever, to imply that Trump and his supporters are facists. The Feds going in to breakup peaceful protests, the President wont leave office, we are all racists and my personal favorite, the Trump cult of personality.

End federal funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which is who funds the shows on both NPR and PBS.
"The Corporation for Public Broadcasting, a private corporation funded by the American People."
A PRIVATE CORPORATION FUNDED BY THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.
Leftists would lose their minds if there was a any other private corporation that was funded with tax dollars.
Cut the head off the snake.

Every time I hear NPR mentioned I can't help thinking about the epic SNL skit about the two ditzy interviewers of Alec Baldwin about his holiday recipe for Shweddy Balls.

Why are they always begging for funds when they are so heavily "subsidized" by American taxpayers? They can't make it on their own. Who wants to listen to a continuous stream of anti-American vindictive, propaganda and crap? Not me.

The times that I have been in Chicago in the car listening to the radio, I always noticed that the only radio you can hear without static is NPR. I wonder why.

I have a friend in the Financial Adviser business that is a big supporter of NPR here in Phoenix.
I think I'll give her a call.

Press post too soon. The Corporation of Public Broadcasting was created by no other than Lyndon Johnson. There is your answer to their indoctrination.

In a mood for American jazz two nights ago, I turned my radio upstairs to public radio and was enjoying tenor saxophone great Sonny Rollins--now 90 years old--from his classic 1957 album Way Out West. But it was NPR, and the news had to break into the program from time to time. Then I had to listen to Fake News and left slanted propaganda, quite insulting to those of us who take the time to know what's actually happening in this Nation. Within 45 minutes I had had enough and had silenced the radio. Music good, leftist politics bad. Corporation for Public Broadcasting should be unloaded from the federal budget. I'll just listen to my own jazz collection from now on.

Long overdue. Ten seconds of their sanctimonious tone makes me want to puke. Enemies of the people, and taxpayers are forced to pay for their commie propaganda. Outrageous.

#11, the internet is awash with good jazz especially for those in need of a good session. And you can pick your flavor.
Here's one: jazzandrain.com
Enjoy.
Also search radio stations online that specialize in jazz.

Republicans have been saying, for years, that NPR should be Defunded. So, Trump maybe will be the guy to get the job done!! Or, maybe when Fancy Nancy is voted out of office in November, the new Republican Congress can take it up! Better chance of it happening then!

It is tragic indeed that NPR has been allowed to establish itself in many universities throughout this country, saturating the socialist agenda not so subtly into America's youths. The complaints about political bias and even indoctrination by tax funded npr/pbs have long been ignored by the U.S. Congress. Public Broadcasting was first presented to the public as a venue to bring the arts to everyone but in the decades since has morphed into a microphone for the radical lefties in the dem Party. It is way past time for public broadcasting's abuse of its authority to be totally defunded.

There are some areas in the nation that do NOT have local radio stations. When such an area is identified, and a potential operator asks for a license from the FCC, the word is out, and the matter is handled by selecting the potential owner who would get the license. Q: Guess who gets the license preference. A: NPR.
