Portland riots intensify; balloons
with feces thrown at cop cars

Heeding the advice of critics, Portland police say they repeatedly tried to deescalate with protesters Friday night. It didn’t work. As many as 200 demonstrators rampaged near a police station in the Oregon city, pelting a protective line of unoccupied police vehicles with golf balls, softball-sized rocks, metal railroad spikes, paint-filled plastic eggs and balloons filled with feces. A torn-up street sign was also used to smash cars, with tires slashed and windows broken, police said. Officers said they didn’t intervene at that point because it was only property, and they figured allowing the rampaging to run its course might

Comments:

Here’s the peaceful and prosperous paradise Democrat Socialists demand each time they cast a vote. No thought given to staggering costs of ongoing riots, from damage repair to police overtime to lost tax revenue when “greedy businesses” leave for safer environs, because “the other guy” will pay for it all, leaving nothing for their vaunted welfare programs or even for the basic needs of running a city.

Even if arrested, and apparently that is very rare, no charges filed, immediately released by "the prosecutor who won't prosecute". So, these vicious thugs have realized that "It's party time! No more laws! We can get away with ANYTHING!" What a hideous place Portland is. Sell your home and move, as soon as possible.

"Officers said they didn’t intervene at that point because it was only property, and they figured allowing the rampaging to run its course might deescalate the situation. But after some protesters burst through the police car barricade officers said they used smoke grenades and made some arrests — then retreated, hoping things would calm down." What a disgraceful display by the Pussy Police. Just let them rampage and maybe that will deescalate the situation. Retreat and hope things calm down. Maybe close your eyes and cover your ears and say, "La la la la la!" Try that. Or maybe if you beg and cry they will not hurt you. Portland cannot defund the police. At this point there are no real police to defund.

I don't blame the police for standing back . They are outnumbered by the hoodlums and should not put themselves in danger of getting harmed by flying objects or laser beams in their eyes. The liberal mayors and other persons are supposed to protect their citizens and their property. They must amass enough people(national guard, etc.) to outnumber the rioters. back up a semi and load them in and haul every one to jail and book them and keep them there. To hell with their "rights" and the "no bail just release them" policy. This crap must end........right now !!!!

'Because it's ONLY property', REALLY? Didn't someone have to work to pay for it? Does their work mean nothing? Maybe 'stop and frisk' was a little excessive but if you don't protect property, you demean it and the person who paid for it. We are way past the point to start enforcing the law with all necessary force. These ANTIFA types will listen to nothing else. This is not a problem where I live. I want the instructions on how to get the feces into the balloon. Hold the balloon around your [anatomic term for the posterior opening for the alimentary canal, usage of which is not allowed at Lucianne} and poop? Scoop up the feces and put it in something like a baster and inject it into the ballon? I assume you want air in the ballon so it will explode when it hits its target. So do you put the feces into the balloon, and then...blow it up? Yeech. You people have waaaaaay too much time (and probably poop) on your hands. I think the old reliable brown paper bag would work just as well and be a lot easier to "load."

As #15 says..." Like monkeys in the zoo" although the monkeys are smarter than these cretins. People tend to forget that the Klan was initially organized after the Civil War to bring some semblance of law and order to the South's devastated infrastructure. If the various city "leaders" continue to hamstring the police and encourage the rioters, we are very likely to see the rise of armed militias like the KKK. Just as secretive and much more deadly. AR-15's are more efficient than ropes and whips.

I'm with the police on this one. They are protecting their jobs and their pensions and giving the mayor and city council exactly what they've been asking for. If the police had gotten tough here, every perp would be released on her own recognizance or have their cases dismissed , while the cops would be charged with police brutality by the Soros-funded prosecutors. Their excuse lingo about letting the hoodlums get it out of their systems, and it's only property, is straight out of the Baltimore mayor's handbook of protest [riot] control. The Portland mayor may be facing a recall vote soon if the Portland voters have even a smidgen of brains. If the MSM will only report it, this behavior would enhance President Trump's chances. Does anyone really think that Demented Joe could possibly be a law and order president?
