President Donald Trump is one step closer to putting an end to Barack Obama’s disastrous housing rules that would give the federal government full control of how suburban homes are built, where they are built, and who is allowed to live in them. Just before he walked out of the White House door for the last time, Obama’s administration passed regulations with the Orwellian title of the Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH) rule. The plan would give the federal government full control of what sort of houses are built in every American community, in part by requiring a certain amount of low-income housing to be part of every suburban subdivision.

Obama left a lot of IEDs for PDT.
Clearing them one by one with the dems yelling "No, step there. No, step there."

This will go to court under the states rights. The federal government does not have the authority to dictate housing rules in any state. It is the states responsibility to do that as the elected officials have more knowledge about the state that the federal government. I've noticed many changes in the neighborhood I live in, Blacks and Hispanics moving into the area and it has not effect on housing prices. Housing prices keep going up every week, month.

Why it is not done already? If Obama introduced something on his own, I suppose it would not require any studies to cancel it?

What he proposes to do is bring the thug mentality of the failing cities to the suburbs. Drugs, garbage and rusted out cars on every block!

This sounds more like the Make Sure Every Neighborhood Suffers Racial Problems act or MSENSRP. That way the "teens" who steal your lawn furniture and your wheels live within walking distance. Racist? You bet.

There are a lot of woke bureaucrats in the state and local governments who are way ahead of this game. For example, Baltimore City issues housing vouchers to Grandma or Auntie for use in the surrounding suburban counties. She's clean; no criminal record. And she takes her gang-banging progeny with her.

Huge laundry list of horrible things that need to be undone. This is just number 89 on the list.

No...don't end it yet. Use it to build Section 8 housing around every property owned by Obama, Maxine Waters, and all the rest. AND surround them with big green energy wind turbines.

Getting rid of those Obama housing policies that were designed to eliminate one story housing and to move inner city “communities” and everything bad that comes with them out into the current suburbs at taxpayers expense is sure to be a vote winner for Trump. That is if the wimpy Republicans tell the people what those Obama policies are all about, which at this point is doubtful, as those Republicans these days appear to be hiding under their mattresses scared to death the BLM will designate them as being racists.

Inasmuch as H.U.D. lacks the Constitutional authorization to exist at all, this should be a no-brainer.
ABOLISH the entire H.U.D. monstrosity. Today is good. FIRE all the bureaucrats, trash every single regulation and program, burn the buildings.
And, for the gazillionth time, utter REPEAL of the abominable Administrative Procedures Act which - illegally in my view- enables these dreadful diktats by unelected functionaries. Again, today would be good.

Had conversation with guy in convenience store this a.m. about masks - which I was not wearing and he pulled down when he knew where I stood, but both of us agreed that Obama was the worse President ever.

We're almost four years in, and this stupid housing rule is still around? Like all of obozo's communist laws, this was an executive order.

I'm sure it's on the Trump laundry list. Between major projects, he spends all of his free time undoing the stupid things that it took the Obamas eight years to do.

Do it today., ALSO eliminate the application of the 'disparate impact" concept wherever it is applied in Federal regs. CORRELATION IS NOT CAUSATION. If black people don't reside in some affluent areas it does not PROVE ipso facto the existence of anything and certainly not racism.

You haven't done that yet Donald? For shame. Seriously. For shame.

Obola, the sociopath, liked the Friday hit and run executive orders. He would wait until Congress left for a recess, pass something and go golfing. If it was an executive order, why not reverse it?
He left a lot of landmines. Perhaps Karma will catch up with him and the puppet master.
