Sowing the Sixties Winds,
Reaping Today’s Whirlwind

From one perspective, the surreal absurdity of the current protests, vandalism, and riots is not even close to the disruption and mayhem of the political violence in the Sixties and Seventies.(Snip)But what’s going on today is more dangerous, for the ideologies driving the disorder reflect just how successful the leftist “long march through the institutions” has been at corrupting American education and culture over the last half a century. As a result, ideas and behaviors that by consensus were out of bounds then, have now been normalized and abetted by civic leaders and politicians, as well as popular culture, schools, and even sports.

Comments:

The idiom, “reaping the whirlwind” is often used in the secular world to make a point; however, in the context of Scripture, the full verse (Hosea 8:7) teaches a seriousness life lesson. The “Proverb stresses the futility of turning away from God and trusting in idols.” Using a farming imagery, “One sowing the wind can hardly expect any harvest but a whirlwind.” Just as wheat or stalks without heads of grain cannot feed the sower because they yield no flour. Ultimately, “investing in nothingness of idolatry guarantees only bankrupt.”

I was going to college in the late sixties when the Viet Nm protesters stated up. (I ended up as a pilot in Viet Nam) They burned my university’s ROTC building down and nothing happened. Six or eight of them would stand on a street corner shorting obscenities and denouncing the US for even being in Viet Nam to help the south avoid the communists. The media would be all over it praising their actions. These children today have to be related to those people. Unfortunately, I have many acquaintances from that era who haven’t changed. Everyone should get everything free and no one has to work for it. Those who have gone out and worked and achieved something are the enemy. We have to respond more quickly and more severely this time and stop this insanity now.

As calls to “defund the police” and dismantle “systemic racism” echo across the nation, conservative author David Horowitz, a longtime critic of America’s internal enemies is speaking out in a concise but effective five-minute video to expose the Left’s anti-white racism in order to silence their opponents and create a one-party state. “Civilizations die when they cease to believe in themselves,” Horowitz comments in the video. “America is under attack at home and abroad by forces that are both secular and religious, and the chief weapon of the enemies of America is race - or rather their distorted picture of race relations in America.”

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — President Donald Trump’s plans to kick off Independence Day with a showy display at Mount Rushmore are drawing sharp criticism from Native Americans who view the monument as a desecration of land violently stolen from them and used to pay homage to leaders hostile to native people. Several groups led by Native American activists are planning protests for Trump’s July 3 visit, part of Trump's “comeback” campaign for a nation reeling from sickness, unemployment and, recently, social unrest. The event is slated to include fighter jets thundering over the 79-year-old stone monument in South Dakota's Black Hills

WASHINGTON - U.S. Marshals have been told they should prepare to help protect national monuments across the country, according to an email directive viewed by The Washington Post, as President Donald Trump has vowed stern punishment for those who vandalize or destroy such structures as part of police violence protests. In an email, Marshals Assistant Director Andrew Smith wrote that the service "has been asked to immediately prepare to provide federal law enforcement support to protect national monuments (throughout the country)." "This is a challenging assignment due to the breadth of possible targets for criminal activity," Smith wrote.

Tucker Carlson opened Tuesday's edition of "Tucker Carlson Tonight" blasting liberal leaders for tolerating, if not supporting, the destruction of statues and historical monuments by far-left and anarchist protesters. "Democratic politicians don't fear the mob," Carlson continued. "Why? Because they don't need to. They control the mob. The mob operates with their permission. These are their foot soldiers. This is their militia. In unguarded moments, Democrats make it very clear that they know this." The host then connected protesters, Democrats and federal agencies, saying they were jointly responsible for the division and destruction in America.

It’s certainly frustrating to watch a pack of reeking leftist (Snip) declare a portion of an American city an “autonomous zone” – what is it with Democrats and their secession fetish? – but do not get frustrated because Donald Trump has not sent the 101st Airborne in to powerwash the human grunge from Seattle’s feces-bedecked streets. That’s what the Democrats want. And Trump--a better strategic thinker than all the media geniuses, hack politicians, and Afghan War-losing generals who cry about him--is not only not going to give them the victory they crave. He’s going to jam their cheesy plan down their throats.

This is how the slide toward totalitarianism begins. Silencing the opposition is essential to creating “legitimacy” for despots like Vladimir Putin or Kim Jong Un;
