The basic problem is parenting—whether through biological, adoptive, or “a village,” proper adult, mature, responsible parenting establishes guidelines and administers discipline. As the author points out, older students immersed in “video games and profanity-laced music ... are the same students who hurl obscenities and insults at professors who cross them.” Indeed, “they are not fragile, they are intolerant.” Paraphrasing a Scripture verse: Training up children in a way they should go, when old, they will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6)

As a baby boomer, I'm not taking the blame for the out of control kids in colleges. I grew up surrounded by WWII vets in my family and everywhere I went. I tried to emulate their behavior. If something didn't go my way, tough luck. Life isn't a bowl of cherries. Work harder. They encouraged me to do my best. As I get older, I miss those people that had to grow up fast because the world made them do it. Their lives were tougher, and they all looked older than their age, but they enjoyed the life they had, and never apologized for what they did or gave excuses for what they went through.

#1,et al--- Vast numbers today’s adults grew up surrounded by World War II veterans and treasure what those veterans and people in that era did, how they lived, what they taught; the question is, how did the children of WWII veterans raise their children—with the same values and discipline, or were they “soft” on their children because of the horror of what their WWII loved ones had to endure and did not want their children to be subjected to unnecessary hardships. The counterculture of the 1960s and its anti-establishment movement undoubtedly influenced their children and grandchildren, the harvest of which today’s society continues to reap--civil unrest and destruction paralleling, or exceeding the havoc unleashed in the 1960s. Though there are exceptions to the author’s premise, like it or not, the facts, the reality she presents cannot be denied. If the parents and/or grandparents of the generation she cites raised their children with the same values of the WWII era, they are to be commended; for those who did not, today’s America has become the unfortunate victim of such irresponsibility.

Tucker Carlson opened Tuesday's edition of "Tucker Carlson Tonight" blasting liberal leaders for tolerating, if not supporting, the destruction of statues and historical monuments by far-left and anarchist protesters. "Democratic politicians don't fear the mob," Carlson continued. "Why? Because they don't need to. They control the mob. The mob operates with their permission. These are their foot soldiers. This is their militia. In unguarded moments, Democrats make it very clear that they know this." The host then connected protesters, Democrats and federal agencies, saying they were jointly responsible for the division and destruction in America.

It’s certainly frustrating to watch a pack of reeking leftist (Snip) declare a portion of an American city an “autonomous zone” – what is it with Democrats and their secession fetish? – but do not get frustrated because Donald Trump has not sent the 101st Airborne in to powerwash the human grunge from Seattle’s feces-bedecked streets. That’s what the Democrats want. And Trump--a better strategic thinker than all the media geniuses, hack politicians, and Afghan War-losing generals who cry about him--is not only not going to give them the victory they crave. He’s going to jam their cheesy plan down their throats.

A World War II memorial in North Carolina’s largest city was reportedly defaced over the weekend with a hammer and sickle. The 20-foot-tall memorial, located at Evergreen Cemetery in Charlotte, contains the names of more than 500 county residents who died fighting in WWII, WBTV reported. (Snip) A portion of the WWII monument that read, “Dedicated to the memory of the Mecklenburg heroes of World War II who made the supreme sacrifice that you might live in liberty, freedom and peace,” was also covered in yellow paint.

When the great American experiment in liberty officially comes to an end, there will be plenty of finger-pointing and blame-assigning taking place. Plenty of Founding Fathers observed that the natural progression of things was for government to grow and liberty to contract. But when we’re wanting to pinpoint what institutions, what things played the biggest part in facilitating the demise of freedom, I am going to predict that a fair reading of history will show that few entities had a bigger hand in destroying our civilization than the American university system.

After reviewing prior video of that specific garage bay, at that specific speedway; and after reviewing a picture released yesterday showing the FBI investigators on the scene; it is clear the “rope noose” in question was nothing more than a manual garage door pull-down with a hand loop tied into it.

The mayor said the violence was distracting from changes sought by thousands of peaceful protesters seeking to address racial inequity and police brutality. Activists set up "CHOP" in the city's Capitol Hill neighborhood about two weeks ago, barricading off the area after police evacuated a ransacked precinct building there.
