Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot reacted angrily Friday to President Donald Trump’s threat to take action against protesters in Minneapolis, accusing him of trying to “inflame racist urges” while encouraging people planning to protest in her city to stick to social distancing guidelines.(Snip)“I will code what I really want to say to Donald Trump,” Lightfoot said. “It’s two words. It begins with ‘f’ and it ends with ‘you.’ I will not remain silent while this man cynically tries to turn this incredibly painful moment into one for his own political gain.” Lightfoot, a former federal prosecutor, is the city’s first black female mayor.

President Trump was not trying to incite violence, the rioters were doing that. He was simply telling the rioters that they could get shot if they mess with the wrong person’s business. I believe it has been reported that one rioter has already been shot. The rioters mentioned that they were going to move to the suburbs to “Get Whitey”. If they do that and start burning people’s houses, that ignorant liberal Mayor will quickly see that Trump was right.

And she should be ashamed of all of the deaths in her city. While she turns the other cheek, family members mourn the loss of their loved ones. I am so sick of Democrats and their double standards. This country is failing because of their liberal practices but President Trump is deserving of the vitriol. You know what else bothers me? Joe Biden and family can do all of the illegal, underhanded financial dealings and not suffer one iota. He brags about it in video clips but he thinks Donald Trump is the problem? No, Democrats with their faithless attitudes bring this country down. . .

It seems lightfoot (aptly named?) is trying to politicize the President's comments instead of the other way around. And, presume she didn't hear that a person who was trying to rob a pawn shop was indeed shot by the shop owner. Or, that most of the businesses (170 were burned and/or looted) were black owned. Lastly, that the people in Minnesota are realizing most of the people that were causing trouble were NOT from Minnesota, which means they were organized and directed to go to MSP by some group or organization.

The City of Chicago is a city run completely by blacks and other minorities. The Mayor - Black (extra points for being a lesbian), City Treasurer - black, City Clerk - black, 25 out of 50 ward aldermen - black and 10 are Hispanic. Chief of police - black. So, no way to blame the fact that Chicago is a murder capital, and financially failing city on the white power structure. So, it must be Trump's fault.

The Black rioting has backfired big time on the leftist and liberal Democrat politicians who run those inner-cities. The Democrats had a legitimate issue with the police encounter with the Black man who was killed, and there is no doubt that with the video evidence of the policeman with his knee on the Black man’s neck that killed him would end up being the subject of a grand jury investigation, an indictment, and the arrest of the police officer involved. Unfortunately it did not end there. Minneapolis is a liberal Democrat City that has a very liberal Mayor and Administration that has obviously tolerated that particular policeman through about 15 or more citizen’s complaints over many years charging that he abused and exceeded his authority without ever prosecuting or firing him. Last night it appears that the very liberal Democrat Minneapolis Mayor pulled all the city police out of the area of the rioting, abandoning public safety to a big criminal element, and thus allowed the rioters to burn that area down. Obviously the leftist and liberal Democrats are trying to evade responsibility for what is happening in the cities they run, and are very happy to play the race card to cast fraudulent blame on President Trump. Remember this is an election year and there is little doubt that the Democrat race baiters will try to make this Summer as hot as possible in the Democrat run inner-cities. If things go true to course we will see a number of Black churches in the South burnt down before the election.

A. Lightfoot, mind your own business. B. I am sorry a man lost his life. I will wait for all the facts to shake out before I participate in a lynching. I'm not going to second guess previous choices on disciplinary action. I recall a manager at my company tell me that if he didn't have 3 complaints from his employees going through our 'fair listening' system, he wasn't doing his job. And he was right. No one is going to call up a desk Sgt and ask for the forms to say how wonderful the average Policeman on the street is, no, they are going to complain how they shouldn't have gotten a parking ticket because they were there for just a second, or Hey, I was robbing that guy, but this cop hit me upside the head..etc. No. Number of complaints means zilch. There is a thin blue line. It does protect it's own. At one time it filtered out the abusive. I suspect Unions changed a bit of that. I hope I am wrong because there are very few ways to examine how well a person is at the job without being inside to watch them. Do bullies exist? Darn right, and they are attracted to that job. Some develop the anti-civilian attitude..those are the ones that we need to really fix. This Us vs Them garbage has to stop and sadly, I see Police as a big part of that problem. I get it. Go home at the end of the shift is the goal. I back that. But you don't need to lose your humanity putting on a badge.

Children in our family are taught, ‘public behavior.’ No fussing or acting-out or bad language or anything not respecting the Social Contract implicitly in force with other members of the public occupying public space. We don’t live our lives on the street, mouthing off loud and at length on the bus or subway or sidewalk, and we certainly don’t F-bomb elected officials. We think public officials should— at least— adhere to the same standards. We love Chicago. But are ashamed and appalled at its politics.

Sen. Lindsey Graham on Tuesday questioned how much blame should be directed at Antifa for the violent protests and looting in the wake of George Floyd’s death in police custody. Mr. Graham, who chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee, said Antifa has played “a part” in the civil unrest. But the South Carolina Republican noted that rioting and looting happened during protests long before the militant anti-fascist group became a movement. “We will try to find out how organized this violence is,” Mr. Graham said. “But I am old enough to remember 1968, and Antifa was not around in 1968, that I know of.”

A Florida police chief on Monday encouraged residents to open fire on violent looters who try to enter their homes. “I would tell them, if you value your life, they probably shouldn’t do that in Polk County. Because the people of Polk County like guns, they have guns, I encourage them to own guns, and they’re going to be in their homes tonight with their guns loaded,” Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd told reporters during a news briefing.

Former Obama administration national security adviser Susan Rice bizarrely suggested in a televised interview Sunday that the Russians could be behind the violent nationwide demonstrations following the in-custody death of George Floyd, although she offered no evidence for the incendiary claim. Rice's made the claim after top Democrats insisted for years that the White House had conspired with Russia, although Special Counsel Robert Mueller found no evidence to support any conspiracy with Russia by any U.S. actor to influence the 2016 election

Mayor Bill de Blasio on Monday commented on his daughter’s arrest during a Manhattan protest over the police-involved killing of George Floyd, saying that it was a “surprise” to him, but that he’s “proud” of her. De Blasio, speaking during his daily City Hall press briefing, said his 25-year-old daughter, Chiara, did not inform him or first lady Chirlane McCray “of her intention to get arrested”— and he first found out through a press inquiry to his office.

Joe Biden said Monday that police -- if facing a threat from a person with "a knife or something" -- should be trained to “shoot ‘em in the leg instead of the heart,” amid five straight days of protest following the death of George Floyd. “Instead of standing there and teaching a cop when there’s an unarmed person coming at ‘em with a knife or something, shoot ‘em in the leg instead of in the heart,” Biden said in an address to black community leaders in Wilmington, Del. “There are a lot of things that can change,” Biden said, regarding police training. Will George W. Bush endorse Joe Biden? Congressional Republicans can’t even stand up to rebuke President Trump for falsely accusing a cable news host of murder — despite pleas to stop from the family of the woman, who died of natural causes back in 2001. But imagine if former President Bush, as Trump’s most recent Republican predecessor, backed a Democrat. Bush’s voice has the singular power to reach moderate Republicans and Republican-leaning independent voters, freeing them to walk away from the Party of Trump.

The son of Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison tweeted on Sunday that he is declaring his support for Antifa after President Trump said that his administration would be declaring it a "Terrorist Organization." Jeremiah Ellison, who is a member of the Minneapolis City Council, noted in the tweet that he believes "white power" terrorists are actually the ones engaging in the looting, arson and other riot activities as violent sects hijack some of the protests against racial inequality and police brutality in the wake of the death of George Floyd last Monday. "I hereby declare, officially, my support for ANTIFA," Ellison said.

Rapper Ice Cube has asked if Donald Trump could become the first U.S. president to nuke an American city after he pledged to employ military force if nationwide riots are not brought to an end. In an address made from the Rose Garden on Monday, Trump described the violent protests as “domestic acts of terror” that law enforcement must “dominate the streets” in order to quell. “If a city or state refuses to take the actions necessary to defend the life and property of their residents, then I will deploy the United States military and quickly solve the problem for them,” Trump said. The comments caught the attention

Pallets of bricks have 'randomly' appeared during protests across the US this weekend, sparking theories they were planted to stoke violence. Those taking part in demonstrations against police brutality have reported finding large stashes of the makeshift weapons on streets. Videos from New York City, Kansas City, Dallas and Fayetteville in North Carolina all appear to show piles of bricks unattended in the middle of protests. The footage has led to suggestions the slabs were either planted by police or by extremists to overshadow peaceful protests following the death of George Floyd, a black man who pleaded for air as an officer
