n light of the nursing home disaster in New York, what kind of a ghoul would take that as an example to emulate instead of a baleful death warning, and then order contagious COVID-19 patients into her state's nursing homes? Only Michigan's hard-faced Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, the ambitious Democrat who banned sales of garden seeds to Michiganders, saying she's doing it in the name of keeping everyone 'safe.' 'Safe' to Whitmer is seeding the nursing homes with COVID-19 patients, supposedly as a means of lightening the loads of hospitals. Too bad if granny gets it.

She should be dragged out of office, by her hair preferably, and thrown into a deep river. This is Commucrats trying to eliminate conservative older voters.

What's the progress on the court filing that MI legislature was supposed to be dealing with? Did they cave? If they did, these deaths are on them as well, not just the Commissar. Democrats are truly the death cult party. Just like another bunch we know.

Here's my cynical take: Blue state governors seem to be using nursing homes to wipe out older or Covid-19 positive elderly people. Is this because older folks tend to vote republican? Just a theory because nothing else makes sense.

I usually love Monica Showalter's articles. In this one, she is just too emotional. The facts, themselves, are enough to raise everyone's ire over Whitmer's actions and performance. The hyper-emotionality causes some to reject the arguments, out of hand. You needn't divert the reader's attention when the facts are on your side.

In order to give herself more power, there have to be as many deaths as possible. Think 'Fast and Furious'. You have to create a good crisis to use it. This gives her cover to do as Chairman Mao's wife did, and order the Democrat version of the Chinese Cultural Revolution.

Considering the amount of press NY, NJ, and others have had re nursing home deaths as a result of their policies this is beyond criminally negligent. This is at least beyond drunk driving and vehicular manslaughter. Half Whit should be trying to make bail today.

Didn't i read something about dams breaking in Michigan and 10,000 people losing their homes. She was too selfish and too anxious to become a candidate for V.P. Sorry for the Michiganders' plight, but the Governor will now have to reset her priorities and tackle a real crisis for the citizens of her state. She won't have any more time to persecute the vulnerable.

Latest warmist scheme: Record ‘climate change’

Perhaps inspired by the success of Coronavirus fearmongering in impoverishing the formerly prosperous West, global warming enthusiasts are beginning to agitate to list “climate change” as the cause of death on death certificates. The widely observed practice of listing Coronavirus as the cause of death for anyone who died with it, not necessarily of it, has worked wonders in scaring people into accepting previously unheard-of abrogation of constitutionally guaranteed rights. The seed for this propaganda offensive was just planted in a spinoff publication of The Lancet, the formerly prestigious British medical journal that has fallen to the forces of political correctness.

Kayleigh McEnany is only 32 and has been the White House press secretary for just six weeks, but she’s already proving herself to be one of the best press secretaries in remembered history. This is impressive considering that, in following Sarah Huckabee, she has had big shoes to fill. Over and over, when Democrat party operatives disguised journalists try to catch her with “gotcha” questions, McEnany comes back at them with facts. On Friday, McEnany hit the White House press corp with a homework assignment intended to get them to direct some of their questions to Obama. McEnany’s gift is that, like Trump himself, she’s a happy warrior.

Governor Andrew Cuomo’s nursing home mandate, which helped to cause the deaths of thousands of patients, is just the tip of the iceberg. The residual effects from the governor’s onetime decision to force nursing homes to accept virus-positive patients will soon form an avalanche of problems too insurmountable to overcome. As usual though, it’s the mainstream media -- both left and right -- that gets to pick winners and losers when it comes to any unfolding story. This is a shame. Not only do the media often push misinformation about crucial issues, they are obsessed with theoretical outcomes and not actual causes.

I was looking for articles showing that those who predicted deadly failure due to Governor Brian Kemp's decision to open Georgia were wrong. I found such an article at Business Insider, a widely read online news outlet. Diving into the article, though, revealed that it wasn’t reporting the news at all. Instead, it provided a perfect example of how the media shape and distort the news in service to a Democrat narrative. When Governor Kemp announced three weeks ago that he would start opening up Georgia, the media had a field day.

There are two aspects to the current imbroglio over the Justice Department’s attempt to dismiss the Michael Flynn case, which U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan so far has rejected. The first is procedural -- whether Sullivan following Rule 48(a) of the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure must dismiss. The second is substantive, whether the basis the government gave for dismissal is legitimate. (snip) The issue of materiality is essentially “Obamagate,” the scandal the left refuses to acknowledge. Every state and local politician who imposed lockdowns pursuant to the COVID-19 pandemic claimed their decisions were based on “the science.” In reality, they ignored the advice of leading epidemiologists, relying instead on statistical models produced by “experts” with histories of wildly inaccurate projections. The most notorious of these oracles was, of course, Neil Ferguson of Imperial College London, who claimed that coronavirus could kill 2.2 million Americans. Based on such apocalyptic predictions, combined with overcautious warnings from Beltway bureaucrats like Dr. Anthony Fauci, all but a few governors implemented economically destructive stay-at-home orders — despite the reservations of respected epidemiologists who questioned the logic of lockdowns from the beginning.

There are so many angles to the FBI-Michael Flynn imbroglio, and most have been covered in great depth across a divergent set of viewpoints. But one aspect that has not been covered, and that opens up a wider lens into FBI policy, is the fact that the FBI refuses to audiotape, much less videotape, interviews of witnesses or suspects such as Flynn. That policy is counterproductive and makes no sense in 2020. The FBI needs to take itself out of the J. Edgar Hoover era and align itself with modern law enforcement best practices.
