Trump’s Baptism Scene

Original Article

While the Corleone family of Godfather fame was the embodiment of mob life and the acquisition of money, power and prestige through criminal activity, the Trump family––in stark contrast––embodies the nose-to-the-grindstone, upward-mobility glory of the American Dream Nevertheless, when I think of the fanatical, maniacal and relentless persecution, accusations, vilification, and sabotage that President Trump has experienced for the past four years at the hands of crazed Democrats––both in and out of office––the infamously stunning Baptism Scene at the end of Godfather One comes immediately to mind.

We’ve heard this tune before and the ending is always the same. Nothing! Nothing ever happened to these reprobates. Wonder why nobody trusts anything from the government? Mark my words. No one will be prosecuted or go to jail for any of these crimes. Never happen.

Unfortunately going after Obama is a no-go. However, I would like to see some jail time for a lot of these others; especially those involved in the conspiracy to destroy Gen. Flynn. They should lose their livelihoods and their freedom, as he did. Liars!!

The national media must be utterly destroyed. Stop buying "newspapers" and go to streaming. If a camera crew and 'journalist" shows up, pelt them with rotten fruit and vegetables so they get the message

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) on Thursday praised former Defense Secretary James Mattis, who, on Wednesday, offered a blistering critique of President Trump as a divisive leader. "Gen. Mattis’s letter was stunning and powerful. Gen. Mattis is a man of extraordinary sacrifice. He's an American patriot. He's an individual whose judgment I respect, and I think the world of him," Romney told reporters. "If I ever had to choose somebody to be in a foxhole with, it would be with a Gen. Mattis. What a wonderful, wonderful man," Romney added. Corrections*

Donald Trump wrote Thursday that he would campaign against Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski over her praise of comments made by Gen. James Mattis, who the previous day lashed out at the president over threats to use the U.S. military to put down nationwide protests over the death of African-American George Floyd. Posting to his Twitter account, Trump vented over Murkowski’s public rebuke and vowed to head to her home state of Alaska and campaign on behalf of her as-yet-unnamed opponent in 2022.

During the 2012 presidential campaign, former Vice President Joe Biden was a sharp critic of Republican nominee Mitt Romney’s work for investment firm Bain Capital, but now Bain executives are helping fuel Biden’s 2020 presidential bid. Bain co-founder Joshua Bekenstein and his wife Anita each donated $250,000 to Biden’s super PAC in April, Federal Election Commission (FEC) records showed. The donations accounted for the majority of the PAC’s fundraising in April, according to FEC records. Additionally, both Joshua and Anita Bekenstein donated the federal maximum of $5,600 — split between the primary and general election — to Biden’s campaign, FEC records

The mayor of Minneapolis told individuals protesting that their anger is “understandable” and “right" but urged them to make sure they are wearing masks and practicing social distancing during their demonstrations. “The City encourages everyone to exercise caution to stay safe while participating in demonstrations, including wearing masks and physical distancing as much as possible to prevent the spread of COVID-19,” Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey’s office wrote in a statement addressed to individuals who took to the streets following the death of George Floyd while in police custody. “The City has made hundreds of masks available to protesters this week.”

A sharply divided Supreme Court late Friday turned aside a church's urgent plea that California's coronavirus lockdown orders are putting an unconstitutional burden on religious freedom. Chief Justice John Roberts sided with the court's liberals in rejecting a San Diego church's request for relief from Gov. Gavin Newsom's most recent directive limiting churches to 25% of their normal maximum capacity, with an absolute maximum of 100 people at any service.

As states across the country begin the process of reopening, Americans continue to battle over the methods governors and local authorities have used to tackle the coronavirus pandemic. Unfortunately, many states and localities have set up arbitrary and, in many cases, absurd rules that do little more than aggravate citizens and almost nothing to stop the spread of the virus. For instance, some Americans have been pulled over and ticketed for merely driving, hardly an activity that is likely to spread disease. One Pennsylvania woman received a $200 ticket for violating Gov. Tom Wolf’s statewide stay-at-home order when she said she had merely gone on a drive to relieve her quarantine restlessness,

Oh, Mitt. Mitt Romney what are we going to do with you. You haven’t been a total pain in the ass, which was a fear—but you’ve had your moments, sir. You voted with Democrats on one of the politically motivated impeachment articles against Donald Trump. You forever betrayed the Republican Party, this president, and should be relegated to the kids' table for all coming time. Then, you’re all worried about Donald Trump firing all these inspector generals, which was already in the works because most if not all are Obama holdovers.

The fate of the 2020 general election could hang on two congressional districts, one in Maine and the other tucked away in Nebraska. Maine and Nebraska are the only two states in the country that split their Electoral College votes by congressional district while also rewarding the statewide victor, giving Democrats extra opportunities to pick up votes in otherwise Republican strongholds. And with the fall fight between President Trump and Joe Biden set to be a tight battle for the White House, every vote will matter on Nov. 3.

From a pure football standpoint, Colin Kaepernick has not had a Hall of Fame career. He only played six seasons*. His career yards-per-attempt, while very good, still ranks behind the likes of Marcus Mariota (who just lost his job) and Kirk Cousins. He got benched for Blaine Gabbert. He never won a title, though certainly not for a lack of effort. A week ago, in the wake of a possible flattening of the COVID-19 growth curve, President Trump’s campaign could maintain some optimism. While polls suggested that the public trusted likely Democratic nominee Joe Biden as better than Trump at dealing with the health crisis, they continued to trust the president more on handling the economy. The polls were consistent with the idea that if he could convince the country to make the election about “who’s better for ensuring a strong American recovery?” he might be in a competitive position in November. Then came the death by asphyxiation of George Floyd under the knee of a Minneapolis policeman.
