RUSH: Anthony Fauci. Can somebody explain something to me? Why is Anthony Fauci the only medical and health official anybody ever consults? Why wasn’t there a panel of doctors the Senate committee talked to yesterday? There’s all kinds of different doctors out there. There’s all kinds of different health experts.(Snip) Why is Anthony Fauci the only health official and doctor that’s consulted? “Well, Rush he wasn’t. They had Redfield from the CDC.” That’s my point. They bring in all the government people. CDC, FEMA, Homeland Security, the same people we’ve been hearing from since this whole thing began,

Rush did, as usual, did a superb job in explaining why President Trump cannot or will not fire Dr. Fauci and used President Reagan as an example of “inheriting” someone with a “perfect reputation, a more perfect legacy for his expertise about HIV/AIDS; someone akin to Robert Mueller’s sterling reputation. Their reputations cannot be sullied. “It would be over if he (President Trump) did that. He hoped people would put aside their partisanship and come together for the sake of the country. President Trump knows “who’s lined up against him...how they’re trying to pull it off...their agenda to destroy him...the lengths to which they will go...the saboteurs have not fooled him.” He is handling it one way publicly by keeping, praising, thanking, and asking for more of their expertise—then ignoring what they tell you. Marketing.

There’s something about Dr. Fauci that I’m not comfortable with. I think it interesting that Fauci and Faust (look it up) are close in spelling. I can’t put my finger on it. I’m even uncomfortable with his looks. It’s just me....

I like to think of him as Fanucci (think Godfather II) without the height, looks and fancy threads. Same arrogant, bullying thug.

I for one would like to see him get rid of the lil turd! However, that said, the president could bring in some opposing voices and have them present as merely dialogue. They would have to be polite to each other, but in the meantime folks would get educated on the absurdity of this whole thing!

The discussion keeps being about Fauci---but it is us that are losing jobs, 33 million of them, our companies that have no revenue, us that are under stay at home orders, our kids not in school. Where is the voice for all those people? Rand Paul is right. Dr. Fauci is not the end all---but he has been, and that is the problem. Politicians should be liable for the damages they cause. We are incurring damages of $2T per month in this economy. Look at how much the Fed is printing, $2T a month. At this rate, we will double our debt in 1 year.

OK, while I think Dr. Fauci has contributed to the problem, I do not think he has done so as part of an attempt to bring down Trump. Yes, Dr. Fauci would almost certainly prefer a Democrat in the White House, but I do not think that has been his motivation for what he has done.
I am convinced that his actions and words are a result of the fact that he has spent basically his entire life trying to convince Congress to spend more money on controlling infectious disease.

PDT has brought in the expertise from many different arenas. He let the governors make decisions for their respective states. PDT is not being a dictator or a hitler. PDT has been bipartisan. Some of the dem governors have thanked PDT.
Let's see what kind of treatment these same dem governors give PTD as we get close to the election. (it will be entertaining.)

As discussed on this board earlier, Trump has been dealing with high functioning psychopaths and backstabbers his entire life. See here: https://heartiste.org/2016/12/15/revenge-is-a-dish-best-served-to-psychopaths/
Rush is right. Trump must publicly deal with Fauci and then ignore his advice. If or when Trump determines to carry out his revenge, maybe even after his second term, it will be very public and very humiliating.

Yeah but look at it from a PR standpoint. Little Iago makes a statement and millions of people duck back under their beds. Then when it's time to open up (like weeks ago) "Openers" have to fight that much harder.

Awww, poor ol’ Rush was being victimized by listeners asking questions. Rush did a good job of dancing and talking in circles and covering for his fellow billionaire buddy who is erasing the middle class (a major goal for ALL billionaires). Wake the eff up and get off of your knees, sycophants. You act like this is a game in which you must say the emperor’s new invisible clothes are beautiful lest you be seen as disloyal or stupid. President Trump knows he’s made one of the biggest mistakes in American history by shutting down the economy and handing the keys to the Democrats. It was incomprehensibly stupid and us “extremists,” people with basic, common sense who know that our greatest global enemy is the Democrat Party, knew it from the start. It’s surreal. Our founding fathers would be disgusted with what this nation has become and a few of them would say, “Called it!”

#13- Civility has been the essence of this website laced at times with occasional sarcasm—sarcasm where deserved; however, such derision is not deserved by Rush Limbaugh or President Trump. Rush is in a delicate situation due to his personal friendship with President Trump compounded by his “talent on loan from God” that has blessed him with insight and the oratory skill to speak intelligently on many subjects but finding it necessary to respond in a manner that may be considered “dancing and talking in circles” but is a response “understood” by his listeners his necessity to speak with some measure of restraint.
To accuse President Trump of wanting to erase the middle class is beyond the pale. This gentleman has taken enormous abuse for five years yet has not been deterred by his ultimate goal of Making America Great Again and that includes not only the preservation of the middle class, but wanting to bring the people of lesser means into the middle class. The unadulterated evil that surrounds this man by people intent on destroying not only him and his family, but the family business his parents established, that he nurtured and grew, and wants to leave for his children and grandchildren is irrational and criminal.
The hatred for President Trump is of such a magnitude that anything he does or does not do is criticized, lied about, and amplified throughout the world to depict him as a man who does not know what he is doing. Far from it. This is a man who runs circles around the leftist politicians and sycophants in the mainstream media. President Trump shut down the country with wariness and reluctance but did so based on the “expertise” of people in the medical profession—he chose to err on the side of caution rather than risk the lives of America’s citizens. The responsibility and criticism should be aimed at “the experts” that includes medical professionals and politicians who insisted, and continue to insist, on keeping this country shut down.
Indeed, “our Founding Fathers would be disgusted with what this nation has become,” but not at the fault of President Trump who has been trying to return this country to the decency of its founding but has been besieged with the tremendous forces of resistance by powerful, scheming, moneyed leftists.
Lastly, profanity, even in a disguised spelling remains, vulgar and unnecessary; further, insults to the polite and intelligent people who post comments to this highly respected website is unacceptable. We who support President Trump are not sycophants—we respect this man for his courage, patriotism, persistence, strength, and wisdom to restore America to the integrity and dignity of its founding.

Rush misses the simple reason for Fauci's continued status as MegaExpert in Charge: PDT created the monster that he cannot now destroy or disown, or even challenge. PDT was buffaloed by these experts with their bad data and worse models predicting the apocalypse from the beginning, and it was at the beginning PDT had the opportunity to broaden his panel of experts, ensuring none became the Dean of COVIDS. Instead he went with Fauci, giving him the spotlight and bully pulpit. And now he lives with it. And we live with it.

#16- Respectfully disagree. Rush fully understands the situation, by no means did President Trump create “the monster,” and President Trump was, most assuredly, not buffaloed by the “experts.” President Trump is blessed with a brilliant intellect as well as finely honed instincts. President Trump has expressed his skepticism about being told it was necessary to shut down the country, but chose to err on the side of caution on the chance the “experts” were correct in their massive fatality projections. As for calling in a broader panel of experts, there is merit in that thinking; however, when having the nation’s NIH “expert” right there, as part of the government in Washington, bringing in others would very likely be perceived as insulting to the “experts” already named as part of the task force. If anyone thinks it was an easy decision for President Trump to know that, in shutting down the country, the historical economy that occurred during his administration would go down the drain, they are seriously mistaken. For those who continue to criticize the decision, the reality is clear: President Trump would be damned if he did shut down the country, and damned if he did not.

Trump's biggest mistake in appointments is taking the advice of others instead of going with his gut. In this case, Pence recommended the great corrupt Fauci who set up that illegal lab in China because he couldn't do it in the USA. Why is he recommending schools stay closed in Aug/Sep? Because Mr. Saint Gates is attempting to shutter schools and sell laptops etc. to those vary same schools and made students stay home so they can turn their laptop on then immediately disappear out the door and somewhere else in the house in case mommy has a spy camera set up on the door. Worse yet, Saint Cuomo has already fallen for it by allowing Gates to take over his propaganda school system.
