A US Senator With Purple Hair?
Krysten Sinema’s New Look Is Causing A Stir

Democratic Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema definitely got everyone’s attention Monday when pictures started surfacing of her rocking purple hair during the pandemic. The senator showed up on the senate floor with shiny purple hair and a bright green sleeveless dress while donning a face mask. She didn’t explain much about the change of look from her platinum blond locks, to the new vibrant hair color. But she did take a second out to point straight at it while on camera. (

Comments:

Democrats demonstrate their concept of dignity. And she's one of the more reasonable ones.

With so many people tattooing themselves like circus freaks, I find I'm a lot more tolerant of what people do with their hair. After all, that's temporary.

The Senate floor? I don't think that this is funny, cute, clever, or fashionable. With men wearing tailored suits, the women look silly and unprofessional in some of the get-ups they wear, and with some of their stringy hair-dos. Look at a line of men and women together walking as professionals-----women who don't dress with the dignity equal to a man's tailored suit are selling themselves short. Tailored dresses can be striking; it doesn't have to be a suit per se. When I was acting in my professional capacity, I saw to it that I was as professionally dressed as the men, and that my hair was well groomed. What does this woman want people to think about her------that she is a shallow twit?

#2, agree. It does look like a wig. My Mom was a beautiful blonde. I decided to try a blonde wig one day. When I stepped into the music room, our Great Dane roared and looked about to pounce (he was protection trained). I spoke to him and backed out of the room, closing the door. My first and last time wearing a wig. Behaving clownishly on the Floor, not really smart. Security ought to employ a nice, big Great Dane...

She wants attention. People should carry on around her like nothing's changed. Ignore her. She'll either go back to "normal" or veer further left. Bottom line: studiously ignore her. Don't satisfy her attention craving.

She may be one of the more sane dems. She's been ostracized by the rabid left for siding with Trump on some issues instead of towing the party line. So. personally, I don't care what color her hair is. I think she's kind of hot. :)

Looks like we’ll be wearing face masks for a long time. It might be a good time to make the mask send an important message. Wearing a baseball cap with a message can tell lots about a person and their history. Let’s color code our face mask with a code.. Green mask could indicate a person has been tested and results were negative. White mask could indicate no tests have been made on this person. Red mask could indicate tests have been made and results were positive. This might give us a way to relax social distancing and other restrictions.

Battle lines are getting drawn up between the two parties on the next round of "stimulus" for the economy. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer are demanding as much as $1 trillion more in federal money to bail out state budgets. The blue states of California, Illinois, New Jersey and New York are lining up to be first at the trough. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has said there should be "no blue state bailout," and he is right. The whole idea of the federal government giving money to states is a foolish one. When President Trump brought up hydroxychloroquine as a promising potential treatment for COVID-19, a huge upsurge of negative political publicity followed from it. It was strange stuff, because up until then, the treatment, which had been safely used to treat malaria, lupus and athritis, had been seeing promising results for COVID-19, too. Yet the condemnations from all sides poured for weeks. It wasn't just the political establishment blasting it, it seemed to be the medical establishment, too. And that raises questions as to whether financial interests might be involved here.

Photos of a man wearing a home-made Ku Klux Klan hood as he shopped at a suburban San Diego grocery store caused an uproar on social media over the weekend. The unidentified middle-aged man, dressed in a camo T-shirt and cargo pants, was photographed Saturday evening in the produce section of a Vons store in Santee. Employees told him to remove the pointy hood, which he was ostensibly using to comply with face-mask requirements in San Diego County. “Several members of our team asked the customer to remove it, and all requests were ignored until the customer was in the checkout area,” said a spokeswoman for Vons

Stopping by Nomads Canteen in San Clemente at lunchtime on Saturday felt a bit like jumping in a time machine and going back two months, before the coronavirus pandemic shuttered businesses across the country and changed life for everyone. Dozens of diners sat at tables on the sunny deck or inside around the beach-themed bar, toasting margaritas and enjoying poke bowls. People stood a foot or two from each other, waiting for tables to open up. And almost no one, from the staff to the customers, wore masks. Just a few hours ago, I got back from La Jolla, a rich and deep-blue enclave of the city of San Diego that's the home of Mitt Romney. Recently unsealed notes show top FBI officials debated whether they should get President Donald Trump’s national security adviser Michael Flynn “to lie, so we can prosecute him or get him fired,” or “admit to breaking the Logan Act” for talking to former Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak during the presidential transition. As the deep-state onion gets peeled back layer by layer to its rotten core, it becomes clear this wasn’t mere government misconduct. It was a criminal conspiracy. These are not mere procedural quibbles, but profound questions about the integrity and legality of the FBI’s investigations into key officials in the incoming Trump administration, including Trump himself.

The cult of Michelle Obama is a puzzler. Thousands of strong, smart, independent women flock to every public appearance of, and hang on every platitude of, a woman whose sole notable accomplishment is her marriage. Lucking into marrying a celebrity is not usually posited to be the aim of feminism. No one can name a single other exceptional, or even unusual, achievement. The adulation is real, though. Hillary Clinton’s book tour meant sad, clenched-jaw appearances at Barnes & Noble. Mrs. Obama’s took her to the Barclays Center and other arenas big enough for pro basketball games. There’s now a documentary about the book tour on Netflix. Guess who made it?
