During their Town Hall call-in session last week, Sens. Lisa Murkowski and Dan Sullivan touched on an infrastructure stimulus package that could move through Congress soon – what many are calling Phase 4 of legislation that provides relief to families and businesses across the U.S. Our state’s economy has already been facing challenges, and the recent coronavirus pandemic has compounded them. Right now, the Alaska Permanent Fund and our primary industries of oil, tourism and fisheries are taking an especially hard hit, and we don’t know when it will let up.

No. Alaska needs to budget for the bad times. Not my responsibility to fund your lifestyle.

Why should I have to pay for infrastructure in my state AND in Alaska?

Use some of the oil money you pass around annually to your citizens.

Go talk to the Oil Companies. Hauling the heavy equipment needs for the oil rigs and housing the workers is what's breaking down your infrastructure.

this is a complicated story, but in a nutshell, LBJ wanted to mover Arthur Goldberg off of the U.S. Supreme Court, to make room from one of LBK's pals. Goldburg was offered the position of UN Ambassador, took it, resigned from the Court, and when Nixon was elected, became unemployed, ran for NY Governor in 1970, ;lost to Nelson Rockefeller, practiced law, representiing Native Alaskans in the great oil royalties deal.
and Goldberg did it pro vono - without fees, for the public good.
native alaskans were guaranteed payments from a state oil royalties fund, but for equity, white people received a payment as well.
the money has few, if any, restrictions. snow mobile purchases, boat purchase, gun purchases probably lead the purchases made. playing the subsistence life style by whites is an industry unto itself. There are lots of tv shows showing the life style, although some of the shows are fake. Aalaskan Bush People(Discovert Channel) is the biggest fake - the Brown family lives in the state of Washington, but were criminally charged in alaska, and pled guilty to Alaska fund fraud.
alaska can distribute its funds any way it wants, but it does offend me to see taxpayer money going there for infrastructure, when they piddle away their state funds.

Every issue raised here about what the state of Alaska needs for it's infrastructure are common and not unlike what every other state in the nation needs. And like every other state in the nation - these are issues concerning each state first - not the federal government and certainly NOT in the immediate need for the feds who are working to mitigate the China originated disaster we are ALL facing right now. Shame on Alaska for jumping the line for fed help on roads and bridges that just might have to come out of their oil funds. Shoulda been saving for this rainy day somewhere along the decades these things have been falling apart. My state will no doubt soon be raising my taxes here to cover our many shortfalls that we didn't save for neither. So keep your hands in your own pocket, Alaska. But yeah - dump Murkowski and maybe we can offer you a reward for that.

If you don't give Murkowski what she wants she will pout, stamp her feet and vote with the democrats.
The Russians and Saudis came to an agreement to cut production of oil. That means Murkowski needs to get in front of the cameras and tell the rest of the country how much Trump hates the poor Innuit people before the oil market makes its upward tick.

This sounds too much like a democrat siphon-off scheme to me and having Murkowski involved almost certainly proves it because her brain is wired in a democrat way. NO, fix your own problems.

Alaska...you want a free fix? Stop sending your annual "dividend" checks for a few years. That was over $1600 a head for 2019. Costs no one anything, and you got all the money you need.
