Democrats looking to blame President Donald Trump for every single coronavirus death in the U.S. — as well as the economic wreckage caused by the shutdown — keep pointing to South Korea as proof of his guilt.
In his statement on the coronavirus, Joe Biden had this to say: “South Korea detected their first case of coronavirus on the same day we did, but they had tests and sophisticated tracing programs to stop the spread of the virus, so they didn’t have to put the entire country on lockdown.”
At a press conference last week, PBS White House correspondent Yamiche Alcindor hit

Sorry, I think there are fair points of comparison. SK ramped up testing VERY fast and ISOLATED sick people. Early intervention can make a BIG difference in the progression of the disease. The CDC botched early testing, hobbling us out of the gate. When Trump realized the problem he opened test protocols to private companies which solved the problem and got us on track for testing but the damage was already done, we were weeks behind.
Yes, there are population size and density differences. Higher population density should have made it worse in SK but it did not seem to. Perhaps it had something to do with dems encouraging foreigners to visit and calling Trump a racist for shutting down Chinese visitation. If they had locked things down, tested early, and isolated sick people they might have been more effective. Yes, they have high rates of testing NOW because reality has bitten them on the butt but BEFORE they were too busy dissing Trump and following the opposite of what he was saying, seemingly just to make him look bad. Dems are used to lack of consequences for their stupidity. They played games with our lives and are losing and so are we. Will there be accountability for this?

In Korea the Virus was traveling and mostly to younger people. In Italy the Virus was mostly in Older people.
That makes it hard to extrapolate either into the General US population.

We knew this sort of criticism was coming . The Democrats and the media were busy impeaching the President when it started, then they were busy complaining that he didn't act soon enough ,and when the crisis is over they will be complaining that he did too much.

The other "unseen" factor may be that the South Koreans knew the Chinese were lying from the get-go so they took it very seriously whereas the rest of the world (Dr. Fauci included) believed the initial data coming out of China.

South Korea did not have over 340,000 people both Chinese and others fly into
America, mostly California and New York between November 27 and January 31, 2020 the day set be President Trump as the cutoff date for all flights from China. They also had many flights to Europe where most were to Italy. But by then it was to late to prevent the spread of the virus worldwide.
The true 100 percent blame for this worldwide infection lays entirely upon China.
Any attempt to put blame elsewhere is imbecilic.

Three things about South Korea...
- Its overcrowded.
- They have to contend with heavy pollution.
- The culture is more aware of public safety. Many of them use face masks when in public. When the virus hit, probably the majority of the public already had access to face masks and promptly started wearing them. It was no big deal for them since they have been living that way for decades.
The Democrats are in hysterics regarding Trump. They won't ever stop. One has to presume they would govern hysterically. We don't need that.

These Apples/Oranges comparisons are one of the tools that allows the MSM to spread lies, gloom and doom. i.e. Italy has this so it's going to get "much worse" here. COVID-19 might just be the final campaign of untruth that brings them all down. So, in addition to all of the crash courses in medical knowledge we are getting we will finally rid ourselves of the fake news infection.

S.Korea was testing 10,000 people per day in Feb-20, while the CDC was testing 12 people per day...did that matter?
Based on those tests, S.Korea was immediately quarantining any infected people, while the CDC was too busy scratching its own itchy butt...did that matter?
S.Korea followed the disease vectors, tested anyone contacted by those victims, and then quarantined them as well...did that matter?
The point is, not all triage protocols work equally well, no way. If something S.Korea did was better, why not learn from it so we can do better next time?

# 1.
Under the Obama / Biden administration the CDC's work was changed from primary disease research and control to working on social justice and health disparities.

SK is a peninsula with its land connection to NK heavily defended (DMZ). Much easier to control ingress and egress. They have what? Two major ports? Inchon and Pusan? Different situation entirely.

The CDC is still overrun by Obamabot minions, and they have gotten away from doing their real mission for so long that it took awhile to get them back in action. That is on Obama. I agree that except for maybe measuring the speed of response time, we should not be comparing apples and oranges right now. We are not SK or Italy or any other government/nation. We are America, and we stand on our own. SK is maybe two steps away from joining the ranks of a more authoritarian government, and that is the biggest reason comparisons just do not work.
Trump spent the time he had during the impeachment hearings doing as he said he would be doing during his SOTU speech. Ramping up the Fed response to the coming CV, and if people missed that, that is on them. Our style of government is a trade off when it comes to these kinds of outbreaks. Just look at our anger at the State governors who put on their heaviest jackboots. We are not happy are we? Well the SK folks are used to that kind of stuff from their government, and so are most of the Asian nations over in that region. We in America are not.

The virus was able to quickly spread in the USA because of mass globalization and essentially open borders where any foreigner with the wherewithal can obtain a temporary visa and enter the USA. Those concepts have been institutionalized in the USA by the profit driven globalist investor class and the DC UniParty machine over many years.
The result of that being that the President can only keep foreign nationals coming on temporary visas out of the USA, and not US citizens, or foreign nationals who are resident aliens (Green Card holder’s) considered under current law to be US Persons. That’s why so many people were and still are coming to the USA direct from China and other countries in large numbers.
Since being elected President Trump has tried, with great resistance from the globalist investor class and the DC UniParty, to shutdown and limit globalization by returning a lot of US manufacturing and the related jobs, along with tightening up the nation's borders. An example of that globalist and open borders resistance happened when Trump stopped some foreign nationals with temporary visas from traveling direct from China to the USA and immediately was slammed by Joseph Biden and the Democrats as being a racist and a xenophobe for taking that presidential action. In recent years over forty million foreign nationals have come into the USA with temporary visas each year with little or no medical screening. One thing is for sure, America’s enemies are now seeing how easy it is with America’s current mass globalization and open borders how easy in would be to import weapons of mass biological destruction into the USA.

South Korea is a monoculture. Could it be that they are more resistant to the Wuhan CoV? There is no stopping the spread of a virus like this. Like stopping the common cold. Something else is at work in the SK case. Maybe they count deaths realistically. And maybe their habits cause them to be exposed to lower levels so that they get asymptomatic infections and raise the herd immunity.

SK does not have the slavery backing, institutional racism creating, hate filled party - the DimoKKKraps.
They are a millstone around America's neck in every beneficial endeavor. All the virus was for Nasty Pelousey was a smoke screen for wheelbarrowing money out of the Treasury.

WTF do I care what South Korea did or did not do??! All I care about is how President Trump tried to do his job and he met with nothing but noxious hateful and seditious obstruction from the Leftist Democrats. As far as Im concerned, ANY issues we have now with "what should have been done" can be laid at Nancy Pelosi et al's feet. IT IS ALL THEIR FAULT because from what I could see the Trump Administration was trying to implement course corrections to protect this country and all they could do was foment chaos.
I HATE THE LEFT. I HATE PELOSI. I HATE THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA. Those folks havent succeeded in getting rid of the 2nd Amendment or the access that the American people have to guns. They want a war? We'll give them one. Im sick of being in their Clown Rodeo Asylum. LOCK THEM UP. FREEZE THEM. But stop making me live so I can fill that gaping black hole in their soul that can never get enough.

#1, some of the reports I saw were that their "rapid testing" had a 50% false positive rate, not much better than throwing darts.
Physical size is a huge issue, they had half their entire population in one metro area, so anything that had to be done for half their population was a physically local opearation. We have 3,000 miles to cover, and massive differences in what is happening, one size does NOT fit all here.

Big deal. May as well compare the USA's stats with Luxembourg's. But then you'd have to educate that Alcindor reporterette how to find Luxembourg on a map.

Ah so. S. Korea seemed to get ahead of the virus quickly. Of course they may have. I think the S. Koreans have been practicing for a long time. Stock piling. Their northern border is N. Korea. Threatening the S with ballistic armegedan. And, of course, biological weapons. S. Korea (just as Israel) have vile neighbors and prepared themselves for a possible attack. The USA has "friendly" countries on our borders. Not to worry. Who among the 2 border countries would infest us with biological warfare? We don't need to have all those items (masks, respirators, ppe). President Trump took the wake up call. Finding a huge mess. The dems are like Nero. You can figure that one out. Three cheers for the S. Koreans. I hope we will follow their practices. Remember why they are prepared!!!

It seems that most of President Trump's problems are the result of trusting anyone in the federal government. He (and Flynn) believed the FBI was honorable but soon found out different, he thought the state department worked in the interests of the United States, he even thought that Schumer was not that bad of a Senator! And he trusted the federal medical bureaucracy when they told him they could take care of testing. He (and Bush) should have fired appointee that was a holdover from the previous administration. And not trusted Republican swamp creatures to help him pick his staff.
