"This is WRONG!" - Licensed Physician in Utah
Unable to Prescribe Hydroxychloroquine Because
'State Has Taken Over Distribution of Drug'

Original Article

A licensed physician in Utah said on Sunday that he is unable to prescribe hydroxychloroquine because the state has taken over distribution of the drug. Dr. Bill MD, is “trained extensively in diagnosis and treatment of human disease.” (snip) Dr. Bill opened his private practice at 26, hired 4 medical doctors, a PA, and 12 nurses growing to one of the largest private family Practices in Utah. Dr. Bill also built the 6 medical office buildings in a 10-year span housing his practice in 3 of those buildings.

Comments:

In Utah the gov't (read, the LDS church) has taken control of this medication's distribution. Just for their own, perhaps?

This is an old, safe drug. It was first developed to fight malaria, then also used for certain autoimmune diseases. A full course of treatment, with a z-pack, would be less than $100. Why is this even controversial? We are in crisis. There will be no vaccine for a year or more. We need all available tools now. What is going on?

You are correct, #1. I watch the Surgeon General squirm and spin when asked direct questions about this drug. I watched a former FDA Commissioner get that uncomfortable, let’s change the subject look when he was with Tucker on Friday night. There is something very odd going on.

I’m sure the Fed can lean heavy on the state by threatening to withhold all government funding from D.C. if they don’t let the medical community have the life/saving drug.

Listening to the way the experts are answering I think they are deflecting. Fauci keeps saying we need massive clinical trials to be sure. That is not the same as saying it doesn't work. I think they are pretty sure it works and are accumulating a sufficient stock to treat the critical cases plus preventative doses for the high risk population. Then they may announce yes they believe it works.

Do pharmacists now have to know the diagnosis of the patient? Are lupus patients denied the drug? Of not, diagnose the patient with lupus and an accompanying sinus infection. I guess that would be unethical, and would be considered more like a M*A*S*H diagnosis if any of you remember that old TV series.

A 58-year-old patient came to see me one Monday morning not long ago. He was like so many in his age group — he had spent the weekend getting in a week's worth of exercise. His left knee was sore, and he wanted an MRI. He was not a professional athlete with a huge stake in his physical well-being, and he had not fallen on it or twisted it; it was simply sore from his three-mile jog on Sunday morning. "It's covered by insurance," he told me. Never mind that there was no medical indication to qualify this particular hurt for an MRI.

Wind and solar energy are both essentially obsolete technologies. There is a reason why only the very rich or the very adventurous sail across oceans: the wind is unreliable, and at best produces relatively little energy. Nevertheless, liberals have concocted fantasies whereby all of our electricity, or perhaps our entire economy, will be powered by those fickle sources. There are a number of reasons why this will never happen, but a paper published last week by Center of the American Experiment argues that land use constraints are the most basic reason why wind and solar are inexorably destined to fail. The paper, titled Not In Our Backyard, is authored by
