Michigan Democrat Governor Threatens
Licenses of Doctors and Pharmacists
Who Prescribe Hydroxychloroquine to
Treat Coronavirus…

Original Article

Governor Gretchen Whitmer from the Michigan Directorate has threatened to turn the eye of the state upon any doctor or pharmacist who would attempt to prescribe chloroquine to treat their patients suffering from coronavirus. Medical licenses may need to be revoked. The agency’s March 24 letter warns physicians and pharmacists of professional consequences for the prescribing of hydroxychloroquine (and chloroquine). Beyond the rational recommendation against hoarding, the letter includes threats of “administrative action” against the licenses of doctors that prescribe hydroxychloroquine.

Comments:

Sundance hits Comrade Whitmer with some pretty heavy sarcasm while bolstering the argument FOR hydroxychloroquine with some pretty compelling facts. My two bits say she spun off of that moron governor in Nevada, whose “advice” came from that state's Medical Director, who got his degree of some kind in Romania, delivered some babies in Africa, and is not licensed to practice medicine in the US, Vote straight ticket Republican and KAG and SAFE!!!!!

She MUST let the doctors do their job and butt out. If the patient understand the risk, it should be up to them and the doc. Whitmer is the gov of my State, and she should just stick to "fixing the damn roads" and stay out of medicine.

I'm thinking a couple things ... doctors aren't writing Rx's for hydroxycholorquine and stuff willy-nilly. And most politicians are rotten doctors. Yes, there's probably an increased demand for Plaquenil (a drug I used to sell many years ago in another career) and shortages are a concern. But any COVID-19 use is normally a short term (5-10 days) vs the normal maintenance use (long term). Plus, the prescribing information still suggests a baseline eye exam as long-term use does raise the concern of macular degeneration (rare, but it happens). The doofus Democrat governors of Nevada and Michigan prove that "Medicare for all" socialized medicine means medicine for none (well, except for their chosen friends). Kind of like Cuba's liberals-lauded medical system. Great free care, but not an asprin pill in sight.

Physicians in Michigan, like physicians everywhere, owe their first duty to their patients. This dimwitted governor may very well flush out physicians into other states. And as a bit of trivia, when Dirty Donna Shalala was Dollar Bill Clinton's Secretary of HHS, Shalala opposed compounding, and tried to el;iminate it. seriously. Shalala holds an undergraduate degree in Journalism, and a doctorate in Social Science. A garden gnome with no medical background...

OMG, OP! I hadn’t heard about this guy who got his degree in Romania! I lived there for 3 years in the early 80’s and knew several Americans who were studying medicine there. They were the people who couldn’t get into American med schools. And this guy apparently may not even be American. We used to say that medicine at that time in Romania was one step below leeches and we vowed that, if we ever walked into a doctor’s office and saw a degree on the wall from a Romanian med school, that we would run screaming for the woods.

Didn't Dr. Fauci state that doctors have the right and ability to prescribe that medicine if they deem appropriate? Is she trying to interfere with doctors and their patient? Will she take the heat when someone sues the State over a loved ones death that may have been prevented by treatment using that drug along with other drugs that have shown a lot of promise?

99.99% of us pharmacists don’t prescribe. The other 0.01% are a part of a practice group overseen by a physician where a pharmacist may prescribe by protocol (not counting hospital pharmacists who prescribe per protocol of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee). Not sure why that guv is picking on pharmacists, but you can go back to the Elvis Presley's (pre-HIPPA) case to find out that the pharmacist who filled the medications the doctor prescribed lost his license. The doctor received a slap on the wrist. This has been the historic treatment of pharmacists doing their duty. The guv may as well add that they will go after "any and all cashiers, attorneys, or warehouse workers who attempt to prescribe hydroxychloroquine for coronavirus" since it's as relevant as pharmacist's prescribing. (I am a pharmacist licensed in 4 states)

The virus will teach us many things, but one lesson has already been relearned by the American people: there are two, quite different, types of wisdom. One, and the most renowned, is a specialization in education that results in titled degrees and presumed authority. That ensuing prestige, in turn, dictates the decisions of most politicians, the media, and public officials—who for the most part share the values and confidence of the credentialed elite. The other wisdom is not, as commonly caricatured, know-nothingism.(Snip) the other wisdom also puts a much higher premium on pragmatism and experience, values instilled by fighting nature daily and mixing it up with those who must master the physical

Media’s Latest Strategy To Fight Trump:

For years, the media complained that President Donald Trump wasn’t holding enough press conferences. Now, as the media’s poor performance in his daily coronavirus press conferences is on worldwide display, they’re begging him to leave his own press conferences, and leave them alone to craft their anti-Trump storylines. When March polls showed Trump receiving unusually high marks for his handling of the Coronavirus pandemic, and the media receiving their traditionally low marks for it, many journalists began pushing for censorship of the press conferences. While many outlets tried this approach, it obviously failed with viewers who turned to other outlets for the news they sought.

Outspoken Never Trumper Alec Baldwin has succumbed to stage 4 TDS once again. There does not seem to be a cure for the far-left actor. His latest rant accuses President Donald Trump of taking unprecedented control of the federal government. [Tweet] “Trump has reached for, and nearly gained, a control of the federal (government) unrivaled by other Presidents,” Baldwin said. “He fired huge numbers of [government] professionals. He steamrolled the Congress, whenever possible. And now this. If you vote for Trump again, you are mentally ill.” Baldwin continually uses Twitter as his preferred platform to smear the President,

He practiced what he preached — then he died of coronavirus. An evangelical pastor died of COVID-19 just weeks after proudly showing off how packed his Virginia church was — and vowing to keep preaching “unless I’m in jail or the hospital.” In his last known in-person service on March 22, Bishop Gerald O. Glenn got his congregation at Richmond’s New Deliverance Evangelistic Church to stand to prove how many were there despite warnings against gatherings of more than 10 people.

Here’s a video people being physically removed from their homes to be put into quarantine. The footage is a chilling scene from communist China. Think it can’t happen here? That this happened in the United States chills me. In both China and our country, the individuals being removed resisted the authorities, but they were ultimately defenseless against a small army of state enforcers.

America’s infectious disease expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci, appeared on CNN and told Jake Tapper that “obviously” fewer people would have coronavirus if we had shut down the country earlier. He punctuated it by saying there was “push back” to the idea.
A full listen to his answers show Dr. Fauci wasn’t aggressively laying blame anywhere, and he repeatedly warned against second guessing. He stated clearly, for example, that comparisons to South Korea were illogical. He admitted that he looks at things from a, “pure health standpoint,” meaning that he doesn’t concern himself with your job or your neighbor’s small business.

MARIN COUNTY, Calif. - Some Bay Area residents are learning the hard way - violating the stay at home order can be costly. But it really depends on where you are in the Bay Area. Different cities and counties are enforcing the orders in their own way. At Sea Cliff beach in Santa Cruz County, a San Jose woman who wished to remain anonymous was cited Thursday after snapping a photo during what she called a "mental break" from the confines of home. “A sheriff's officer pulled up and told us that he was going to give us a citation for

For the first time in the 2020 coronavirus crisis, President Trump has appeared to publicly put some major distance between himself and the Coronavirus Task Force’s principal medical advisor and spokesman, Anthony Fauci, M.D. (snip) Indications of President Trump’s mounting unhappiness with Fauci came in a tweet by the president yesterday at 6:51 PM EDT in which he retweeted a tweet by DeAnna Lorraine, a Republican who unsuccessfully challenged Rep. Nancy Pelosi in the California primary last month, that included the line “Time to #FireFauci:”
