Dr. Ronny Jackson says Trump

pandemic on level of Italy, Iran

Former White House physician Dr. Ronny Jackson praised President Trump Monday night after he announced a list of guidelines that he and the White House coronavirus task force hoped will slow the spread of the pandemic within 15 days. "The president has done everything he needed to do in this case," Jackson told "Hannity". "He’s acted quickly and decisively. He did what he always has done...he went with his instincts."

Dr. Jackson was asked about the lack of tests available to the public and defended President Trump’s administration. He said the lack of tests was one example “of some of the regulations in government that the president has been getting rid of.” Dr. Jackson said President Trump “put together a top-notch team and he was criticized,” yet President Trump carried on doing what he needed to do for our country including putting the China travel ban in place. Because of President Trump’s “quick and decisive actions,” he does not think this country will experience what is going on in Italy and Iran.

While I appreciate his kind words for our president, and fully agree that President Trump has done a great job with this situation, I honestly don't think there is any way we would have had the level of "pandemic" that they had in Italy and Iran. I honestly believe that China, Iran and Italy had higher death rates than the rest of the world because they have such high levels of smoking. Add the pollution levels in China, and they were doomed to higher death tolls for a virus that attacks the lungs. With the stigma of smoking taking it to much lower levels here, combined with much cleaner air, most normal healthy people who get this virus are going to survive. Otherwise sick people (especially those with emphysema and other lung problems) are going to be the majority of our deaths. But we would have had much higher survival rates with common sense measures than they would in those other countries even without some of the extreme measures (like gun control declarations of emergency that some lie-beral mayors have tried to enact during this situation).

According to an article I read yesterday there is a reason Italy was hit so hard. Unable to borrow more money from the EU, Italy turned to China and partnered with them for their belt and road initiative. There has been large and constant interaction with China for the last year. Italy has almost 400,000 Chinese nationals living in Italy, the highest number in EU. Add to that the fact that Italy has the oldest population in Europe and you have the reason for the severity of their outbreak. I believe that 99% of the fatalities have been elderly.

I have to admit, I was very surprised to see that Italy got hit so hard with this virus. Third world type countries with lousy hygiene sure. But Italy? very surprising.

I saw Reince Priebus on a Fox show recently and he said since PDJT came to office, he had been meeting with pharmaceuticals, medical, manufacturing - don't know all the groups but he was making contacts. When this virus thing happened, he got in touch with those people and the result is the private-government solution to getting things done much quicker than if it was only the government. We know what a boondoogle that is.

#5, the Italians smoke like chimneys. Coronavirus attacks the lungs. That is far more a direct correlation than sanitation is. Face it, if the level of sanitation mattered, India would have a huge number of deaths.

A World War II memorial in North Carolina’s largest city was reportedly defaced over the weekend with a hammer and sickle. Wonder where today’s “cancel culture” comes from? It comes from college campuses, fueled by young people and abetted by an older generation that has not had the courage to say no. This is how the slide toward totalitarianism begins. Silencing the opposition is essential to creating “legitimacy” for despots like Vladimir Putin or Kim Jong Un;

When the great American experiment in liberty officially comes to an end, there will be plenty of finger-pointing and blame-assigning taking place. Plenty of Founding Fathers observed that the natural progression of things was for government to grow and liberty to contract. But when we’re wanting to pinpoint what institutions, what things played the biggest part in facilitating the demise of freedom, I am going to predict that a fair reading of history will show that few entities had a bigger hand in destroying our civilization than the American university system.

Veteran investigative journalist Carl Bernstein said friends of President Trump believe he is "out of control." The Watergate sleuth told CNN's chief media correspondent Brian Stelter on Sunday a "big underlying story" about Trump is his mental and physical health. This was part of a report on how White House sources "whisper" about the president's "mood swings." "Looking at the president’s mental state, especially what his friends are seeing now, and they’re very concerned about his conduct," Bernstein said on Reliable Sources. "They say he’s out of control. Some of those I've talked to, that’s their words: 'Out of control.'" National security is at risk, Bernstein warned, "if, indeed, the president is unstable."
