The Bernie Bros are vowing revenge.
As the presidential campaign of Sen. Bernie Sanders continues to crash and burn, the socialist’s most hard-core supporters are vowing they will never vote for Joe Biden at the ballot box — even if that means handing Trump a second term.
“We will never – NEVER boost or support Joe Biden or defend his abysmal record and terrible policy positions,” Henry Williams, executive director of The Gravel Institute, told The Post. “We will tell people, as we always have, to vote their conscience and to make decisions based on the interests of all the world’s oppressed people …

Hold that thought, Bro's, hold that thought! Even sane Democrats have got to realize Uncle Joe just isn't the best choice, or even a choice at all.
As Flounder said before the big parade, "Oh boy, this is gonna be great!"

Bernie supporters are absolutely correct to be furious, (although they are absolutely mistaken about collectivism). The demise of Bernie was hardly organic. The media, the powers that be in the Democrat national Committee, the Clyburn endorsement of Biden, Warren staying in after Buttigieg/Klobucher/Bloomberg had dropped out (had Warren dropped out sooner, many of her votes would have gone to Sanders), the Clinton people behind the primary vote counting disaster in Iowa, the California Democrats who didn't count the ballots and successfully muddied the waters around Sanders win in their state. The forces against Bernie were seen everywhere and were reminiscent of old time, back room, political bosses pulling every string to manipulate and determine the outcome. They denied Sanders with super delegates in 2016. This cycle, they used dozens of different strategies. And now, the Dems will throw a few bones/bribes/threats in Bernie's direction, Bernie has really already capitulated (announcing he will support the Dem candidate), and then the Dems have to at once convince the Bernie Bros that they are hard left, while trying try to fool the electorate that they aren't and that Biden is a moderate (which is nonsense). If it's crummy, disingenuous, etc., Democrats do it.

Sanders' support was never more than an inch deep, no matter how wide it might have been. In 2016, Sanders was unfairly treated by the DNC. Without that torpedoing, he might have beaten Hillary Clinton for the nomination. But he never had sufficient voter appeal to win a national election. The young people who are his most fervent fans don't turn out to vote in the numbers he needs. The rest of us know a crazy old man when we see one and we're not going to make him our president.

But for an exodus to work, you kids have to vote. You kids don't vote, just make childish, empty threats.

This is certainly one direction this could go. Even if it is a third of the Bros that sit of their hands or vote Trump, dems lose the election. Add this to the #BLEXIT, #WalkAway, and other leakage of dem supporters, the dems have far too many leaks in the dyke to be plugged.
Further, this has long term implications. The dems will not win elections for the foreseeable future with a "Democratic Socialism"/Communist bent. Bernie has been drawing around 35% of the party. There are others sympathetic to his ideas, pragmatic Socialists, that won't support him because he can't win against Trump. Let's estimate that half the dem party thinks Bernie's ideas are worth a shot at some point. There is another portion of the party just as certain that Bernie is dead wrong and Communism is a disaster. This is a hard fracture in the party that will not be subject to compromise.
It's pretty funny since the dem party nurtured the Communists over decades to keep their votes. The Communists now think it is their time. The non Communists probably found the Communists amusing and thought they would never be a significant force. Now they are on the edge of losing control of the party and are horrified. The dems are a victim of their "we will do and say anything for your vote" mentality.

I support the Bernie campaign and his Bros Not because I agree with them, but I feel it is high time that this dangerous, deceitful,. damnable ideology finally come face to face with reality. A Donald vs Bernie Brooklyn style slugfest is overdue. I have a hunch that Sleepy Joe is going to dissolve like a lump of mud in water right before our eyes in the coming debate. Order the pop corn.

Win-Win. Bernie goes away, his tattooed, purple-haired basement dwellers go away. Yes, he got screwed but it wasn't the democrats that did it, it was his own crazy communist philosophy that only appealed to those who salivated over all of the free stuff that was never going to materialize. Fools, all of them.

Bernie didn't have the cojones to run as a Socialist. The DNC keeps telling him in no uncertain terms, We'll take your money, but don't expect us to support you as we would a True Democrat.
Bernie knew this going in, and is content to take the money his Bros provided him, and go home. No wiser, but much wealthier.

As Gramp's campaign continues to falter, his push for a communist Amerika will not end here. A possibility in my view is that Gramp's radical element of the dim party will split away and form a socialist party and take its millennial base with it. But, others will replace him. But, probably not until after November 2020.

You have to wonder if a Bernie-Bros “Massive Exodus” from the Democrat Party will still occur if the Bernie-Joe debate tonight turns into a love-fest which would indicate that Bernie has been paid off?

Don't think this hasn't entered into the calculations of a possible third party candidacy. It's not about attracting the Bernie Bros...true believers will not vote for any but their pure chosen one. This is gauging the harm nominating Biden will cause to Dem turnout among "moderates" IF there is another, more sane and lucid alternative. Given the choice of Joe and Bernie, maybe the "moderate" answer is elsewhere...

The BBs think they're holding a political gun to the Dems' head threatening to let Trump be reelected if the Dems don't nominate Bernie.
Why does it seem more like one of the more memorable scenes in Blazing Saddles, though?

I still say the DNC should just buy Bernie another house and he will go away. It worked last time.
This time a nice mansion on Martha's Vineyard. That is if he doesn't mind it recently being integrated.

The best revenge for the Bros would be to vote Trump in all the close states.
After all they can survive another Trump term & by helping to deliver a massive down ballot defeat set the stage to totally take dem over. Win/Win for US.

The Bros. may revolt - - but gutless Boinie himself never will.
Boinie just wants his payoff - - another lakefront or oceanfront mansion - - or two or three - - will suit Boinie just fine.

Donna Brazille's melt down on Fox News when she told RNC head Ronna McDaniel "Go to Hell" twice, and to the Republican party "stay the Hell out of our election" twice, is telling us something. "The lady doth protest too much me thinks". So, can CNN be trusted to not slip the debate questions to dementia Joe? Jose Ramos will not be there, he's been exposed to the Wuhan virus.

Nowadays the establishment Democrats are using both Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden to get to the Democrat National Convention, whereupon the titular leader of the Democrat Party Barack Obama and the so-called Super Delegates will decide both the Democrat Presidential and Vice-Presidential nominations that most likely will not be either Bernie or Joe.
If Obama and the Super Delegates do stay with Joe, Obama will pick the Vice-Presidential nominee in return for his support. That nominee will most likely be a minority lawyer-politician, who most likely has not been at the forefront of the national political scene this year, who could never be elected President in his or her own rite, who is a liberal Democrat politician that the Democrat establishment would like to see as President, which with Joe’s oncoming dementia and diminishing cognitive abilities, if elected, would be likely to happen, with that person then as the incumbent President eligible to run for re-election in 2024 and 2028. Stay tuned.

These Bernie followers have been played. Bernie never ever wanted that difficult job of President. Way too much work and stress and annoying people and criticism.
Bernie's goal has always been to drive the party as far left as possible. He's been very effective.
But when it comes time to fight to the end, Bernie always folds. He said he didn't care about Hillary's @$#% emails. He recently said Joe Biden is his friend.
Bernie is trying to exit without throwing votes to Trump....it will be a dicey move.

I'll give this to the Bernie Bros. They have more spunk in them than ol' Bernie the Red. In both 2016 and 2020, he got screwed by the DNC and he has, like the pledge in Animal House, keeps saying "Thank you sir, may I have another."
The Bros realize that the fix is in.

No, most likely the ticked off Bernie Bros will convince the pig to run under his true colors, the been sleeping for decades, "Communist Party USA,' once haunted by the likes of fellow traveler, Gus Hall. Bernie will fit right in and feel quite at home.

I agree with poster #20. Bernie can't win. Joe is becoming toxic to the middle 20% of voters and the Dems know it. Once Bernie is eliminated, we will start to hear more negatives about Joe. This will allow the Dem establishment to slip in a candidate of their choosing unvetted and unscarred by the campaign/debate process.

I would not vote for Bernie Sanders even if he was the only person running for the office. That said, Bernie got a raw deal in 2016 and what he is getting this year is NOT a warm and fuzzy back massage, but something that could open a wine bottle! One lying, scheming anti-American red diaper doper baby is just as good (or bad) as another.

I wouldn't put too much stock in this. There are not going to be any last minute candidates. Hillary may have had a brief window but that has past. Moochelle never was. The party is stuck with Biden and most of the Bernie types will reconcile themselves to that. They have months to do so.
