At last comes a measure of reassurance about the effects of the global pandemic: A woman who has fully recovered from coronavirus is a living, breathing beacon of hope. Elizabeth Schneider, 37, had a relatively mild experience with the sometimes-deadly virus, for which she treated herself at her home in Seattle, Washington. So far, the Northwestern state has suffered the highest number of deaths — at least 30 — in the US from the disease. Schneider, who has a doctorate in bioengineering, told the Agence France-Press she was sharing her story “to give people a little bit of hope.” Her story is more common than one might think:

We need more reassuring testimonies such as this. The Communist China Corona Virus (CCCV) is similar to the flu or common cold. We shall overcome.

This proves what real doctors have been saying all along. if you are young and have a good immune system, this won't be fun by you have over a 99% chance of surviving. Almost every death in Washington state has been an elderly person with a compromised immune system -- many of them in the same nursing home. But you have to really dig to find that in the MSM!!! We need to take any virus outbreak seriously, including flu and Coronavirus. But the panic has got to stop before it destroys a lot more lives by destroying their livelihoods -- which will still be hurting people long after the virus has run it's course!!!!!

Yes. We need more information about this virus. I'm still not sure why I need to be afraid of IT. I am certainly afraid of cancelling everything. That's not going to be good. A lot of jobs are going to be lost, a lot of businesses will go under. All we'll be left with is toilet paper.

Like all media driven narratives, this one is short on facts. I have heard the survival rate is about 99%. Are they dying at a higher rate in China? Despite the left's insistence that govt run health care is great, I doubt few sane people would argue that our health care and sanitation is far better than it is in China. I would be confident that the survival rate for anything would be higher here, so since so many cases are in China their mortality rate would skew the total higher than it should be.

Here is an interesting story. My friend bought some Clorox wipes 6 months ago and one of the infections listed that they are effective on is ‘human Coronavirus’. This isn’t new. This is a media hyped panic that has become an opportunity for the Democrats to use to tank the economy. It is unfortunate that Trump is somewhat forced to play along. Americans are easily manipulated.

The MSM keeps hyping the numbers of cases, trying to make it sound like a pandemic, which it is not, but this is the first helpful story I've seen, what to look for in the details of the symptoms. The Mrs and I are going to do what we have been doing before this bug hit, sit out here in the woods watching the birds and squirrels while we cook on the grill and hike the trails. I don't pay attention to the NBA or the NFL so if they go under it will probably improve the country.

She had tested positive for COVID-19. Surprisingly, Schneider felt relieved. “I was a little bit pleasantly surprised, because I thought it was a little bit cool,” I actually like this comment. It says a lot about the fact that even people who are suffering with the virus see it as more of a curiosity than a real threat. And look! Someone wrote an article about her! She got her picture in the paper and everything! I kind of like this woman. I pondered this because I just finished reading about people with kidney problems in another thread on L.Com. My neighbor has had one kidney transplant and is on the list for a second. My neighbor suffers. Covid-19 is cool, because you recover.

Just as a heads up after seeing a tweet yesterday I learned something about the possible origin of COVID-19 in Italy I had not heard from the msm... I wonder why... not. Did you know there is a huge Chinese population in Northern Italy brought in as cheap labor is clothing and leather goods factories which the Chinese have now bought up? And they are from the same region as the original cases of this virus. They have direct flights to China and the Chinese mob has been heavily involved in this region and community for decades. Start spreading these stories a bit more far and wide, and this will help the media calm down. Even Tom Hanks said that he and his wife got it and it was not that bad. The media is attacking this nation and our president and exploiting this virus for their own ends. It is revolting, and I have been hearing tales about how angry people are getting at the media for overblowing this virus all out of proportion.

Former NYPD officer and Secret Service agent Dan Bongino lamented the deadly use of force by Atlanta police officers on Friday but noted they were only presented with “a bad and worse option.” According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), police responded to a complaint about a male “parked in the drive thru” at a Wendy’s “asleep, causing other customers to drive around the vehicle.” The report said police had the man perform a field sobriety test, which he did not pass. At that point, officers attempted to take the man, later identified as 27-year-old Rayshard Brooks, who is black, into custody. He “resisted and a struggle ensued,”

"Autonomous zones” cropping up around the country appear to be Occupy Wall Street redux, only with a different cause than the 2011 campaign — both share one common element, that being a left-wing maneuver leading up to a presidential election. With the People’s Republic of Seattle setting the tone, progressive zealots in Chicago gave it the old college try, though you could say they are making a mess of it. [Tweet] A group of students began protesting Friday against the University of Chicago Police Department at its headquarters, calling for the abolishment of the department.

Three cities, all supremely liberal, represent an American descent into anarchy against which no one is standing. After New York Mayor Bill de Blasio said he wanted to slash the police budget, the New York City Council is going about cutting $1 billion from that budget, about 16%. That will inevitably cause a reduction of police presence around the city and, with equal inevitability, result in an increase in crime. In Minneapolis, where George Floyd was killed in police custody on May 25, the city council plans to disband its police force entirely. On Friday, the city council voted to replace the police with a “community-led public safety system.”
