Democratic party and state officials in Colorado and Utah say early voters have inundated them with requests to recast their ballots because they voted before two major Democratic presidential candidates withdrew from the race, according to a report.
“When Pete Buttigieg dropped out we had a lot of voters who wanted to know if they could vote over, and later on Amy Klobuchar dropped out,” Salt Late County Clerk Sherrie Swensen told Fox News, “But we were already answering phone calls, emails from voters who wanted to know because they had submitted their vote by mail ballot or voted early if they could have a chance to vote over.”

I would say no. If you want to stop the fraud, early voting, absentee voting (except military overseas), voting by mail and all those should GO AWAY. It is a joke. Voting should be the day of the voting in person at the voting place. If you take your time and read comments on world newspapers about the way we vote, you be ashamed.

Yet ANOTHER embarrassing faceplant by the Dems! LOL! And these are the people that want to have power over all of us-they shouldn't be allowed to run a freaking lemonade stand.

I completely disagree with #1. There are people (like some of my relatives) who can't be around large crowds of people or can't stand in line for long periods of time. There are also those who are traveling or ill on voting day. A much better solution is to make the current system more reliable.

What's funny is a lot of these states encourage people to vote early so they can start tallying the ballots already received. Now there will be lots of votes for zombie campaigns that are meaningless.

Did they honestly think the entire clown car was going to make it all the way to the finish line with their particular clown still in? Well, no - but their vote was cast to get things underway. This is the winnowing process. This is the function of primary voting - it's working how it's supposed to. These votes are not for the 'winner' - they are for who gets to keep going. Too bad if they chose poorly - no do-over.

If you vote for a loser well that's what you get, a loser, I know my candidate won't be dropping out.

There are legitimate reasons for absentee ballots (infirm, traveling, in assisted living, etc.) but the vast majority of voting should be in person on election day using paper ballots (or punch cards), like it used to be.

Wouldn't this be a great story if, at the end, Bernie's margin of victory over Biden is so narrow it all comes down to the eagerness of the early voter.

Sorry, you vote early, you take the risk that your candidate might drop out (or worse). I always vote on election day. I think if able-bodied people can't be bothered to show up on the actual day, they must not care who wins. (And I wondered how many of the early voters are coming in late to work or leaving early "to vote.")

Watch the general.
Joe Biden at the top of the Dem ticket, only to have to drop out due to being indicted for fraud, extortion, racketeering and talking to people who aren't there.
Then, of course, the election becomes null and void and Congress gets to appoint Pelosi as POTUS.

Just wait....some PC dem will propose that disenfranchised early voters must have their vote counted, presumably allotted to the candidate's preferred choice. Or to the popular vote winner. Nothing will surprise me.
Personally I'm thrilled early voters got screwed.

I've always been worried about the chain of custody with early voting. It needs to be scrapped altogether for this reason, too.

Wonder how many of these early votes will go down the toilet in the general, too. Heh! People should vote on the day of the election.

I 100 percent support this proposition. Let's start the whole thing over in Iowa for the Democrats! Glorious sight to behold! These poor Amy and Mayor Pete supporters have been disenfranchised...is that like the right word for a commie? Anyway...make it so!

This is the very good reason not to have early voting also, all of you who voted for the dropouts deserve to lose your vote and you should have your right to procreate taken away.

Everyone gets to vote once, not twice. It was their choice to vote early for candidates who had no chance once the corrupt Democrat establishment swung into action. I would say tough luck!

There is a difference between dropping out and suspending a campaign. Any candidate who suspended their campaign is still awarded deligates if they get enough votes.
Let the horse trading begin.

Sorry #1 - I totally disagree !! Here we go again. As I’ve posted before.
I’m a paramedic. EMS is a 24/7 job. I have worked every holiday. It’s part of the job. I’ve also had to work Election Day. Do I not get a vote ??
I started paying taxes when I was still in Hugh school. I’ve never had more than a speeding ticket.
My wife and I raised two sons. Both are good citizens. Both became US Marines, hence my name. Both are married. They are good fathers and are raising their children with the beliefs that we all profess to have. Both have good jobs and are tax payers. One is a cop.
I speak for myself and for people in many services that work a 24/7 career. We should have the right to cast our vote also.

LOL, if voting for a loser before the general election is the worst impulsive thing you do in life, you are ahead of the odds.

The problem of candidates dropping out and early voting, isn't really about early voting itself. Rather, it's about some states voting before other states do, so why not change it so that ALL states have 5 or 6 days of early voting on the same days, and then ALL states vote on Super Tuesday?
That would solve this problem and still give people the opportunity to vote early if they can't vote on election day.

Democrat voters, you stupid idiots, do you really think you pick the Democrat nominee? No, you don't. The Democrat Party machine does that, and always has. You are just a foolish tool. And by the way, the Democrats have and never will do anything for you. So, Democrat voters, have a really nice day!
