I don’t know if there’s anything to say in this post that wasn’t said in yesterday’s post. Second verse, same as the first: It suuuuuure looks like the Biden comeback in South Carolina is real. Which is the opposite of what I would have expected after Bernie ran the table in the first three states. In particular, his surprising blowout in Nevada had every indication of Democrats nationally beginning to warm up to him and accept him as a viable nominee. South Carolina would be the fourth and final domino to fall, and that would be that. Instead Biden’s gone from an average of 23.3 percent in SC

If the Democrat leadership is as panicked over Bernie as reports say, there should be plenty of money and endorsements headed Biden's way once he makes a decent showing in South Carolina.

The DNC does not want Bernie so they were forced to begin their resuscitation of Joe before Bernie's lead got too big. This came about not for love of Joe but for hatred of Bernie. If democrats can do one thing well, it's hate. Rioting begins in 5, 4, 3.

It'll be good if Joe wins a few and gets some delegates. The ideal scenario is if Bernie gets the most delegates by June, but is short of the nomination. The Sooper-Dooper delegates will then have to put their heads on the line and choose a candidate for Pres.

I hope that Biden is the nominee. By November he will be completely incoherent and the Bernie Bros will all stay home. BTW, the media keeps saying that 60% of the electorate in SC is black. Completely untrue. It is a red state. 60% of the demonrat electorate may be black, but I would question that number as well.

The DNC is going to have a much harder time hiding their backroom shenanigans from the voters on this go round. Many of the rank and file may just vote for Biden as the safer alternative to the stem the Socialist Wave.

The black Congressman, Jim Clyburn and his cronies waited for Biden's check to clear before endorsing him. Old Jimbo is one step in front of the sheriff but he's the hand-picked front man for the black churches and community organizations in S.C. There's lots of "walking around" money down there now ... a game Sanders foolishly didn't pay to play. The results will show but Super Tuesday will tell much more! I urge all Republicans to vote in open Demo-rat primaries and screw things up by supporting Styer or Amy.

What does this say about the rest of the field, if Gaffe-O-Matic Joe is taking the lead? I am living in NC and have not seen any advertising for Joe. It is pretty much all Mini Mike and Bernie for Presidential candidates with a Klobuchar ad here and there. Pete and Warren must be very low on dough. There is a State Rep running against Tom Tillis for US Senate and his ads run continuously. DC must be giving this guy lots of $$$ to oust Tillis.

#13 - See my post at #5. Biden is just now placing ads. I'm advising my non-affiliated friends here in NC to Vote Joe. Resurrect him. Get him into a brokered convention against Burnie. No way the the super delegates support Burnie. Then maybe the Burnie Bros stay home and help the Pubbies down ballot. Plus the pure comedic relief of watching a Biden vs Trump debate. Ol' Joe might not even know what office he is running for or where he is. My concern here in NC is the probable Cunningham / Tillis senate election. The Dems will throw a boatload of $$$ at this race. The Pubbies are vulnerable in the Senate having to defend 23 seats. I don't even want to imagine Schumer as majority leader. Say bye-bye judges if that happens.

Hard to be sure which is the bigger loser against Trump, Dementia Biden or Commie Boinee. Either way, I don't see the Boinee thugs voting for Biden beyond perhaps half of them, and the Biden folks may support Boinee at an even lower level. So many weak candidates, dividing the Dems into tiny fiefdoms and ranting at each other, don't seem too likely to be real unified in November. All seems good, Biden will have trouble remembering his name by November, and Boinee will be ranting and flapping all the way to the end, angry and screaming his cold war era Commie slogans. Seems pretty weak.

South Carolina Democrats vote to
slow down the socialism train

Heading into South Carolina, it appeared that Democrats were taking the express train to socialism. Sen. Bernie Sanders arguably won the chaotic Iowa caucuses, then went on to a solid victory in New Hampshire, and a crushing triumph in Nevada. As the race went toward the Palmetto State, there was talk that Sanders might be able to deliver a “kill shot.” Instead, Joe Biden revived his candidacy with a dominant win, fueled by black voters who tend to be more pragmatic than the pro-revolution wing of the party. A day after winning Nevada, 60 Minutes aired an interview with Sanders in which he dug in on his decades of defenses

The South Carolina primary has been called for Joe Biden. This isn’t a surprise. South Carolina, with its large number of black voters, has always been seen as Biden’s firewall, but early returns suggest that his margin may be impressive. Bernie Sanders apparently is finishing second. Possibly the most important fact about today’s vote is that none of the Sanders/Biden alternatives showed any perceptible strength. Michael Bloomberg didn’t participate. There has never been a moment during the campaign when I have taken Biden seriously as a candidate for the Democratic nomination, let alone the presidency. Despite today’s win, his decrepitude seems to be accelerating. No doubt you have seen reports

On January 20, 2020, the nation turned towards Virginia as a massive Second Amendment rally took place in Richmond. Why did this “Right to Bear Arms” rally occur? Because Virginians were afraid of an aggressive legislative agenda aimed at gun ownership in a historically pro–Second Amendment state. The gun grab legislation that fueled the pushback was proposed on January 10, when House Bill 961 passed with a 51-48 vote. This dubious legislation, in short, would have prohibited the sale, transportation, and transferring of newly defined “assault firearms.” The ill-fated bill also would have banned magazines with a capacity of 12 or more rounds, suppressors, and other elements —

Whenever Bernie Sanders’s socialism comes up in the Democratic debates, he deflects criticism by saying he favors something along the lines of Denmark’s model. Sanders’s debate rivals almost invariably let this answer pass. (I think Pete Buttigieg tried to take it on in the last debate but couldn’t get the floor.) In reality, the policies Sanders advocates bear little resemblance to those of Denmark and other Scandinavian countries today. They do resemble many of the policies these countries tried 50 years ago. However, these policies failed and were discarded. The Vermont socialist is getting away with false advertising, including bait and switch.

A number of pundits have recently argued that younger voters, especially those under 30, are less inclined to be bothered when they hear the word “socialism,” since they have no firsthand memory of the Cold War. To some extent, this must be true. Those who weren’t alive during socialism’s cruelest catastrophes — or even its many banal failures — will be less put off by the idea. Then again, if a presidential candidate were praising the excellent public transportation system of the Third Reich or going on about the some alleged benefit to American slavery, they would rightly be chased from the public square forever

SUMTER, S.C. — In October, Pete Buttigieg said he would do better with South Carolina’s black voters once they got to know him better. When he came back in December, he was still working on introducing himself to the black electorate. And in late January he admitted he was scared that at his rallies in South Carolina, where 60 percent of the Democratic electorate is black, most attendees were white. Those fears were borne out on Saturday, when Mr. Buttigieg was trounced in South Carolina’s primary and earned just two percent of the vote from African-Americans, according to early exit polling.

Myrtle Beach (United States) - For centuries, South Carolina's Charleston was the largest port of entry for the transatlantic slave trade. The persistence of mental health hardships among gay and bisexual men, which endure even as LGBTQ people gain greater acceptance and civil rights, can be explained at least in part by the corrosive effects of status consciousness, competitiveness and racism within the gay community itself. Those are the striking and potentially controversial findings of a study published in January in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology that may broaden appreciation of the unique stressors faced by gay and bisexual men. Gay and lesbian people have a more than fourfold higher rate of suicide than the general population. Among transgender people, the gulf is even wider.
