The Democrats didn’t like President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address because he highlighted data, such as the strong economy and record employment under his watch, they’d rather voters didn’t know. But those points were just a start. There’s much more about Trump that his opponents want to hide from the public.
The Democrats have stayed true to their talking points, calling Trump a “monster,” a “white supremacist,” and a “dictator” at every opportunity. While campaigning in New Hampshire, Joe Biden said the president “doesn’t have a shred of decency in him.” Former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg

In contrast to the U.S. citizens who may have been exposed to the coronavirus, transported by the U.S. from China to U.S. military bases in California, willingly coming to isolation units and then being given humane care to ensure recovery, (and speaking gratefully for it) China is conducting mass arrests of anyone exposed to the coronavirus and dragging them to camps. According to the Daily Mail:
Officials in protective suits are seen holding onto two people by their arms before a third more resistive man is picked up from the floor and carried away in one shocking clip

At a time when Confederate monuments are being pulled down, it would make sense to think that the military geniuses who defeated the real live Confederates might in conversity be honored, right?
Not in an age of idiocy.
So, the 200th birthday of General William T. Sherman, destroyer of Atlanta and much of the South across the Civil War, the master strategist who, alongside U.S. Grant. led the Union forces to victory, goes virtually unnoted.
It shows that the Confederate statue pulldown isn't really about winners or losers.

Because the American electorate is rather evenly divided between Republicans and Democrats, turnout becomes the key to electoral success in November. While a lot can happen in nine months, there are five factors that I see discouraging Democrat turnout and helping the GOP.
The Biden family scandals
Thanks to Adam Schiff, Jerry Nadler, and the impeachment lynch mob, the lid has been blown off the Biden family's practice of trading on the patriarch's position to enrich themselves. Biden's campaign is imploding, so he won't be on the ballot. But the investigations of Hunter and Burisma are heating up

The Iowa caucus is still a mess, a bad enough one that Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez has called for a "recanvass" of the entire operation.
No results, and more to the point, no believable explanation, either. The explanations have shifted so many times it's now come down to the all-purpose one: Blaming Trump.
According to Fox News:
Workers manning the phones in Iowa after the state's disastrous caucus on Monday reportedly claim that President Trump backers flooded the hotline number for precinct chairs that led to even more confusion and disarray.

Lost in the shuffle of the Democrats' app fiasco in Iowa, the rubber-room swan song of House impeachment manager Adam Schiff, and the childish paper-ripping tantrum of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the candidacy of "frontrunner" Joe Biden looks headed for the dumpster.
To the extent known from the Iowa caucus ballots counted, Biden is in fourth place, winning just 15% of the caucus count, trailing Pete Buttigieg, Bernie Sanders, and Elizabeth Warren, and just barely ahead of Amy Klobuchar. Unlike those first three, he gets no delegates for his efforts. He's also out of money. It's simply a disaster for Biden.

Nikki van den Heever, a caucus precinct captain for former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg, tried to talk down an Iowa woman who was incensed to find out — in real-time during a caucus after she’d signed a card supporting him — that the candidate is openly gay.
“Are you saying that he has the same-sex partner? Pete?” the woman says in the clip, which was posted to both Twitter and Reddit early Tuesday morning. “Yes,” van den Heever responds.
“Are you kidding?” the woman says, and upon being told Mayor Pete is married, says “Then I don’t want anybody like that in the White House.

If Democrats harbored no real belief that President Donald Trump would be removed via the impeachment process thanks to a Republican Senate majority, they surely hoped that the process would at least put a dent in the commander in chief’s popularity. Yet the latest numbers indicate that not only has the Senate trial had the opposite effect, it has also bolstered Trump to an all-time high approval rating.
According to the latest survey released by Gallup, 49 percent of Americans approve of the job Trump is doing as president. The poll was taken from Jan. 16-Jan. 29 — which covers much of the period during the trial.

Lefties couldn't stop cackling after NBC broke the news that John Kerry was considering a late entry into the presidential race.
DES MOINES, Iowa — Former Secretary of State John Kerry — one of Joe Biden's highest-profile endorsers — was overheard Sunday on the phone at a Des Moines hotel explaining what he would have to do to enter the presidential race amid "the possibility of Bernie Sanders taking down the Democratic Party — down whole."
Sitting in the lobby restaurant of the Renaissance Savery hotel, Kerry was overheard by an NBC News analyst saying "maybe I'm f---*** deluding myself here"

Against the violent talk and now actual violence coming out of the Bernie Sanders campaign for president, Bernie's soaring in the polls anyway.
He's doing so because unlike pretty much any Democrat except his probable nearest rival, Michael Bloomberg, he's actually talking about the economy, something TeamTrump has held a monopoly on.
Problem is, he's promising economic paradise, a full creation of 20 million jobs. Via Nate Silver, here's one of his ads that ran in California:
Sanders says he's going to create 20 million jobs? Through state intervention or socialist central planning, presumably? Better living through socialism?
Give us a break.
For starters, been there done that. Way back in 2008,

LONDON - A Brexit supporter burned a European Union flag beside Downing Street in central London on Friday as others jeered at pro-EU demonstrators in the final hours before the United Kingdom is due to leave the bloc.
About 200-300 pro-European Union supporters were mocked by pro-Brexit supporters as they walked from Downing Street to the office of the European Commission in London. Police formed a line to keep the two groups apart.
The pro-Brexit supporters were singing “shame on you, shame on you”, “losers, losers” and “bye, bye EU” to the tune of Auld Lang Syne.

One-party blue city San Francisco has a corruption problem.
Turns out the sewage on the streets isn't the only thing filthy about San Francisco. Its man in charge of that clean-up, Mohammed Nuru, was busted with a septic tank full of corruption charges.
According to the San Francisco Examiner:
In the biggest public corruption scandal to shake City Hall since 2015, [San Francisco Public Works Director Mohammed] Nuru and local entrepreneur Nick Bovis of famed Union Square sports bar Lefty O’Doul’s have each been charged with one count of wire fraud.
Nuru, 57, and Bovis, 56, allegedly attempted to bribe an airport commissioner to help win a bid for a restaurant
Comments:
Colossal incompetence and nothing to do with Trump.
