President Trump wasn't happy that Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-Mich.) voted to impeach him, and went low with his response.
As the House of Representatives voted on Wednesday night, Trump was speaking to supporters at a rally in Battle Creek, Michigan. He asked the crowd if they knew Dingell, calling her a "real beauty," and then mentioned that after her husband, the late Rep. John Dingell (D-Mich.), died earlier this year, he offered to give the family "A+ treatment" when it came to the state funeral.
"I didn't give him the B treatment," Trump said. "I didn't give him the C or the D. I could have."

A man accidentally tripped a burglary alarm in his Anaheim home and was arrested along with his housemate, who told officers over the phone to inspect their house, resulting in the discovery and seizure of over 150 guns from the residence on Monday, Dec. 16.
Officers responding to an automated notification from an alarm triggered at a house near West Broadway and South Archer Street found the front door of the dwelling open, Anaheim Police Sgt. Shane Carringer said. They called one of the people registered to that address, and he asked police to enter the home to investigate.

An American Airlines mechanic accused of sabotaging a navigation system on a Miami flight with 150 passengers aboard pleaded guilty Wednesday to attempting to destroy the aircraft in a plea agreement designed to avoid a maximum sentence up to 20 years in prison. “I do admit the guilt,” Abdul-Majeed Marouf Ahmed Alani, 60, said through an Arabic interpreter in Miami federal court. Alani, a veteran AA employee who had lived in California and commuted to his job at Miami International Airport, now faces up to three years in prison under a joint recommendation by the U.S. Attorney’s Office and his defense lawyer.

President Trump, as he is impeached, holds Michigan campaign rally originally appeared on abcnews.go.com As voting began in the House to make him the third president in United States history to be impeached, President Donald Trump took the stage in Michigan on Wednesday for a much-anticipated campaign rally. Trump hit the stage for his last campaign rally of the year in Battle Creek, Michigan, just as Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff introduced the two articles of impeachment facing the president. Minutes later, he was impeached on the first article. "It doesn't feel like we're being impeached," Trump said, to cheers, just after stepping to the podium.

Hollywood elites celebrated their version of Christmas on Wednesday as the House of Representatives voted to impeach President Donald Trump along mostly partisan lines, with Democrats passing the two articles of impeachment brought by the House Judiciary Committee. A slew of far-left celebrities including Rob Reiner, Alyssa Milano, and Michael Moore gloated over the proceedings, calling President Trump “criminally corrupt” and a “motherfucker.” They also denigrated the Republican Party for being filled with “white men.” Filmmaker Michael Moore said he gained access to the House gallery to watch the proceedings in person. “Congress is about to impeach a lawless, criminal president,” the Bowling for Columbine director tweeted.

"Are they working for you as they promised?" he said on his Fox Nation show "Reality Check," adding: "What are they actually doing in Washington, D.C., and with the remaining workdays in December?"
Webb observed that the Democratic campaign platform in the 2018 midterms did not include calls for impeachment. Though he acknowledged that Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib told supporters soon after she was sworn into Congress in January that she intended to "impeach the mother-----r.”

It is said there are two things you should never watch being made: sausage and government budgets.
Now we can add impeachment to the list of stomach-turning sights to avoid.
The arcane rules, phony cordiality and debates over the second sentence in paragraph G of Point Six were bad enough, but the nausea meter hit the roof when Nancy Pelosi took the microphone. Wearing a funereal black dress, she stood next to a cardboard American flag and recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
I would have counted her more honest if she had pledged her allegiance to a Democratic donkey.

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) on Wednesday night voted "present" on both articles of impeachment against President Trump. On Monday, Gabbard said she was still undecided as to how to vote, and was "taking this time for myself to be able to review everything that's happened, all the information that's been put forward." Gabbard is the only member of the Democratic presidential field able to vote on impeachment.
Her move ticked off former Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill of Missouri, now an MSNBC contributor. When told by anchor Brian Williams about Gabbard's first "present" vote, McCaskill responded, "That's just stupid."

A group of House Democrats is pushing Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other leaders to withhold the articles of impeachment against President Trump that are expected to emerge on Wednesday, potentially delaying a Senate trial for months. The notion of impeaching Trump but holding the articles in the House has gained traction among some on the political left as a way of potentially forcing Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) to conduct a trial on more favorable terms for Democrats. And if no agreement is reached, some have argued, the trial could be delayed indefinitely, denying Trump an expected acquittal.

Homelessness in Seattle has reached a crisis point. Despite more than $1 billion in public and private spending across King County, more people live on the streets than ever before (a problem that will likely get worse, following the Supreme Court’s refusal to address the legality of public camping). But rather than focus on the causes of homelessness—addiction, mental illness, and social breakdown—progressives in local government have waged war against abstract forces of oppression.
Last week, the leaders of the homelessness response in Seattle and King County hosted their annual conference under the theme of “Decolonizing Our Collective Work.”

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) launched the debate over the impeachment of President Donald Trump on Wednesday by comparing the Democrats’ struggle to remove him from office to the Battle of the Bulge against Nazi Germany in World War II. Described as “Hitler’s Last Gamble,” the battle began in December 1944, when the Nazis sent 200,000 troops into a surprise attack against American forces. Though the Americans prevailed, 100,000 were killed or wounded over two months of fighting.
Pelosi drew an analogy between the impeachment debate and that battle, the largest ever fought by the U.S. Army:

Panama City - Panama declared a day of national mourning for Friday, the 30th anniversary of the U.S. invasion that ousted dictator Manuel Noriega and resulted in hundreds of deaths in the Central American nation.
The measure approved Wednesday by members of President Laurentino Cortizo’s Cabinet, a first for the country, has been a main demand of relatives of those killed in the military operation, who see it as a symbolic step toward justice for the deaths of Panamanian civilians and soldiers.
It calls for Panamanian flags to fly at half-mast on the anniversary, but not for obligatory closure of businesses and government offices.

But you probably already knew that.
Unless we step into an alternate reality, in which Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) bursts into gales of laughter and begs Sen. McConnell said as much on Tuesday in response to Minority Leader Charles E. They face a blowout election from voters in 2020, probably comparable to what Britain got, based on their crazed effort to impeach and remove President Trump over some totally non–national security issue like arms to Ukraine.
They're sinking in the polls. Their favorite networks are seeing collapsing ratings. They have a string of bad candidates, each more socialist than the next. Voters hate socialism, along with guys who are too old to run. The Horowitz report exposed the dishonesty and absence of integrity of their Deep State allies.

Last year, many Texans comported themselves in an admirable, even heroic manner. But too many other Texans seemed quite happy to try to compensate for all that decency by acting in an idiotic, even malevolent fashion. Craven politicians, heartless corporations, inebriated marksmen, clueless members of the fourth estate, and a whole host of individuals who really, really should not be allowed around children—those were the people and entities who seemed all too intent on confirming the worst stereotypes the rest of the world has about Texas. And perhaps inventing a few new ones.
Let’s take a moment to remember a whole bunch of nincompoops—and worse!—we hope to someday forget.

An Israeli Jewish student has been subjected to harrowing anti-Semitic abuse on the New York subway, being called a 'f***ing stinkin' a** Jew'. Lihi Aharon was riding the train from Manhattan to Brooklyn when a fellow passenger launched the sickening anti-Semitic tirade. 'Allahu akbar,' she shouted at Aharon, 'It's in the Quran, where they curse the serpent Jew, you wouldn't believe. You f***ing nasty a** Jew ... you f***ing stinking a** Jew.' The woman later knocked the camera out of Aharon's hands and the victim alleges her face was grabbed hold of and left with a scratch.

Grainy surveillance video captured the robbery and fatal stabbing of Barnard College freshman Tessa Majors in Morningside Park, it emerged in a Tuesday court hearing for one of her alleged murderers. A surveillance camera mounted atop a security booth near the entrance to the park was rolling as three alleged teenage muggers accosted and knifed Majors, 18, on Dec. 11, an NYPD investigator testified. “It’s a pixelated video,” said Detective Wilfredo Acevedo, adding that the clip captured “a little scuffle at the bottom of the steps, and poking motions towards the victim.” The video’s existence emerged in a Manhattan Family Court hearing for Zyairr Davis

Cops are looking for a maniac who launched a string of violent outbursts Monday on the Upper East Side—including a random slugging of a woman looking at her cellphone. The suspect can be seen on surveillance video gingerly walking on East 85th Street near Park Avenue around 11 a.m. when he suddenly strikes the 21-year-old woman in the face without notice, according to police. The victim suffered bruising and swelling to the face but refused medical attention. The suspect simply walked away. Minutes earlier, the suspect approached a man sitting in his car in front of 960 Park Ave., cops said.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and several other female House Democrats are wearing black attire in an effort to show Wednesday’s scheduled impeachment vote is a “somber day.”CNN chief political correspondent Dana Bash tweeted that Pelosi conveyed to her that she “feels sad” over today’s vote as she walked into the House chamber while House Democrats debate impeachment. “As she walked into the house chamber @SpeakerPelosi told me she ‘feels sad,’” wrote Bash, before adding in a subsequent tweet: “@SpeakerPelosi is wearing black. One of her colleagues told me several of the female Democrats did that intentionally to signal it is a somber day.”

Florida Democratic Rep. Alcee Hastings, the vice chairman of the House Rules Committee, delivered a bizarre, rambling line of questioning during Tuesday’s impeachment hearing.Oddly enough, Hastings, while serving as a federal judge, was impeached back in 1988 and removed from office in 1989.Though the impeachment inquiry took place in 1988, the acts themselves – soliciting a $150,000 bribe in exchange for lightening sentences for two mob-connected individuals – took place in 1981. Hastings was acquitted of conspiracy and obstruction of justice charges in relation to the bribe, but new evidence later revealed Hastings had lied during his testimony and falsified evidence.

New York - Paul Manafort's state charges in New York were thrown out by a judge on Wednesday in a dramatic court victory for the former Trump campaign chairman.
He won a claim that the prosecution brought by New York state's attorney general, Letitia James, was invalidated by 'double jeopardy' laws because it overlapped with the federal crimes of which he was convicted earlier this year.
However Manafort remains in federal custody and is not scheduled for release until Christmas Day 2024.
But the judge's ruling opens the way for Donald Trump to set Manafort entirely free by presidential pardon or by commuting his setence.

This Christmas season, decorate your trees and hang your stockings, and know that three kings come again, bearing gifts. But this time, 2,020 years later, these three kings bear gifts not for the baby Jesus, but for the Democratic Party.
The biggest lie in American politics today is that Republicans are the party of the wealthy elite, and the Democrats are fighting for the little guy.
While corporate political spending is split roughly down the middle between Democrats and Republicans, in all other categories the Democrats are way in front. Labor unions, which collect and spend at least $14 billion per year in the United States, are almost exclusively committed to Democratic

Democratic reliance on dangerous myths and falsehoods is no longer a bug but a feature of their narrative and philosophy.
Case in point are comments made this week by former President Barack Obama. At an Obama Foundation Leaders event in Singapore, Mr. Obama, relying on gender stereotypes, perpetuated an undeniable, and dangerous, myth that women are not just better than men, but inherently better leaders. (Snip) That’s odd, because we are living in an era where we have seen the results of women in political leadership and, like with men, the results are, to be kind, a mixed bag. Not only have women leaders failed, they’ve done so in spectacular fashion.

Derangement is a mental impairment that causes those afflicted with it to make very bad decisions, often ignoring or disputing realities that would caution them against their self-destructive actions. It is often speculated that the real goal of Democrats is to “place an asterisk” next to President Trump’s name. (snip) here are seven facts that will place an asterisk next to this impeachment, as a monumentally foolish act of political malpractice

Today's the big impeachment day, and the Democrats are still yelling and piously intoning about it about its importance. It's big. It's rare. It's "historic" as newsman David Muir was saying last night.
There's just one problem: The public is not paying attention. Actually, it's bored as hell, and the evidence of it is everywhere.
It's like they gave an impeachment and nobody came.
They're not talking about it in the streets, not even in far-left Berkeley.

Lee Zeldin (R-NY), a hard-charging GOP congressman from Long Island whose district includes the Hamptons. It’s not because of any viral moment in a public hearing. President Trump on Wednesday will be far away from Capitol Hill -- and the Washington establishment he has long criticized as an irredeemable "swamp" -- as the Democrat-controlled House of Representatives prepares to impeach him in a likely party-line vote on charges of obstruction of Congress and abuse of power.Instead, the president will be on friendly turf in downtown Battle Creek, Mich., hosting a rally that may rank among his most defiant -- a marked contrast from the approach of former President Bill Clinton, who mostly stayed under the radar during his own impeachment proceedings in 1998. There will be unusually tight security near the Capitol building

If their only intent was to distract the public’s attention from all the good news piling up around President Donald Trump, Democrats could not have timed their impeachment votes better. Trump is racking up wins that are going unnoticed by the impeachment-obsessed media, but not, apparently, by the public.
Last week, to take one example, Trump secured a rare agreement with Democrats, who signed off on the U.S.-Mexico-Canada agreement, which supersedes NAFTA. This has been a longstanding goal of Trump’s, who campaigned on fixing what he called the worst trade deal ever. Whether the USMCA is a big improvement over NAFTA depends on whom you ask, but nobody can deny

As they prepare for their final battle against the galaxy’s forces of evil, the characters in The Rise of Skywalker remind each other several times that if this doesn’t work, everything that’s come before—everything they’ve fought for, everything they’ve been through—will all count for nothing. You could say the same of the movie itself. We can debate the importance of final chapters, whether they really have, or should have, the power to elevate or invalidate everything that came before them—and though the ninth episode in this generation-spanning story has been advertised with the promise that “The Saga Will End,” that’s a promise that has been made and broken before.

Through months of impeachment proceedings, Democrats, with the help of a parade of witnesses, have hammered away at President Trump for abusing power. Yet as the House prepares to vote on impeaching him, Trump's approval rating is virtually unchanged from before the process started — neither cratering from the negative news or benefiting from any large-scale backlash against impeachment.
This has become a pattern for Trump, whose approval rating (while historically low) is the most stable in history — or at least since Gallup started measuring presidential approval during the Harry Truman presidency. Since taking office, Trump has never polled higher than 46% or lower than 35%,

China routinely broke federal law by not disclosing how much it spent to publish regime propaganda in the New York Times, the Washington Post, and other newspapers, an expert review of foreign agent registration filings concluded.
China Daily, an official mouthpiece of the Chinese Communist Party, has published hundreds of propaganda articles designed to look like ordinary news stories in some of America's most influential newspapers. While foreign agents may place ads in the United States, the propaganda outlet has repeatedly violated the Foreign Agent Registration Act (FARA) by failing to provide full disclosures about its purchases.

A Washington Post fact-check released Thursday gave House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) four Pinocchios for a "bogus talking point" about the number of children killed with firearms each year.
Pelosi has repeatedly claimed that 47 percent of gun deaths were "teenagers or children," according to the Post. CDC data show the real number is closer to 9 percent, meaning the House speaker exaggerates the true number by more than fivefold. This discrepancy led the Post to assign Pelosi's claim the harshest rating on its fact-checking scale.

House Democrats, forced by a budget deadline to divert a little energy from impeachment to their primary legislative function, have reluctantly negotiated a spending agreement with congressional Republicans and the White House. The bill, which must be passed by the Senate and signed by the president before federal funding runs out this weekend, contains some good news for Americans facing ever-increasing medical expenses. It permanently repeals three looming Obamacare taxes: the medical device tax, the tax on premium (Cadillac) health plans, and the health insurance tax (HIT). All three were unpopular and would have increased health-care costs.

This was the purported rejoinder of Moscow’s chief rabbi, Jacob Maze, after Russian revolutionary Leon Trotsky — the former Lev Bronstein — rebuffed his request for assistance, explaining that he was not a Jew but rather an international man of socialism.

How could Sanders, a progressive Jew — a man who lost family in the Holocaust, no less! — have an anti-Semitism problem?

Chuck Schumer’s moan that “the facts” need to “com[e] out” before a full impeachment trial can occur is an invitation to a motion to dismiss the House’s articles of impeachment, once they arrive. The House had its opportunity to develop the facts. If it didn’t develop facts sufficient to support removing the president, the Senate shouldn’t waste its time on the matter.
Mitch McConnell reportedly is considering a motion to dismiss. According to this report, he hinted that the Senate will move to dismiss the articles of impeachment after opening argument.
McConnell noted that in the 1999 trial of Bill Clinton, Schumer supported a motion to dismiss the case.

Former FBI Director James Comey initially portrayed last week’s damning report on the bureau’s probe of Russiagate as a vindication. This week, Comey admitted that Inspector General Michael Horowitz discovered “real sloppiness,” which is “concerning.”
That characterization does not begin to cover the problems described by Horowitz, which this week prompted a highly unusual public rebuke from the court that reviews secret warrant applications under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA). The FISA court called the FBI’s conduct “antithetical to the heightened duty of candor” that applies in such cases.
