Adam Schiff claimed over the weekend that he shouldn’t be held accountable for his own previous efforts to discount the numerous errors in the FBI’s FISA application on Carter Page. “I’m certainly willing to admit that the Inspector General found serious abuses of FISA that I was unaware of,” Schiff told Fox News’ Chris Wallace. He added, “Had I known of them, Chris, yes, I would have called out the FBI at the same time. But I think it’s only fair to judge what we knew at the time, not what would be revealed two years later.” As Ed wrote yesterday, Schiff’s explanation for his failure to see

I just can't understand how this type of behavior is tolerated by anyone. To have such a man as Schiff telling lies in such a blatant manner makes a mockery of our government and spits in the face of every citizen. The media is just as complicit, but the brazenness is astounding. It is certainly true that Schiff should no longer serve in government in any capacity. He has disgraced himself beyond any measure of redemption. The likes of Washington, Hamiltion, Greene, Knox and the countless others who gave their blood and treasure in the Revolutionary war would be horrified at what has become of their republic.

It's not a "wonder". It a corruption and abdication of the media's primary responsibility to report facts. If the media was reporting truthfully, NONE of the dem presidential candidates would be viable. Hillary and BJ would be in jail. They would have the company of Comey, Brennan, Clapper, Lerner, Holder, Yates, Powers, Rice, Strzok, McCabe, and a host of others. Imagine how much more good for the Country and We the People this President could have accomplished if the media's only interest wasn't a battle to the death with him.

FTA: “Had I known of them, Chris, yes, I would have called out the FBI at the same time. But I think it’s only fair to judge what we knew at the time, not what would be revealed two years later.” Oh, really? That's rich. Why, then, are we having this impeachment drama NOW ---conveniently right before the election--rather than years ago when the incidents allegedly happened? And WHY aren't the Demos judging Trump on what was known at the time, rather than what has been allegedly revealed years later in their so-called inquiry?

Who says they don't see through Schiffty Brit? Media lies to the public, to democrats, and even to each other. He has been serving their agenda and they will suffer fools like Schiff and Nadless gladly as long as they do. What you should be wondering is, why does the public loathe your profession still? While you personally do not suffer fools gladly Brit, you are still part and parcel a part of the media complex. Until you totally jump ship and stand with those you are supposed to be serving, (the readers) you are as big a part of the problem as they are.

“Well, one of the wonders, to me, of modern media is the failure of my colleagues in this business to see through this guy Schiff,” Hume said. First, one cannot see through what one is actively supporting. If anything, they've run repeatedly run cover for him rather than report him. Second, Schiff is an habitual liar. He not only said he believed in Trump's guilt, he had absolute proof that he was going to reveal any day now. He said this repeatedly. "Ample evidence!" "Direct evidence!" "Compelling evidence!" And yet, there wasn't diddly squat.

Hundreds of Obama administration and campaign alumni are turning their backs on Joe Biden to support Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) in the Democratic presidential primary. After rushed and intense proceedings into the Ukraine affair, the House has voted to impeach President Trump. The vote was 230 to 197 for the first article of impeachment charging the president with abuse of power and 229 to 198 for the second article charging him with obstruction of Congress. For Republicans, the important numbers were zero and zero. Not a single Republican lawmaker voted for either article of impeachment. For the GOP, it was important to show that impeachment is an entirely partisan, Democrats-only affair, and that is precisely what happened. In a conversation a few hours before the vote, House Republican Whip Steve Scalise

A funny debate has been roiling the online left: Do young liberals hate Pete Buttigieg too little, or too much? In the past few months, Buttigieg, the presidential candidate and young mayor of tiny South Bend, Ind., has enjoyed a steady, unlikely rise in early state polls. But with success has come a backlash, and then a backlash to the backlash. On paper, Buttigieg ticks a lot of presidential-candidate boxes; you can’t write about Mayor Pete without mentioning he’s a Rhodes scholar, he’s a veteran and he has an articulate, cool-tempered decency reminiscent of Barack Obama. And yet the mayor has drawn the ire of the plugged-in progressive left.

Mindfulness is the key to freedom. Little is entirely new; becoming aware of patterns enables one to discern between the repetitive and the true opportunity of the present moment. Impeachment is one such instance of this general truth. The great responsibility that is required to exercise this great power is the key. Every presidential impeachment has failed; only in the case of Nixon, which didn’t quite make it to impeachment, was there success in forcing a president out of office. In England, too, from whence we took the legal concept of impeachment, the great majority of impeachments failed. In this column,

Through months of impeachment proceedings, Democrats, with the help of a parade of witnesses, have hammered away at President Trump for abusing power. Yet as the House prepares to vote on impeaching him, Trump's approval rating is virtually unchanged from before the process started — neither cratering from the negative news or benefiting from any large-scale backlash against impeachment. This has become a pattern for Trump, whose approval rating (while historically low) is the most stable in history — or at least since Gallup started measuring presidential approval during the Harry Truman presidency. Since taking office, Trump has never polled higher than 46% or lower than 35%,

A Washington Post fact-check released Thursday gave House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) four Pinocchios for a "bogus talking point" about the number of children killed with firearms each year. Pelosi has repeatedly claimed that 47 percent of gun deaths were "teenagers or children," according to the Post. CDC data show the real number is closer to 9 percent, meaning the House speaker exaggerates the true number by more than fivefold. This discrepancy led the Post to assign Pelosi's claim the harshest rating on its fact-checking scale.

Former FBI Director James Comey initially portrayed last week’s damning report on the bureau’s probe of Russiagate as a vindication. This week, Comey admitted that Inspector General Michael Horowitz discovered “real sloppiness,” which is “concerning.” That characterization does not begin to cover the problems described by Horowitz, which this week prompted a highly unusual public rebuke from the court that reviews secret warrant applications under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA). The FISA court called the FBI’s conduct “antithetical to the heightened duty of candor” that applies in such cases.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) launched the debate over the impeachment of President Donald Trump on Wednesday by comparing the Democrats’ struggle to remove him from office to the Battle of the Bulge against Nazi Germany in World War II. Described as “Hitler’s Last Gamble,” the battle began in December 1944, when the Nazis sent 200,000 troops into a surprise attack against American forces. Though the Americans prevailed, 100,000 were killed or wounded over two months of fighting. Pelosi drew an analogy between the impeachment debate and that battle, the largest ever fought by the U.S. Army:
