Al Gore Talks—Donald Trump Vindicated
#TimeForAction was the slogan at this year’s Madrid climate conference that ended Sunday. #TimeForTalk would be more accurate. The talking was endless: more than 70,000 hours were spent failing to define a “market instrument,” something that was meant to have been decided at last year’s conference in Katowice, Poland. Even though the Madrid conference ran over into the weekend, making it the longest ever, the issue will be kicked into next year’s talks, in Glasgow, Scotland. “I am disappointed,” United Nations secretary general António Guterres tweeted.

"The Obama administration has made a second $500 million payment into an international climate change adaptation fund, the State Department announced Tuesday.." The Hill, January 2017.
And there's the problem. Sugar Daddy isn't around anymore and the floozy is broke again.

"what probability they’d ascribe to meeting the 1.5-degree target ... people would conclude that the goal is impossible"
Yes. It has always been impossible. Their own very flawed science has shown that draconian, civilization destroying actions would have a trivial impact on global temperatures so the question has been from the beginning, "What would be the point?".
It gets worse from there. The science of the threat is deeply flawed and even fraudulent. The Alarmists claim that there are replacement energy sources available, they just require a lot of expense and effort to implement. That is a lie. It is physically impossible to replace fossil fuels, even over long periods of time. Until undiscovered science gives us new answers, fossil fuel is the ONLY practical solution to our energy needs.
The conference ended in "failure" because the people leading it are playing a fantasy game. Both the "threat" and their "solution" are not grounded in any type of reality. Plus, as far as they can tell, all their efforts are pointless because they will have no meaningful impact. As the computer discovered in "War Games", "A strange game. The only winning move is NOT TO PLAY."
Trump has the right idea. Let's not play "Climate Game" any more.

It was a great success! Just look at all those bureaucrats and busy bodies that got a two week expenses paid vacation to Spain.

So all these participants flew in on carbon spewing jets to sit around blowing hot air tn order to
control the great unwashed use of carbon based fuel. What damage did they do to the environment and the finances of the countries they represent to accomplish nothing but have a good time? This is a great example of globalists at work. God help us.

Nancy and her cronies in the House got an tax-payer funded vacation in Madrid, and showed their support of the Green Movement.
Which of those two things they considered the most important, I could not say, but I'd lean towards the vacay.

I assume this means that Greta and her Gestapo henchmen will now be hunting for the heads of do-nothing world leaders?

FTA: ''...drastic cuts in emissions require new values, new norms, and new lifestyles, all implying “a huge transformation of the whole of humanity.”
The part that was left out? ''Of course we're referring to the peasants of the world, not WE in the elite class. Jets, mansions and the good life will be OUR future, not 'them.'

The outcome was predetermined. There was no USA to bash. Do the same thing and withdraw the USA and it's money from the United Nations and watch the same thing happen.

set out a trough and they will come. Start holding these conferences at some po-dunk town with just a Denny's and Motel 6 like the rest of us use on vacation, and watch them come to a conclusion fast. The conclusion being they'd rather be someplace else.

Chaos like this is the result of poor leadership so I will propose the obvious answer, give the position of Secretary General to Barry Soetoro. He has wanted the job for a long time and his excellent record of accomplishment as the US President proves that he can do it. He is a big fan of Climate Change and as a sideline he can promote universal homosexual and transexual rights. His worldwide reputation is solid and his ego is equal to the task. A bonus, he already lives in New York.
Now pardon me while I go retch.
