President Donald Trump has paid $2 million in a court-ordered judgment for misusing his charity, New York Attorney General Letitia James said in a statement Tuesday. (Snip) The $2 million will go to eight different charities: Army Emergency Relief, the Children's Aid Society, Citymeals-on-Wheels, Give an Hour, Martha’s Table, the United Negro College Fund, the United Way of National Capital Area, and the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. Trump also agreed to distribute the remaining $1.8 million in the foundation's coffers among those same charities. Each charity will receive a total of $476,140.41. The settlement also called for mandatory training requirements

And the Clinton Foundation proceeds unmolested?
These private charitable trusts smell like an old tuna can. (Michael Moore used his to mask his investment in Dick Cheney's Haliburton).
I am NOT a wealthy man but I had a "financial planner" pitching me at my dining room table to launder "contributions" through a shell, converting them to tax-deductible "charitable donations" and then using the tax free money for clearly personal purposes.
After all, as the head of a "charity" I NEED to fly to Honolulu to check out the living conditions of native Hawaiians.

New York Attorney General Letitia James...Part time democrat, part time Working Family Party (SOCIALIST) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Working_Families_Party ''In 2015, the WFP endorsed Bernie Sanders in his campaign for U.S. President, its first national endorsement.[19] In 2016, after Hillary Clinton became the Democratic nominee, the WFP endorsed her for president.[20]
In 2017, Joshua M. Hall, running in an April 2017 special election for the Connecticut House of Representatives, became the second candidate in the nation to win a state legislative office running solely as a nominee for the Working Families Party.[21]
THAT EXPLAINS EVERYTHING!
In 2019, the WFP endorsed Elizabeth Warren in her campaign for President of the United States.[22] Warren won the endorsement with 60.91% of the vote, compared with 35.82% for runner-up Bernie Sanders.[23] The WFP received some criticism for not releasing the individual vote tallies between the party leadership and membership base, each of which accounts for 50% of the vote.[24] In the 2016 primary the WFP had endorsed Sanders, one of Warren's opponents in the 2020 primary.

I still say it's criminal to rule that Trump was supposed to give more money to veteran causes and then dictate that money goes to the Children's Aid Society, Citymeals-on-Wheels, Give an Hour, Martha’s Table, the United Negro College Fund, etc.
But the judge was probably scoring political points with those people using Trump's money so...

Something you won't read in the current news stories: Trump raised 19 million $ and gave almost all of it away to vet organizations. This big kerfuffle is about 2.4 or so million dollars raised in early 2016 at an event for vets by CANDIDATE Trump. The funds were distributed within a month by family members (one way to keep the administrative costs down) who were also working on his campaign. So what was the problem? Apparently THIS IS A VIOLATION OF RULES ON CAMPAIGNING. It made Trump look good. There was no 'plausible deniability' because there was no 'foundation' of hired, separate, independent dweebs to handle the funds. Also, Trump claimed to raise $6 million... but major contributors dropped out before making good... probably because Donk complainers appeared almost immediately. Summary: He raised the money. Gave it to vet orgs. But it made him look good and that can't be allowed. It's considered a campaign donation... goodwill like that. And, as soon as that is mentioned, once, on page 16 of section C, the press never has to go into details again but will just tell you he was found to have done something wrong and admitted to it.

President Trump has turned a lemon into lemonade. Obvious by judge's statement that this was yet another political attack. Wise list on charity selections. Well done, Mr. President.
