We can all agree that Hollywood and the music industry is notoriously left-wing. It’s probably safe to assume if you don’t know for sure that they are a bleeding heart liberal. For the most part, who cares? You can appreciate an actor or an artist’s talent without politics getting in the way. But, lately, celebrities are so obsessed with politics, particularly Trump hatred, that they won’t shut up about it.

No. 1 should be the foul-mouthed Robert de Niro. Can't watch him in anything anymore.

I'm proud to say the last movie I actually paid for at the theater was ''American Sniper.'' And that was the first time I paid for a movie in many, many years. To hell with those ego driven idiots.

Like most of you, I don't care about the Trump hating usual suspects. I do, however, enjoy finding and hearing from the celebrity Trump supporters. Those include (among others) James Woods, Jon Voight, Kid Rock, Adam Baldwin, Scott Baio, Kirstie Alley, Gene Simmons, etc.

#2, speaking of Robert DeNiro, I just watched The Irishman, Martin Scorsese’s latest mob movie. I thought it was pretty good, and all the actors are good, with the exception of DeNiro. He has received rave reviews for his performance, but I was embarrassed for him. He tries playing a 30-50 yr old man, but I believe he is pushing 80. His hair is dyed and it looks like they plastered his face with that temporary tightening cream, but he still has the voice, carriage and energy of an old man. What’s worse is that Joe Pesci’s character keeps calling him “kid.” There are no surprises in his characterization of the guy who claims to have killed Jimmy Hoffa. It’s the same old DeNiro tough guy performance. Sorry, I know this is off-topic, but I had DeNiro on the brain.

All of this bellowing and howling makes me wish that I had done the same during the Obama years. There was so much more to complain about that was actually true. We deplorables were labeled racists anyway, we should have heaped the vocal criticism on the flawed human beings that infested the White House but we let patience, politeness and class get in the way.

Sigh! I miss the old time actors like John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart and Charleston Heston. Earlier actresses were also Republican like Ann Blyth and Jeanne Crain. Today's Hollywood personages are too full of themselves.

Haven't seen the film, #5, but your description is hilarious!
We, here, don't care about these celebrity haters, but many do, those who read "people" magazine, and hang on every little morsel of gossip. Somehow they seem to think, or rather, feel, that the actors have some affection for them. They don't, except for a few who appreciate their fans, most don't care

Of course all the obsessed are awful but Reiner is the worst. The most sanctimonious and vicious and probably in position to cause the most harm. He's a terrible person and calling him "Meathead" is WAY kinder than he deserves, more like a world class bastid. I hate him.

I rarely, rarely, go to movies anymore. Cancelled Netflix, almost never watch Amazon Prime streaming, and only turn on network television for football games (those teams who don't kneel) and Fox news. So these 'stars' aren't getting my money, and I don't care what they think, and I don't even know who half of them are. So irrelevant to normal people. They tweet to impress their own inner bubble of friends. Time to pull the plug on this cultural experiment. We don't need you anymore.
