A bakery owner in Nebraska is being praised for tackling and holding down a 90-pound teenager who allegedly stole a tip jar containing $15 – but the boy’s mother wants the woman criminally charged for going “way above the law,” according to a report.
The 14-year-old boy and a friend were at Farine + Four bakery in Omaha on Thursday when owner Ellie Pegler sprang into action during the alleged theft, the Omaha World-Herald reports.
Pegler later posted photos of the incident on her now-deleted Instagram page, complete with images of her bloodied knuckles and a warning for other would-be thieves.
“I’m tired of teenagers stealing our tip jar,”

The New York Post just violated progressive journalism standards by identifying the race of the miserable thug wannabe and his screeching mama.

It appears that this is an opportunity to turn a $15 tip jar into a Million $ settlement.

Noticed how the mother says bakery owner goes above the law but, doesn't worry about her son not following the law.

Someone needs to beat the crap out of the mother for raising another parasite on society.

Children have to be taught, at a young age, to control their impulses.
In certain sub-cultures, impulse control is not taught very well, if at all.

OK, one more time. Blacks are their own worst enemy. The culture of the Black Community is their biggest threat. And we wonder why they shot each other over the smallest perceived slight. They are the problem and only they can solve it. A mother defending her "baby" when he was the thief is not a good sign but certainly not surprising.

Good for the Bakery Owner! As for the Police saying that Civilians should not go after guys like him , but let the Police handle it. HA! That teen would have been long gone way before the police got there! It's a grab and dash plan they execute. So I'm thinking that kid is really lucky the Owner didn't have a Gun! As for the mother saying her son wouldn't have been roughed up like that if he had been White....HA! Maybe he wouldn't have been roughed up if SHE had raised him NOT to Steal from others!

Not a word from Mom about the fact that her son is a thief. Business owners have to protect themselves from the offspring of parents like this.

The Dindu's mother said the shop owner went "way beyond the law". I wonder what law school she attended to arrive at that conclusion.

Good on her. I think the 20min wait for the cops (Really? Is Omaha that big?) negates the Police telling us to let them handle it. It won't be.

Feral Urban Dwellers teach their spawn to walk around tables and stealing the tips. This is a known fact and one that I'm sure applies here too. Hopefully, the police will press charges on her too.

#19 is why I no longer leave cash tips on restaurant tables. I actually witnessed a group of teenagers strolling around and stealing the tips at a restaurant I was eating in. I alerted the manager and the teens were "relocated" by the police AFTER returning the tips. I now explain this to my servers as I either hand them the tip directly or let them know that I'm leaving it on my credit card. If they have given me good service, I feel compelled to make sure that they actually receive what I have left for them.

Something doesn't smell right.
The mother didn't do nuffin until the boy complained he was put in a choke hold for stealing money. Baby Momma was expecting a settlement.
I'd be dog-damned if I'd let some punk walk away with my money while I waited for the Popo.

Not the worst part of Omaha as far as crime is concerned. But still further east than I'd feel particularly at-ease.
It sounds like the boy could use some responsible parenting. A year at Boy's Town might do him some good.

I clicked the link in the NYPost article to the Omaha paper's site. There you can read more from the mother who doesn't condone stealing but …, and read comments from a politician named Mark Vondraske who defends the kid and is using this to promote his campaign.

To add to #24 on Mark Vondrasek. He is a self-described "queer socialist", the perfect defender of a low life teenage petty thief.

It used to be that a little thief like this would get two beatings for this crime. First a good beating from the baker, and then a second good beating from his father when the news reached home.
Of course now, Dominique thinks that just catching and restraining the little thief is too much. Let me guess what ethnicity this little thug is....too easy.
She probably taught the thief to steal.

If the mama doesn't like it, she can take the place of the son she trained and go to prison herself!

Just imagine it the other way around... oh, sure, she would have given the tip jar!!! NOT!!!!!!! The boy complained, what a piece of trash. He should have had his mouth bloodied, couple of blue eyes and gotten his crotch slammed. But, no momma right to the rescue. She smells yet another rip off if she can get away with it. What a piece of garbage this mother is!

But I already knew before I read the first word.

Mom, he is your responsibility and you are the problem.
Seems like blacks are never held to the same standards as whites-who are afraid of the law. They always pull the racist card.

Good job, baker!! And now his whining mama thinks he should have been just let go and cussed at on his way out the door?? THAT'S her solution to her son's theft of a tip jar?? How many times has he done this before??
