A bakery owner in Nebraska is being praised for tackling and holding down a 90-pound teenager who allegedly stole a tip jar containing $15 – but the boy’s mother wants the woman criminally charged for going “way above the law,” according to a report. The 14-year-old boy and a friend were at Farine + Four bakery in Omaha on Thursday when owner Ellie Pegler sprang into action during the alleged theft, the Omaha World-Herald reports. Pegler later posted photos of the incident on her now-deleted Instagram page, complete with images of her bloodied knuckles and a warning for other would-be thieves. “I’m tired of teenagers stealing our tip jar,”

Comments:

Good job, baker!! And now his whining mama thinks he should have been just let go and cussed at on his way out the door?? THAT'S her solution to her son's theft of a tip jar?? How many times has he done this before??

It appears that this is an opportunity to turn a $15 tip jar into a Million $ settlement.

Yeah... well, it WASN'T a white kid. And, despite there being about 6 times more white kids than black kids... seems odd that it is usually is NOT a white kid. Before blacks get to make claims of being singled out for crimes they need to stop committing crimes at a higher rate per capita than whites. For now, disproportionate actions means disproportionate responses.

Children have to be taught, at a young age, to control their impulses. In certain sub-cultures, impulse control is not taught very well, if at all.

6, I would make the argument that genetics is at work here as well. The skills required for surviving in sub-Saharan Africa and other equatorial regions is very different than the skills developed for surviving in more seasonally diverse regions such as Asia and Europe.

OK, one more time. Blacks are their own worst enemy. The culture of the Black Community is their biggest threat. And we wonder why they shot each other over the smallest perceived slight. They are the problem and only they can solve it. A mother defending her "baby" when he was the thief is not a good sign but certainly not surprising.

Good for the Bakery Owner! As for the Police saying that Civilians should not go after guys like him , but let the Police handle it. HA! That teen would have been long gone way before the police got there! It's a grab and dash plan they execute. So I'm thinking that kid is really lucky the Owner didn't have a Gun! As for the mother saying her son wouldn't have been roughed up like that if he had been White....HA! Maybe he wouldn't have been roughed up if SHE had raised him NOT to Steal from others!

I pulled a stunt like this as a teen only it was shoplifting , I spent the next thirty six hours in the juvenile shelter. That juvenile shelter was no fun ,more like under eighteen prison . I found out later the police had called my parents and dad said " keep him for awhile". A lesson well learned and some tough love , later years my dad got a chuckle when I told him about the lousy food.

#19 is why I no longer leave cash tips on restaurant tables. I actually witnessed a group of teenagers strolling around and stealing the tips at a restaurant I was eating in. I alerted the manager and the teens were "relocated" by the police AFTER returning the tips. I now explain this to my servers as I either hand them the tip directly or let them know that I'm leaving it on my credit card. If they have given me good service, I feel compelled to make sure that they actually receive what I have left for them.

It used to be that a little thief like this would get two beatings for this crime. First a good beating from the baker, and then a second good beating from his father when the news reached home. Of course now, Dominique thinks that just catching and restraining the little thief is too much. Let me guess what ethnicity this little thug is....too easy. She probably taught the thief to steal.

Democratic gaffe machine Joe Biden continued his role as the unofficial chair of the Trump reelection campaign by making another epic blunder that underscores that someone should put a fork in him. Because he’s done. This time, Biden — who never met Kim Jong Un — claimed he “spent a lot of time” with the leader of North Korea. Biden spouted the boldfaced lie during a campaign stop in Iowa on Saturday (Nov. 30). Joe bragged to a tiny roomful of supporters that authoritarian leaders like Kim Jong Un will never fool him because he knows who they are at their core, which is brutal dictators.

The Left is petrified about the near-term prospect that Senate Republicans would quickly replace Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg should her seat became vacant in 2020 following her string of health problems. Specifically, Democrats are terrified that Republicans will fill the Supreme Court with a conservative judge during an election year, which is a rare occurrence. Leftist Twitter users fumed that they have no doubt that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell would replace Ginsburg in a second if her seat opened up. Remember a few years ago when the United States was heavily dependent on foreign oil and experts were telling us we'd be a slave to OPEC forever? I remember it well. We fought wars for oil, undermined unfriendly governments for oil, but in the end, we were at the mercy of others for our oil supply. Our economy was held hostage by OPEC, as even a small change in the price of oil would send markets reeling and slow economic growth. But in September, that all pretty much ended. For the first time since records were kept beginning in 1949, the United States became a net exporter of oil.

Barack Obama’s legacy is shot, being destroyed by President Trump and the radical left who now view him (laughably) as a conservative. Joe Biden doesn’t know where he is half the time, the other half has his campaign staff wishing he were somewhere else. Paul Ryan was a feckless Speaker of the House who cut bait and ran once he was free to push all the things he’d sworn for years were his deeply held beliefs.
