RUSH: I’m gonna pat myself on the back. I rarely do this. Other people do. I rarely do it. You know what I’ve been striving to do? I spent a lot of time yesterday trying to put all this Ukraine stuff in the context of Donald Trump’s understanding of it and his relationship to it. I did it throughout the program yesterday and one time I did it in an intense way. (Snip) Even Devin Nunes yesterday in his questioning attempted to explain the context, which makes everything Trump did totally common-sensical.

Comments:

Today’s transcript, as well as yesterday’s transcript, of the background and rationale of President Trump’s wanting Ukraine President Zelensky to exhibit the seriousness of his intent to deal with the corruption in Ukraine, as an ally, before sending U.S. aid makes perfect sense. Further, President Trump’s trust in Rudy Giuliani makes perfect sense because the previous administration’s state department apparatus spent years trying to undermine his election and persists in trying to get the 2016 election results overturned. (A link to yesterday’s transcript is embedded in today’s transcript.)

My rabid demonrat sister has ranted for years about giving away foreign aid at the expense of US citizens. I wonder what she thinks now. I'll bet anything she now thinks it's okay and the amount should be upped. After all, the demonrats are against PT's policy of turning the spigot off. They like wasting money.

Interesting how Rush’s take on this mirrors most Americans’ thoughts about giving aid willy-nilly to foreign countries. Trump does have his finger on the pulse of traditional Americans of both parties. Of course, the President’s strategy to make sure that the new Ukrainian President is committed to his campaign promises makes perfect sense to us. However, the rabid democrats know if American taxpayer money is not flowing out to these foreign countries, they cannot siphon off their cut. Follow the money to ascertain the motives of the democrat party. Corruption is their favorite vehicle they use to enrich themselves at taxpayer expense. Anything illegal in this government and the democrats are into it up to their necks. The President knows this and is trying to stop it and that is why the left hates him so strenuously. He has come to confront their abject corruption and theft of our wealth.

RUSH: So, we had a bit of a bombshell last night that I need to put in perspective for you. Mr. Horowitz, the inspector general, reported that he has found evidence that an FBI lawyer manipulated a key investigative document related to the FBI’s secretive surveillance of a former Trump campaign adviser--Carter Page. (Snip) Now, why? I have to tell you, folks, I have to be very, very honest about something. When I saw yesterday that the inspector general report was gonna be released on December 9th, I said, why the hell did they announce that? What in the world is there to gain by announcing that?

A highly anticipated Justice Department inspector general report meant to 'investigate the investigators' behind the lengthy Russia probe will not conclude political bias drove decisions made by former FBI Director James Comey and former FBI lawyer Peter Strzok. But IG Michael Horowitz has determined that some FBI officials were sloppy and unprofessional, The New York Times reported on Friday, giving President Donald Trump a hook to continue claiming ideologically slanted 'deep state' enemies twisted the law to secure wiretap orders against his onetime campaign adviser Carter Page.

Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz has found evidence that an FBI lawyer manipulated a key investigative document related to the FBI's secretive surveillance of a former Trump campaign adviser--enough to change the substantive meaning of the document, according to multiple reports. The show-stopping development comes as Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., told Fox News that Horowitz's comprehensive report on allegations of Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant abuse against former Trump campaign aide Carter Page will be released on Dec. 9. "That's locked," Graham said.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., told Fox News Wednesday that Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz's report on allegations of Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant abuse during the 2016 election will be released on Dec. 9. During an appearance on "Hannity" Wednesday, host Sean Hannity noted Horowitz will be coming before Graham's committee on Dec. 11 to testify on the matter and went on to ask Graham not to allow a Friday night document "dump" that could muffle the coverage of the news. (Snip) "It'll be December 9th--you'll get the report," the South Carolina lawmaker said.

The testimony of National Security Council official Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman grew tense Tuesday under questioning from Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif. -- as the impeachment hearing witness eventually scolded the top intelligence committee Republican for not addressing him by his military title. (Snip) "Mr. Vindman, you testified in your deposition that you did not know the whistleblower," Nunes stated. "Ranking member, it's Lieutenant Colonel Vindman, please," the witness responded. Nunes corrected himself and repeated the statement, which followed questions regarding who Vindman had spoken with about Trump's phone call.

If you are paying attention to the Washington circus that is the impeachment inquiry into President Trump's handling of the much maligned Ukraine call, this is what real collusion looks like: a media largely committed to advancing the goal of Democrats to severely damage or remove him from office, a series of at first private testimonies by people who appear to have similar motives and connections to Democrats and/or anti-Trump forces, and now a new book by "Anonymous," which claims the president has a bad attitude and is difficult to work with. Where to start? "Anonymous" is a self-admitted coward.

The Democratic establishment despises the insurgent candidacy of Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii. From her decision to buck party orthodoxy and endorse Sen. Bernie Sanders in 2016 over Democratic National Committee favorite Hillary Clinton, to her constant criticisms of Democratic foreign policy mistakes, Gabbard has made herself no friends with the party elite. She's perfectly fine with that if it's required to put the people first. Still, this means establishment Democrats and their allies regularly smear and attack the Democratic congresswoman. But, as if we need more proof of how deranged the establishment’s hatred for Gabbard has become, the New York Times style section is now criticizing her… wardrobe?

Lindsey Graham (R-SC) for launching an investigation into his activities with Ukraine while in the Obama White House, stating the Republican will “regret” the move his “whole life.” On Thursday, Graham sent a letter to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo requesting documents to aid in determining whether Biden pushed for the firing of Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin to squash a sweeping probe into Burisma Holdings, the Ukrainian energy giant where his son, Hunter Biden, served as a board member. The younger Biden was compensated generously, making up to $83,000 a month for several years while on the Burisma’s board.

On Tuesday, November 19th, CNN anchor Don Lemon made a mind-boggling statement. He said, of the ongoing impeachment hearings, “I think on this one, the Republicans are on the wrong side of history, and they are the most hypocritical. I’m not a partisan. I know people think that I’m some liberal Democrat. I’m not.” He went on to say, “I don’t think the Republicans are serving themselves well.” Talk about hypocrisy! If Lemon isn’t “partisan,” neither were Hitler or Stalin. Lemon is to hypocrisy as Macy’s is to Thanksgiving Day parades. And it is the Democrats who are demonstrably damaging themselves with this carefully—if bizarrely-- orchestrated farce.
