Some of Barack Obama's departing White House aides left biting notes for their successors in the Trump administration including messages that read 'You will fail,' according to the president's press secretary. Stephanie Grisham told a Virginia radio host at the White House on Tuesday about finding the notes, and office cabinets brimming with Obama-authored books. 'We came into the White House—I'll tell you something, every office was filled with Obama books. And we had notes left behind that said "You will fail," "You aren't going to make it."

Comments:

They didn't dare do over $100,000 in damage like the Clinton crowd did to the White House after Bush was elected. Even BO's crowd was smart enough to know that Trump wouldn't hush it up like GWB did.

Well of course those Obama books were piled in there! Does anyone actually believe people buy these books? They languish on the $1 table at Sam's Club and other discount outlets. The $1mil "advance" is just a way for "Big-Publisher" to bribe politicians for special favors.

This Obama Administration caper of leaving disparaging notes and Obama books throughout the White House for the incoming Trump Administration was an initial step in the Democrat “Resistance” against President Trump and his Administration, that continues up to today with the Democrat created impeachment inquisition. That Democrat “Resistance” is very bad for Democracy and the USA for the disruption that it has caused to federal government operations, and the very bad impressions that it gives to foreign governments around the world.

If the former occupant-in-chief's staff could have, they'd have lined the hallways and steps around the White House and shot the bird at Trump on his way in. I'm not surprised they left "mementos." And I agree with poster #5. They couldn't have unloaded all those books with a dump truck and a landfill. As for Susan Rice saying Stephanie Grisham is lying...well...I have little confidence in the accuracy of her truth meter, either.

We're in an era where its "video evidence or it didnt happen." If this embarrassing lack of professionalism and decency DID occur, it would have been easy and necessary to document it in real time then broadcast it to the world. Mike Bloomberg is considering making Hillary Clinton his running mate, a source close to his campaign has told Drudge Report. Polling found the Bloomberg-Clinton combination would be a formidable force to take on Trump in the race for the White House, the source said. Former New York City Mayor and Democratic candidate Bloomberg is said to be considering even changing his official residence from New York to Colorado or Florida - where he also has homes - because the electoral college makes it difficult for US president and vice-president to reside in the same state.

Brexit goes through today, and Britain is finally independent, free from the clutches of the European Union. It's a great event regardless of how it happens, but in this case, it was cool beyond description. It all ended with a pretty amazing flourish, one that told us a lot about both the European Commission and newly sovereign Britain itself. Chief Brexiteer Nigel Farage made his last speech before the European Commission, which was a great scolding and call to shut down the whole operation altogether, which was subversive enough. But he drove it even further.

What an explosive week this has been in the aftermath of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s bombshell announcement that they wish to ‘step back’ as senior royals. I share much of the anger, frustration and sorrow of the British public at their decision, which has been much-discussed over the past few days.  But there is one aspect of this drama that concerns and saddens me: the behaviour of Prince Harry, and what appears to be him turning his back on the Royal Family.  This is so out of character, and — as his biographer who knows him better than many — I fear something is seriously amiss.

Given today’s downward cultural spiral, it’s disturbing but not surprising that the makers of a thoughtful new documentary about Jordan Peterson are having a hard time finding somewhere to show their film. Many mainstream and independent cinemas have refused to screen it because they’re “fearful of controversy” or “morally concerned.” One theater in Toronto cancelled a week-long showing after some of the staff “took issue with it.” A theater in Brooklyn cancelled a second screening, despite the fact that the first sold out and received good reviews, “because some staff were offended . . . and felt uncomfortable.”

Now that as many as six serious Democratic candidates remain in the race, pundits increasingly believe the party is headed for a brokered convention. Hold on to your hats if that happens, because it’s even more complicated than it sounds. Presidential nominating conventions used to be “brokered” because the delegates were largely appointed by — and loyal to — political bosses. Delegates voted on multiple ballots as rivals vied for the bosses’ favor, making the quadrennial events the political equivalent of reality television. You could never be sure which governor or senator would be voted off the island and which would become the ultimate survivor.
