'Someone did something nice and you

Trump-supporting neighbors to Hezbollah and

Megyn Kelly is leading criticism of a Los Angeles Times columnist who compared her neighbors to Nazi sympathizers and Hezbollah because they backed Donald Trump. The Brooklyn-based author, Virginia Heffernan, wrote in Friday's paper that the 'Trumpites' next door to their 'pandemic getaway' in upstate New York had plowed her drive after a snow storm. Of course, on some level, I realize I owe them thanks — and, man, it really looks like the guy back-dragged the driveway like a pro — but how much thanks?' she wrote.

I'm wtih Greg Guttfield - I want to hear from the neighbors.

Megyn Kelly had the world on a string. Tough, fearless, and beautiful. But it all went to her head and she turned herself into a Disney villain. It's too late for her to turn it around, but she's obviously trying very hard to do so. Too late...just as it is for her former network.

Jesus Christ, it must suck to be so full of bile that you cannot simply thank someone for showing you a kindness. Make them a lasagna casserole, some homemade bread and chocolate chip cookies. Walk it over to them and say thank you and that you appreciated their kindness. This is not a trick question. Are you so far removed from reality that it is easier to be a mentally ill old b**** than a member of the human race? Seriously, you need professional help.

From the NY post version: "She added, “This is also kind of weird. Back in the city, people don’t sweep other people’s walkways for nothing.” Which is why people from Brooklyn and elsewhere in the Rotten Apple (with exceptions, of course) should remain in the city, among their own kind, and stay away from upstate NY and other places where people do not wear rudeness and brash hostility as a badge of honor. Related article I wound up not posting from a few days ago, "Obnoxious New Yorkers who fled to suburbs are driving neighbors nuts": https://nypost.com/2021/02/04/obnoxious-new-yorkers-who-fled-to-the-suburbs-are-driving-their-neighbors-nuts/

At the risk of sounding superficial, I’ll note that Heffernan was once a reasonably attractive woman. She got fat and lost her looks. Sounds as though she’s not handling that change very well...

Leftists live on their hatred of others, based on their delusional ideas of their own superiority. They imagine that they are smarter, and in their twisted minds 'more moral' than those who disagree with them. Of course, their evil, twisted Marxist fun-house 'morality mirror' shows them that murdering 60 million babies is morally superior to letting them live, and that taking away Constitutional freedoms is morally superior to letting "wrong headed" speech be permitted. Of course, they imagine that any views that disagree with them are "wrong headed" because they are SO smart, and they have the "right" answers....totally circular thinking. And the ugly moron in the press non-briefings is 'circling back' because of her circular, irrational 'thinking'. Hateful, sour, vicious, and pitiful people - but never forget that they are dangerous, perfectly comfortable with murdering millions of "wrong thinkers". Over 150 million human beings were murdered at the hands of various socialists and Marxists for political reasons in the last century. Let's not let them get started here.

Funny, I don’t remember this part of the parable from Luke’s account: “And the man who had been traveling from Jerusalem to Jericho was repulsed to know that a Samaritan rescued him. He questioned whether he could or should express gratitude until the Samaritan came to agreement with him and believed what the man, the priest and the Levite believed.”

This is why I like Texas. 1. No snow but after a hurricane check out what your neighbors are up to. Getting together to fix stuff. Not just their own but the neighborhood. 2. Even in a city the size of Houston most peoples' first reaction upon meeting a stranger is a big smile. 3 We've got a lot of Trumpites.

#1, you are correct. Megyn's move to NBC was the dumbest career decision ever--or close to it. She became hated by both the left (who ultimately canceled her) and the right. Also dumb was her over-aggressive questioning of Trump at the Republican debate. It backfired on her, big time. There is no place for Megyn now, except on her YouTube channel.

Out here in the country we always help our neighbors without looking at their voting record. Those with tractors plow driveways and even the roads near the houses. Those with just shovels or brooms do walks, especially those of the elderly and infirm. The young guys with 4 wheel drives will load up the truck with shovels, ropes, and rednecks and actually LOOK for people stranded to help. Then, as a little icing on the cake, we dont talk bad about each other.

This doesn’t surprise me at all. I used to have an annual embroidery teaching gig with a shop in California which had been going on for several years. I'm baffled by the vile response to someone plowing your driveway. It just points to this person having some form of mental illness. I shoveled my neighbor's driveway because she is a nurse and needed to go to work that night, and she thanked me later on for doing it. I always thought this is what neighbors do for each other now and again. Many younger folks seemed shocked when a good deed is done just to do a good deed for someone. I guess I'm just old fashioned sometimes.

House Republicans planted themselves firmly in the camp of Donald Trump on Wednesday when they removed Rep. Liz Cheney from their leadership team after her criticism of the former president. In a closed-door meeting in the basement of the Capitol, Republicans voted to oust Cheney after she repeatedly called out Trump's false claims he won the election and criticized his role in the January 6 insurrection. After a voice vote, Cheney said: ‘I will do everything I can to ensure that the former president never again, is anywhere near the Oval Office.’ Cheney had addressed Republicans in the room before the vote.

But tiny sample sizes of spectacular crimes allow polemicists to hype whichever claims they want. What we need are large amounts of data. For example, everyone finally now admits what I’ve been saying for months: that murders went up a record-breaking percentage in 2020. But most still don’t want to admit it had anything to do with Black Lives Matter.

An elite private school in Ohio refuses to share copies of its race-based curriculum with parents, even as students were subjected to a“civil disobedience” walkout orchestrated by the school’s top leadership. For the price of $30,000 per year, students at Columbus Academy (CA) are being taught left-wing political opinions as fact, according to parents at the school. The school — like other elite institutions across the nation — has allegedly opted to teach “anti-racism” and “critical race theory” in the classroom.

It is one of the ironies of the trial of President Trump on a charge of incitement of insurrection that the remarks most likely to be studied by historians is the speech delivered after the verdict — not guilty — was brought in. It was after the Senate ordered the outcome be sent for safekeeping with the Secretary of State, and the court of impeachment was adjourned, that Senator Mitch McConnell unloaded. His speech is likely to go down as one of the most remarkable ever delivered in the Senate.

The Wyoming Republican Party voted overwhelmingly Saturday to censure U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney for voting to impeach President Donald Trump for his role in the January 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol. Only eight of the 74-member state GOP's central committee stood to oppose censure in a vote that didn't proceed to a formal count. The censure document accused Cheney of voting to impeach even though the U.S. House didn't offer Trump 'formal hearing or due process.'
