BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — In a rare public appearance to pick up an award, the woman who accused U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault says she had a responsibility to come forward, NBC News reports. Christine Blasey Ford, a psychology professor at Palo Alto University in California, spoke Sunday after she accepted the Rodger Baldwin Courage Award from the ACLU of Southern California in Beverly Hills. She said: “When I came forward last September, I did not feel courageous. I was simply doing my duty as a citizen.

Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee released the long-awaited transcript from senior National Security Council official Tim Morrison on Saturday, and immediately distorted it for the benefit of the anti-Trump media. It was a typical example of how Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and his staff have tried to skew the fact-finding process in an effort to inflate public support for impeachment, believing few will read the lengthy transcripts for themselves. First, the committee withheld the transcript since October 31, only releasing it after the first public hearings began last week.

Perhaps you saw this before the tweeter took it down: a badly photoshopped image purporting to be U.S. Representative Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) with a nasty look on her face, flipping the bird while former Ambassador Marie Yovanovich testified in the House impeachment proceedings on Friday. (Tweet) O’Malley apologized later, after video showed that the GOP representative from upstate New York did no such thing, and after others noted that the pixelation was fuzzy, the lighting was wrong for an actual image capture, and Stefanik wasn’t, in fact, wearing nail polish that day. Nonetheless, O’Malley had spent some time insisting that he

Max Boot recently wrote that my arguments against the impeachment inquiry are prima facie proof of why the Democrats should, in fact, impeach Trump: “If even the great historian Victor Davis Hanson can’t make a single convincing argument against impeachment, I am forced to conclude that no such argument exists.” In fact, I made 10 such arguments, all of which Boot attempted, but has failed, to refute. In this context, Boot’s intellectual erosion as a historian and analyst is a valuable warning of stage-four Trump Derangement Syndrome. I offer that diagnosis with regret given I once knew and liked Boot. But his

And I think it’s important for us not to lose sight of that. There are a lot of persuadable voters and there are a lot of Democrats out there who just want to see things make sense. They just don’t want to see crazy stuff.

For the past several years, most of us who have been following the seditious Deep State activities against President Trump and many of his close associates have been eagerly awaiting a reckoning. A presidential campaign, then administration, was spied upon by the previous administration, using fabricated domestic and foreign intelligence, with the willing assistance of the mainstream media. President Trump has been accused of being a Russian agent, a Putin stooge, and a traitor by high level executives of ex-President Obama’s justice and intelligence agencies. A two-year $30 million special counsel investigation, that we were told would unearth “mountains of evidence” of Trump-Russia

This current impeachment theater is the equivalent of Caddyshack II, a sequel so dreadful that nobody is bothering to tune in. Even my liberal colleagues who despise President Donald Trump can’t be bothered watch. It’s as if everyone not named Chris Wallace knows this is a complete sham. The stock market yawned as it rocketed upwards. What we have is a parade of bureaucratic power players preening before friendly Democrats to complain that nobody listens to their sage counsel and that the president has the audacity to think he decides foreign policy. The biggest villain in this ill-begotten administrative coup sequel is Joe Biden,

Tyrant-in-chief Adam Schiff has been thrilling the Left with his anti-constitutional, Kafkaesque show trial, leaking and tweaking snippets of his irrelevant not-witnesses' testimony in order to bend public opinion to his malevolent anti-Trump obsession. We can all suss out the Schiff/Pelosi agenda: They hope to prevent Trump's re-election by convincing the American people that he is somehow tainted by a fog of nefarious activities both before and after the 2016 election. Of the 64 percent of independents who have paid some attention to the hearings, only 19 percent actually watched them. Seventeen percent said they watched or listened to news summaries, and 30 percent said they read or listened to news summaries. While the poll shows that most independents are paying attention, it also shows that they are not as engaged as other demographics.

How many serial killers are there? Since 1900, there have been 3,000 identified American serial killers who've collectively killed nearly 10,000 people, says Dr. Michael Aamodt, who oversees the Radford University/Florida Gulf Coast University Serial Killer Database. The FBI defines a serial killer as someone who kills two or more people in separate events. About 32 percent of these killers, Aamodt says, did so for enjoyment (thrills, lust, and power); 30 percent for financial reward; 18 percent in anger; 6.3 percent to advance a criminal enterprise; and fewer than 1 percent because a cult put them up to it. Their favorite murder weapon was a gun (42 percent), although 6 percent

A Massachusetts judge, indicted for allegedly helping sneak an illegal alien out of a courtroom in order to avoid an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent, is opting to fight the charges instead of accepting a plea deal. Federal prosecutors charged Shelley Joseph, a Newton District Court judge, with obstruction of justice in April for allegedly helping an illegal alien sneak through the backdoor of a courthouse, allowing him to evade an ICE officer who was waiting to apprehend him. Instead of taking a plea deal that would allow her to avoid prosecution, Joseph is preparing to go to trial.

Anyone following the increasingly desperate Democratic impeachment effort will by now be aware that they have exchanged the term “quid pro quo” for “bribery” and “extortion.” They rebranded President Trump’s alleged offenses, according to a Washington Post report, after the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee conducted a number of focus groups to test their messaging. The use of a marketing tool for something so serious confirms that, for the Democrats, impeachment is just another election strategy they hope will get traction if they dumb down the narrative. This betrays breathtaking contempt for the nation’s institutions as well as the voters.

California Democrats have been cutting six-figure checks to promote the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPV) in Colorado ahead of a referendum vote in the state next November. The NPV would change how the Electoral College operates without amending the Constitution. It pledges a state's Electoral College votes to the candidate receiving the most votes nationwide in a presidential election. The Colorado political committee Yes on National Popular Vote has collected just under $750,000 since its creation in late July. Over 98 percent of that money is from California donors, most of which is courtesy of a $500,000 donation from Stephen Silberstein, a board member of the National Popular Vote

They’re doing that right now to the president’s decision to grant clemency to three military men — two Army officers, one of whom was a special forces major, and one Navy chief petty officer who was a SEAL operator. The “experts” are whining that Trump’s intervention in these cases interferes with the military justice system under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) as well as military order and discipline. And when Vice President Joe Biden offered even a bland message of support for Israel that would have been unremarkable a few years ago, he got massive pushback from the left on Twitter. Last week, President Trump granted full pardons for Army First Lt. Clint Lorance and Army Maj. Mathew Golsteyn, who’d been accused of war crimes. Lorance had served six years of a 19-year sentence, and Golsteyn was facing trial for killing an alleged Taliban bombmaker. Navy SEAL Edward R. Gallagher, who was found not guilty of war crimes, but still had his rank reduced, was granted clemency and restoration of rank. Lawmakers had been pushing for pardons for Lorance and Golsteyn because they’d taken actions to defend themselves on the battlefield and were charged with war crimes for it. Yet, when President Trump pardoned them, it immediately sparked controversy and outrage.
