Conservative radio icon Michael Savage expressed doubt about the future of the United States in an interview with Breitbart News, warning that a second term for President Donald Trump would be the “last gasp” of the country. “No, I’m pessimistic,” Savage, host of nationally-syndicated broadcast The Savage Nation and The Savage Nation Podcast, said when asked if he is hopeful for the country’s future. “I think Donald Trump, even if he wins a second term, it is the last gasp of America as we know it. I think we’re going to enter years and years, if not decades of darkness.” Savage pointed to the continuous flow of illegal immigration from

I'm still optimistic. There are going to be a few indictments coming. At last count, there are OVER 135k sealed indictments coming our way. Major political leaders will fall. And a whole bunch of pre-major and minor ones too. Things are changing on the World level. The new world order will be decimated. Yes, I believe it is a battle against Good and Evil. But I'm qomforted to what is about to be. https://qmap.pub/

Savage has built a career spreading doom and gloom. Take anything he says with a grain of salt.

Sadly, I think Savage is correct and not only because of the influx of illegal immigrants. Our very own citizens (both young and old) have been indoctrinated by our "education" system, the media, film, music and television, etc. to hate America and all that it stands for.
I cannot fathom any other person besides Donald J. Trump who would ever have the backbone to endure what he has had to during his presidency and his fight for America.
Sorry to be the pessimist here, but I think America will decline rather quickly after he leaves office and the plan to destroy America goes forward. I do, however, pray that I am wrong.

I hate to say it but I agree with him. Trump is a short term phenomenon. After him we go back to the deep swamp this time better trained to embed themselves and exert power.
You have 1.5 out of the two political parties who will go right along with it.

I believe there will be much conservative resistance to the point of state breakaway before we allow ourselves to be yoked like cattle.

I dont disagree with Savage. America as a civil society is dying. Can it be saved? Absolutely. But there are several writings that speak to the eight stages in the rise and fall of great civilizations. America has entered into the eigth and final stage - bondage. Yes, indeed, we have our hands full.

The best I can hope for is that the lasting effect of Trump will eventually be to restore the two party system. As the GoP or what replaces it gathers strength, our debt will continue to skyrocket. If we began today to act responsibly in a manner that would avoid a violent crisis, we would be embarking on a long road of austerity. The unknown that is a source of hope; we have no idea how well we might be able to do if we were able to unleash current technology in a free market without crushing taxation and regulation. We have squandered technology enabled efficiencies by spending the yield on bloated and wasteful government instead of on we the people. We might need to defer things like the dream of 40 hour work weeks to pay off the debt but if we could stop crushing producers we might not need to resort to mid 19th century living.
All debts are paid, either by the borrower or the lender. Foreign lenders tend to shoot you before accepting the burden.

#11, you left out all the unconstitutional redistribution programs called welfare - that's seriously increasing the debt, and is the primary cause of the debt in the first place. Without all the unconstitutional depts/programs spending money, the few constitutionally authorized tasks of the fedgov could be paid for easily.

When the darkness comes it will be satanic and likely when the populace accepts the false “man of peace”. We know it as the tribulation. Read Revelation. Trump seems to be a Cyrus and besides other accomplishments and has done more for religious freedom around the world than any previous leaders.

The Radical Marxist/Socialist truly believed that the election of 2016 would allow them to complete their "Transformation" of America into a Socialist nation ruled by the so-called intellectual elites.
Well, they lost the presidency, and their plan was all laid out for all too see. Americans now know we a fighting an internal Cold War to determine if the Nation will stay as a Constitutional Republic, or be taken over from within the bureaucracy to create a failed Socialist state.

Sorry OP, but given that Virginia has long been a bedroom state for the mostly democrat Fed bureaucracy, that comparison means nothing in the real world of politics. Savage has long been the Emperor of doom and gloom and pessimism. He will never be happy until the world falls apart for everybody.
I have no respect for anyone who wishes that on anybody, just for the sake of their black pill personal agenda. People who deliberately steal hope from others are truly not serving God, but somebody lower than that. Even Jesus had to tell one of the apostles to 'get behind me Satan'.

This kind of doom does not help with people like my friend, who now leans conservative, and voted for Trump, after "following" the crowd in liberal land Silicon Valley and voting Democrat for most of our 20 year friendship. She has stopped watching the news and reading online stories. Many middle of the road people I know are doing the same. The news/stories make her feels helpless and the hateful stories mostly left wing, and then proclamations like this, make her feel powerless and depressed. This is not unusual right now.

The forces of evil are nearly unopposed by the Washington cesspool. Our illegitimate oligarchy offers no avenue of lawful relief. The dogs of psychotic criminality have been loosed. Even the military has been polluted and politicized.
