I haven’t been able to shake this comment from my mind since she made it a couple weeks ago. Maybe it’s because Kamala Harris was my confident early prediction for the Democratic presidential nomination, maybe it’s because I still struggle to understand how someone can be so bad at running a national campaign as she has proven to be, or maybe it’s because I wonder why few people have noticed or drawn attention to this.
Whatever it is, her interview with Axios on HBO continues to echo in my head:

Every once in a while the Democrats screw up and tell us what they're really thinking. Looks like Kamala is picking up where Beto left off.

It's not your skin color Kamala, it's your batshit-crazy policies and SJW beliefs that have you behind. Far behind.

I think the author is reading a little too much into this, wishful thinking perhaps, I imagine Kamala’s comment about her electability is that Dems aren’t supporting her in the primary because they don’t think independents and no-Trump Republicans would vote for a woman of color. She’s still taking jabs at us. Of course she is.

Kamala Sutra was born in the U.S. to an Indian mother and Jamaican father. She moved with her mother to Montreal, Canada, went to school there, was a resident there until she went off to college in the U.S.
She, much like Barack Obola, is curiously disconnected to the United States and our culture. She was torn between four cultures - India, where she spent her summers, Jamaica, where she smoked pot with the locals, The U.S., where she lived for just 7 years, and Montrewal, Quebec, where they seem mostly insane when it comes to national identity.
Her policy positions are as flexible as her other 'positions' - I call her Kamala Sutra for good reason, and she is an adulteress, just like Jill Biden.
The dimocrat party - my party, by the way - has turned itself into an international joke.

No, Kamala, your race and gender have nothing to do with your lack of morals. Condolezza Rice would be a role model for smart black women not Kamala Harris. She is smart, talented, hard working, and honest. Sounds to me as if the Progressive Democrats don't think much of Ms Harris. Pres. Trump would eat her alive!

The author misinterpreted Harris's comment, although her comment is still loathsome. Harris implies that the Democrat base has made a calculation that to win the general election the nominee can't be a "woman of color", at least not yet. The comment is loathsome in that it denigrates the American public and subordinates issue positions, competence, temperament, moral character, etc. to superficial identity politics.

In her disappointment at being rejected, she's lashing out at the very people she expected to coronate her. I love it when they eat their own!

The Magic Negro was such a disaster for the U.S. that he alone, made it extremely unlikely for this country to vote in another candidate with his "unique" qualifications. My hopeful opinion. I lost faith in the general electorate when Bill got voted in twice. More so with Obama.
