Donald Trump claims to have seen evidence to substantiate the unproven theory that the coronavirus originated at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, despite US intelligence agencies’ conclusion that the virus was “not manmade or genetically modified”.
“We’re going to see where it comes from,” Trump said at a White House event on Thursday. “We have people looking at it very, very strongly. Scientific people, intelligence people, and others. We’re going to put it all together. I think we will have a very good answer eventually. And China might even tell us.”

These news jackals never learn anything. President Trump knows a lot more than what he is telling, as usual, and these clowns take the bait. They try to prove him wrong and eventually the truth comes out and the media continues to demonstrate what a bunch of morons they are.

Sadly, the left will look the other way. China is their ally after all. The truth is China needs to be held accountable for all the damage they caused. They could have done more to prevent the spread of CV19, but did not. They could have had more safeguard procedures in place at their lab. They better not have intentionally released the virus. That would be an act of war against the entire world.

All I know is when President Trump says something that makes the "destroy Trump at any cost) media's heads explode, he's always been right. There's no reason to believe this will be any different!

In February, a site called ZeroHedge had a report which covered the research papers by scientists at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, including links to several of the published research papers on studying bat's unique immune suppression methods of dealing with serious viruses. Clearly the WIV was researching bat viruses, and not hiding it, publishing papers in the open literature.
It has been clear to me, and to my microbiologist research scientist friend who also looked at the papers that it is extremely likely that sloppy practices in dealing with their lab animals (bats) infected a worker, who then carried the disease outside the lab, and infected people in the community. A similar accident happened with a strain of ebola virus at a US lab in Reston, Virginia in the late 80s. The virus infected lab workers, and killed all their lab animals, monkeys in this case. We lucked out that this strain of ebola is deadly only to the monkeys, and although transmissible from monkey to human, apparently wasn't dangerous to humans and didn't get transmitted past the lab workers. Stuff happens. I think the US learned from this.
A letter was written two years before this viral escape by US representatives warning that the training of the staff at the WIV was inadequate, and they were likely to have a virus escape due to poor viral controls, shortages of trained personnel, and poor containment practices.
IMO, the 'wet market' theory was likely a ChiCom propaganda story from day one, created to deflect attention away from their shoddy disease control protocols in what they considered a premier research institute.
I think the evidence is quite clear that Chinese science failed in this case to live up to the high standards required to safely work with potentially deadly viruses. Like all things Chinese, this research institute proved to be not nearly as capable as their propaganda says.
Having visited and worked with literally dozens of former soviet research labs over a decade of developing and managing scientific research projects in the former soviet states, this doesn't surprise me.

Intelligence gathering methods and technology must be protected or countries like China will steal it. In making this statement, Donald Trump is leaving the Chinese in doubt whether we know nothing or we know the entire story right down to the lab technician's name who screwed up. China is going to be paying a huge price for all of this in the near future. Our economy will come roaring back better than ever but China will no longer be on our coattails. This will happen whether they are at fault for creation of the virus or just for performing the cover up.

What US intelligence sources report to the media is not worth a hill of beans, it’s what the President of the USA says that is important, and at the moment the President does not have to say how he knows what he knows.

Just by looking at this logically one would have to figure this was not from a natural origin. Look, at no time in history has something like this naturally happened before. You maybe can claim the black plague but that was because of rats and other causes.

Even my Brit relatives absolutely despise the hate-filled nasty tinge by their press to all things Trump administration and America, in general. They have plenty of violent crime, chaos and trouble to write about in Londonistan yet they find time for this drivel. Trump’s comments will be proven correct once all the facts are known.

Of course we don't know for certain. China has not been willing to allow us in to look around the Wuhan lab, despite the fact that we paid for it. The Wuhan lab was investigating viruses which jump from one species to another, and one particular scientist (the bat lady) was specifically investigating viruses in bats (SARS type) which have jumped to other species in the past. We have the advertisements they posted as they searched for scientists able to perform this type of research. CV-19 appears to have come from bats from a cave 1000 miles from Wuhan.
How, exactly, it jumped to humans is not known. Was there a Patient 0? The Chinese are not going to tell us. Why were so many flown out of Wuhan late in 2019? Apparently many of those who left Wuhan carried the virus, as it had already spread throughout the city.
It is rumored that the Wuhan Lab was working at flank speed to prove they were equal to the US in their research on viruses. The truth of this has yet to be determined. It will take careful sleuth work (spying, I mean) to find this out. And those with knowledge in the Wuhan Lab have, I presume, been warned that leaking secrets will lead to their deaths. I presume we have ways (I don't want to know them) to break through this veil of secrecy.
At the very least, we must lessen our dependence on China for drug production and rare earth supplies. Any trade deal with China has become exceedingly dangerous.

The REAL issue is that it DID originate in CHINA, the CHICOMS covered it up and MADE IT spread all over the world by knowingly sending their 'death merchants' to other countries...but conveniently NOT to other parts of China...That is damning!
China, Your invoice is due, it amounts to 25 Trillion DOLLARS, we will only accept payment in GOLD. You have 60 days! Signed, The rest of the WORLD!

He knows.
The papers that were submitted in professional medical journals from the researchers IN WUHAN, and those who know what the people were working on outside of the Wuhan lab, and the sequencing of the genome tell us all we need to know,
The hysteria the media has created has to be kept going as long as possible before discovery to affect the election and to FINANCIALLY RUIN people to come with hat in had to the libs for help.

cnn interviewed a physician named Gupta - another gupta, not the well known one.
he dismissed the possibility of a lab worker becoming infected by a bat at the lab, but seemed to support the wet market origin.
An accidental infection at the lab makes the most sense to me, Even in the best-managed lab, an accident can occur..

Of particular interest... Trump says 'Originated in Wuhan lab' and the 'refutation' states 'not manmade or genetically modified'. Those two statements can very easily BOTH be true. Something to think about.
