Americans won’t stand for a backstabber like Romney to try and make a name for himself as another “Maverick”. Prior to this President most Americans had no clue what it meant to have someone in their corner actually working toward goals they held. Now we do and we will not fall for this two-faced disrupter. He has shown his true colors. That sanctimonious self-righteous facade he presents is fake. He is nothing more than a spoiler who is willing to say anything against this President to get affirmation by the media and political class. He is a despicable human being, dishonest and ungrateful who was more than happy to have the President’s endorsement and help in his bid for the Senate, but after his election turned on him and became the snake in the grass that he always has been. There are many things that people don’t like about someone but a backstabbing hypocrite is right up there at the top of the list. Romney is a disgrace. While he wants to be a thorn in the President’s side, it now is evident that he nothing more than a smarmy, sanctimonious wretch.

It doesnt matter what Americans or even republicans think of him. The only opinions that count are those of the Utah voters.

I despise the guy, and it is not just because of policy disagreements. It is personal. Romney is a bitter, vindictive, treacherous, jealous, and envious man, ignorant, arrogant, with expectations that he should be crowned king, is better than the peasantry----but most people don't want to crown an arrogant fool.

That 18% is likely almost entirely composed of Democrats who like him because he is anti-Trump. That's not a very good base to operate from but Pierre is to out of touch to realize just how weak his support is.

Re #2, Utah voters aren't seeing him as positively as they once did (Big understatement) I see him as a globalist businessman. BUT I do think it is egregious to bring his religion into the political argument/discussion. That is so last century. What if it were the doctrine of the elect or transubstantiation being brought into political conversation. Fair is fair and Americans like fair and my ancestors have primarily been Americans before and just after the first religious outcasts landed in New England or the future plantation owners who kept English businessmen interested in fostering colonization in VA and the Caribbean for fattening their coffers.
I haven't been so much defending Mitt Romney as trying to figure out what motivates him since I am from the two cultures that he is. Judgement is for the Lord but discernment is a gift IMO.

Name recognition got Mittens Romney elected in Utah to the US Senate, Beyond that he is a big time loser who could not even defend himself from bogus allegations made to his face by Candy Crowley in a past presidential debate. Putting up wimps like Romney are why the Republicans have been defeated in past Presidential elections. President Trump is right as Mittens is a pompous holier then thou failed politician.
Mittens is of the greedy globalist investor class who are out there to make as much money as possible, and could not give a crap about ordinary American workers. That class is OK with closing American factories and then opening them back up in low wage foreign countries thus losing huge numbers of American jobs, along with importing as much cheap foreign labor as possible, illegally or legally, to take the American jobs that could not be moved abroad. If he could he would have all American workers being able to only earn about the federal minimum wage to increase global investor profits.
Clearly the Chinese who have no control over President Trump, would love to see either Joseph Biden or Mittens Romney be elected as US President. Biden because of his known past involvement in international nepotistic corruption and Romney because of his global investor status, both of who the Chinese know they could co-opt by waving big bucks their way. Common sense will take you that all that would be very bad for America.

Ole Mitt doesn't rely on public opinion. Mitt and his big-money supporters BUY office. That's how he won Utah, and that's how he won the Republican 2012 nomination. They throw money at it. They outlast their opponents who drop out because they have less money. In the end, we are left with candidates with lots of money, but are terrible, and we MUST vote for them because ANY Republican is better than a Democrat.

Everybody point and laugh at Pierre Delecto. He made himself and the voters of Utah laughing stocks.
