'Y'all were running from us':
Michelle Obama claims 'white folks'
are 'afraid' of living in black neighborhoods

Michelle Obama spoke out against "white flight" in a recent interview, saying she experienced it as a kid and that it remains a problem. "As families like ours — upstanding families like ours who were doing everything we were supposed to do and better. As we moved in, white folks moved out because they were afraid of what our families represented," the former first lady said Tuesday at the Obama Foundation Summit in Chicago. "I want to remind white folks that y’all were running from us ... This family, with all the values that you read about, you were runnin

MIchelle, that's just not true!! I have ALWAYS wanted to be able to live in Martha's Vineyard on a 29 acre property on the water JUST LIKE YOU but we've only got 12 years before we're underwater, or something. And btw, Louis Farrakan lives in the whitest suburbs that ever was. It's a proven statistic that wherever blacks are more than 20% of the population, crime is sky high. Why is that Michelle? Why does crime seem to follow every significant percentage of population of color in the USA?

Back in the 50's and 60's in Buffalo, NY the area known as the Fruit Belt saw the white population move to the suburbs. Blacks were moving in and reality sets in as the compatibility factor was non existent. Michelle you know why, you are to dishonest to acknowledge it. We are sick of your woe is me because I'm black. I lived in a predominantly black neighborhood for 14 years. I happen to be white. Lots of good people there! But a few thugs as well as slum lords (thugs and slum lords have a symbiotic relationship) ruined it. Gunshots at night multiple nights a week. A drug house next door to the east. A dump of a house to the west. And yet the thing that worried me the most was being called a racist. And the only person who did was a mouthy black woman who served on city council. Made me physically ill because it wasn’t true. I don’t live there any more. Never care to go back. Scared? Not really. Just fed up with BS.

I want to live in a community that supports the police and doesn't back up a suspect who gets killed when they confront a cop with a gun. This stuff is beyond skin color. It's about actions and attitudes. Not many want to live with lawlessness but the elephant in the room is that the communities themselves set the bar for what they will tolerate. So far that has led to most people with economic freedom to go live among law abiding people. It is no coincidence that those communities support their local sheriff.

I can think of many black folks I wouldn't mind living next to. They are clean, mind their lawns and property, church going, have children raised with respect by a mother and father that live together. Also participate in community endeavors, school functions, keep their trash cans inside till trash pick up day and return the cans the same day. Also are polite and caring toward their neighbors. I'm not asking too much. It's just the way RESPECTABLE people of all races and creeds live live. I don't believe I could stand having you for a neighbor. You have big mouth, poor taste and you and your husband are UPPITY. Not my type of neighbor.

Back in 1978 I was driving a cab for the Blue Cab Co, of Oak Park, IL( suburb of Chicago ). I was east bound on Madison St. stopped at the light on Cicero Ave. (a Black neighborhood). I had the misfortune of being the car right at the crosswalk. All the Blacks stared at me as they crossed in front of my cab and one guy pounded on the hood of my cab. White people don't belong in black neighborhoods if the want to stay alive for long.

My father-in-law moved his family out of the West side of Chicago when his children were getting bloodied by their neighbors on a regular basis. My wife still bears the scars. He didn't move them because he wanted to loose 90% of the value of his house, he didn't leave at the sight of black, he left at the sight of red flowing from his children. How is that racist? That sort of community organizing wasn't exactly a secret. We humans have a talent for pattern recognition and learning, the word gets out, the truth. How is it then racist for the the folks in the next neighborhood to skedaddle at the first sight of blacks moving in before their property values plunged and their children were pummeled? You know what's racist Michelle? The denial that there is a pattern of violent behavior in the black community. If you'd like to blame white people lets sit down over a cup of coffee and I'll help you construct that argument. Seriously Michelle, I do blame white people. I blame LBJ and the other predominantly white democrats who created the new plantation. I blame predominantly white folks in the media who helped paint the republican party as the impediment to black advancement in our society. We have much to talk about Michelle. "There is a certain class of race-problem solvers who don’t want the patient to get well, because as long as the disease holds out they have not only an easy means of making a living, but also an easy medium through which to make themselves prominent before the public.”—Booker T. Washington 1911. I don't think my father-in-law created this by fleeing violence. Do you?

She's touching on my "Neighborhood Test" for racism... ask any liberal (white or black) which neighborhood they'd rather walk through at night, a black urban one, or a wealthy white one? If they have a lick of honesty they'll say, "the white one"... which puts the lie to any feelings of modern white racism.

If you were walking down a dark urban street by yourself and saw 5 young men walking towards you on the same side of the road, would it make any difference in your assessment of the situation if you knew they had just left a Bible study group?

This is why, when they go to Martha’s Vineyard, they spend most of their time in blackish Oak Bluff? I’d love to see a fact check on her childhood experience. The neighborhood they lived in and how the demographic changed. The little street that I grew up on now has four black families. No one is moving anywhere. And the homes are increasing in value. "There is nothing more painful to me at this stage of my life than to walk down the street and hear footsteps and start thinking about robbery - then look around and see somebody white and feel relieved." Reverend Jesse Jackson, 1993 (I clipped that out of a newspaper back then, saved it, and note that the Dollar Bill Clinton crime bill was being debated at that time. And when Lady Lucifer was asked about the crime bill, her response was that there were lots of young black men who were predators who should be locked up. In a recent year in Erie, Pa., in an eastside black neighborhood, two Polish-American teenaged brothers were riding their bikes. A 14 year old black boy, with a criminal history dating back to age 5(!) had a stolen 45 caliber pistol in his possession, demanded the bike of the 18 year old boy, who refused the demand, and the 14 year old shot the white boy dead. The 14 year old was placed in jail, and in a recorded conversation with his mother, told her not to worry. "I drooled, and talked dumb to the police." (The murderer appeared to be about 10 years old.) The 18 year old white boy was about to graduate from East H.S. in Erie, and was enlisting in the U.S. Army. What would Michelle say about the Reverend Jackson's comment? What would she say about the 14 year old black boy murderer? And why is she saying 'y'all.' which is a cultural appropriation of a white southerner term?

I moved out of a black neighborhood. Well, I was the 3rd generation in my family to live there and it wasn’t a black neighborhood when my grandfather moved there. I moved out because my father was mugged, my brother was mugged, my manager at work was mugged, my car was stolen a few times and 3 people I knew were murdered. These crimes were almost all committed by blacks or Latinos. Now, if she’s saying that the people who committed these crimes had black values, then who is the racist, her or me? Likewise, if she thinks breaking immigration laws and committing fraud and identity theft are immigrant values, then isn’t she anti-immigrant?

Grew up in a Burough of 4000 people. Third highest crime rate in the county. Property values were in the toilet. Absolutely no opportunity. It was a poor town. Nobody stayed there if they could help it. People that moved in came from areas that were actually poorer. Racial composition was 50/50. Don't blame the people for leaving. This was mismanagement. The town was a thriving community before the steel mills shutdown due to obsolescence. The town had banked on those steel mills being there forever. No income, no city services like POLICE. It took years to get that way. The longer they waited, the harder the problems would be to fix. In the end, there was little or no incentive to fix anything. My brother and I both left. We moved our mother out later. White flight? Race had nothing to do with it. It was unsafe. We had all been mugged. Our house was destroyed.by arson. The town was UNSAFE. If we wanted good paying jobs, we had to leave the area. This had nothing to do about to do about race. Michelle, get off your high horse.

A group known as the Hymn Society has released a collection titled Songs for the Holy Other: Hymns Affirming the LGBTQIA2S+ Community for liturgical use in the United States and Canada. Among the nearly 50 “queer hymns” featured in the collection are: “God of Queer Transgressive Spaces,” “Lovely, Needy People,” “Quirky Queer and Wonderful” and “The Kingdom of God is the Queerest of Nations.” The ecumenical, non-profit Hymn Society released the hymnal in July but it was publicized just last week by Anglican Journal, the publication of the Anglican Church of Canada, which praised the work for offering “further potential for music as a source of affirmation and inclusion.” Sydney Brouillard-Coyle,

All those long lines at the unemployment office, the food stamp lines at the grocery store, the emergency rooms jampacked with illegals waiting for free medical care -- that sort of thing has almost vanished since Donald got in. What will set America off on the road to civil war is Democrats once again stealing an election, as Kennedy did in 1960. Our choice is clear: the Obama road or the Trump road

More than 500 criminal illegal aliens were released back onto the streets of North Carolina this fiscal year by sanctuary cities, according to federal immigration officials. Newly released data by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency reveals the degree to which sanctuary cities and counties in North Carolina are protecting criminal illegal aliens from arrest and deportation. “Across North Carolina, local authorities refused to honor more than 500 detainers for foreign nationals during Fiscal Year 2019,” ICE officials wrote in a statement. “All of these detainer refusals are of persons criminally arrested by a law enforcement agency for a criminal offense beyond their violation of federal immigration law.”

Presidential hopeful Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) campaigned in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Sunday night alongside Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and attempted to slam President Donald Trump with unsubstantiated labels. “This is, in addition to all of that, a president who is a racist, who is a sexist, who is a xenophobe, a homophobe, and a religious bigot,” Bernie Sanders claimed. “This is a president who is trying to divide us up based on the color of our skin, where we were born, our sexual orientation, or our religion.” Sanders, who has made similar statements regarding President Trump in the past, said last month in a tweet that Trump is a “very formidable opponent.”

Antisemitic Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) campaigned for presidential hopeful Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) in Minneapolis on Sunday night where she said she is “excited for President Bernie Sanders.” “I am beyond honored and excited for a president who will fight against Western imperialism and fight for a just world,” Omar told the crowd of Sanders supporters. “I am excited for President Bernie Sanders.” Omar went on to claim that a “movement” must be built in order for Sanders to take the White House from President Donald Trump. “Here’s the cold truth: We can’t achieve any of these goals if we don’t build a movement

Last week in a dinner speech at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C., Princeton professor Robert George had some advice for social and religious conservatives: “You must fight.” It was an exhortation that does him no good in the academic world. A distinguished Ivy League scholar and teacher isn’t supposed to talk about the “culture war.” George has strong connections with the established conservative world, too, which balks at the confrontational style. In my year at the James Madison Program at Princeton, which George directs, visitors included George Will, Steve Forbes, and Andrew Napolitano. But the other night was a firm declaration of resistance. It was fantastic. One of the people cheering

Welcome to the new and improved Get Trump Daily, special impeachment edition. A couple of days ago, on Halloween, a cute kid of about 7 came to our door dressed up as a dinosaur. It was a pretty nifty costume, green with spindling protuberances, tail with spiky-things, and bits on the head that expanded in a showy way when the budding tyrannosaur pressed a button. This had two effects: One, you could tell that it was supposed to be scary, so it was a cue to say, “Oooh!” and “Ah! That’s scary!” Two: it made the costume’s occupant feel important, and I think that was probably the major effect. “Trick or treat."

Our founding fathers were well versed in Latin. In fact, Latin phrases and mottoes adorn our national treasures and pepper our corpus of political discourse and jurisprudence. Today, one stands out above all as the Dems, desperate to usurp the upcoming presidential election, embark on an impeachment coup: quid pro quo. When considering the apparatus of our government, the founders favored a distribution of power similar to that of the Roman Republic. Benjamin Franklin captured their admiration of the early republic's virtue and its representative nature when responding to a question about what the constitutional delegates had crafted: "A republic, if you can keep it."

The monsoons in Mumbai are particularly punishing especially when you are the sole occupant of open-air rickshaw, engulfed in traffic beyond your range of vision. After several minutes the static traffic began to move, the collective noise of automobile engines was about to drown every sounds in the vicinity. Suddenly a shrill wail penetrated through, the sort of cry that would cause the most heartless of individuals to shudder. Quite soon, it was discovered that a puppy had surreptitiously crept under a taxi cab to avoid the heavy rains. Everybody stepped out of their cars fearing the worst. Then the taxi driver emerged with the puppy in his arms

Trump derangement syndrome (TDS) is a mental disorder in which a person has effectively been driven insane due to his hatred of Donald Trump, to the point where he abandons all logic and reason. Such people are impervious to facts that contradict their preconceived notions of the president. As to a syndrome, it's a group of symptoms that consistently occur together and indicate the presence of a particular mental or physical disease. For example, symptoms for the onset of diabetes include things like increased thirst and urination, insulin resistance, high belly fat, blurred vision, and so on. One of the symptoms of TDS is envy.

Sea level rise is set to challenge human civilization for centuries to come, even if internationally agreed climate goals are met and planet-warming emissions are then immediately eliminated, researchers have found. The lag time between rising global temperatures and the knock-on impact of coastal inundation means that the world will be dealing with ever-rising sea levels into the 2300s, regardless of prompt action to address the climate crisis, according to the new study. Even if governments meet their commitments from the landmark 2015 Paris climate agreement, the first 15-year period of the deal will still result in enough emissions

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City voters on Tuesday overwhelmingly approved removing Dr. Martin Luther King’s name from one of the city’s most historic boulevards, less than a year after the city council decided to rename The Paseo for the civil rights icon. Unofficial results vote showed the proposal to remove King’s name received nearly 70% of the vote, with just over 30% voting to retain King’s name. The debate over the name of the 10-mile (16.1 kilometer) boulevard on the city’s mostly black east side began shortly after the council’s decision in January

WASHINGTON – The 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton said Tuesday night that she did not understand the change she has seen in former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani in recent years, joking that it seemed as if "aliens had seized his brain." She made the comment after "Late Late Show" host James Corden asked Clinton if she had been surprised by Giuliani's behavior. "Totally," she said, laughing. "He was mayor during 9/11. I was a senator, I worked with him, and I don't know what happened. It's almost like aliens have seized his brain."

The paper, which features more than 11,000 scientist signatories from 153 countries, was authored by scientists from the University of Sydney, Oregon State University, the University of Cape Town and Tufts University. Oh boy, have the wounds healed? According to multiple media reports former Attorney General Jeff Sessions is poised to run for his longtime Senate seat in Alabama. He would be challenging Senator Doug Jones who is considered the most vulnerable Democrat in the Senate. Mr. Sessions was generally disappointing during his tenure as AG; driven primarily by his recusal from all issues around the 2016 campaign, including the Mueller investigation. President Trump requested his resignation the day after the mid-terms, and President Trump stated giving Jeff Sessions the AG job was the biggest mistake of his presidency. On the upside, Sessions was a good Senator and dependably strong on immigration and

Here we see the new terms in action from Rep. John Garamendi, D-Calif., yesterday on CNN. The supposed justification for this ramping up of the rhetoric is an amendment that Ambassador Gordon Sondland made to his testimony before the impeachment inquiry in which he said

A federal judge Wednesday blocked the Trump administration’s rule allowing healthcare workers to refuse to provide abortions—and other procedures—that violate their religious beliefs. The administration’s rule was set to take effect this July but the Health and Human Services Department delayed the effective date to Nov. 22 after the “conscience” rule, which is aimed at protecting religious or moral objections to various medical procedures, was challenged in court by more than a dozen states. Judge Paul Engelmayer, an Obama appointee, sided against the Trump administration. “Contrary to HHS’s depiction of it as mere housekeeping, the rule relocates the metes and bounds
