Donald Trump’s lesson for Mitt Romney

Original Article

Genteel Republicans like Mitt Romney complain about Donald Trump’s unpresidential behavior but how else does he combat the dirty left? Only a barbarian could defy the liberal establishment as he has done. Imagine if Romney were president, trying to be dignified and patrician. They’d eat him alive. Unless, of course, he did nothing to block their agenda, in which case he’d be left alone like all the other cowardly roll-over Republicans. The American people chose a barbarian for president because they knew only a barbarian could drain the Washington swamp. And, judging by the president’s unchanged approval ratings since House Democrats launched their impeachment inquiry, not to mention his record donation

Another one of these Trump hit pieces. He is working on draining the swamp. He is not a barbarian, nor unpresidential, or any of the other apcray that dummies like Miranda like to throw at him while handing out faint praise. Miranda is a writer for the Sydney (Australia) papers. Full stop.

If Trump read this article I'm quite sure he would say, "I'm President Trump and I approve this message". I'm sure the word barbarian used to describe Trump would make him say, Yeah, that's tight, snowflakes can't drain swamps but barbarians can. Barbarian at the Gates! (And they are scared to death).

At least, the author understands that it takes a barbarian to fight the vicious unhinged democrats and the media. Frankly, if it takes a barbarian that’s okay by me but this President is far from that definition. By all accounts, he is a genial and gracious man who treats people very well. He just can’t abide individuals who have made a mockery of this country and are waging war to destroy it. Americans get it. They admire this trait in the President because they understand the gravity of the reality that is politics in this country now. The dems are the true barbarians who don’t give a thought for the innocent lives they destroy by the millions. They would sacrifice anything or anyone to advance their hellish policies. That my friends, is a barbarian. We need a warrior President to fight the evil that has consumed the democrat party and media. I applaud his bluntness, his refusal to remain silent when the country and its people are being destroyed. Give me Donald Trump any day over the milquetoast Mitt Romney. He could not walk two steps in this President’s shoes. The left would annihilate him. God bless President Trump. Give him wisdom and keep him safe from the evil that is bent upon his destruction. May no weapon that is formed prosper against him.

I quite resent our POTUS being called a "barbarian". POTUS Trump is anything but a barbarian. However, he does know how to deal with the true barbarians that make of the political left in the world. He actually fights them! which is so unlike the the lace-cuffed and pearl-clutching patricians of the GOPe. The GOPe crowd reminds me of the prissy guy all dressed in ivory-colored, lacy clothing in The Fifth Element who, when Bruce Willis' character wants the lacy guy to pass him a gun during an attack on their space cruise ship by barbarians, instead rolls him a red billiard ball. They don't have the know-how, let a lone the gumption to fight back against people who want to kill us and our nation.

While 99 percent of the article is okay, I also resent or mostly disagree with the barbarian reference. Especially since the writer infers that's how we see PDT. We are fighting the barbarians in our great nation that was built on faith, freedom, rights, and justice. The left has worked to destroy the fabric of a great country with infringements on our faith, freedom, rights, and justice. They want us to live like animals while they live high on the hog. There's nothing great about what the leftists have in mind for the transformation of our nation. No, the barbarians are the leftists, ma'am. You can get outta here with that.

The liberals who are happy to use Romney as a mouthpiece to attack the President did not vote for him and never would. He is a pompous fool who is being used. That’s why he is not the President.

I would submit that the barbarians in the WH were the last occupants. PDT doesn’t sit with his feet on the Resolute desk. He doesn’t invite violent rap “stars” to parties there. His wife doesn't exit Marine 2 wearing flip flops, tank shirts and cargo shorts. His children are always beautifully turned out and have excellent manners. His wife doesn’t sneer at the American flag. He doesn’t bow to Saudi kings. I could go on and on and on, but you get the idea.

In this crazy day and age, someone who tells the truth is often seen as a barbarian. The people kept electing republicans to stop Obama and they got to washington and were too afraid to do anything to stop his anti-america agenda. That's the reason washington got Trump. Trump has that quality that I've been waiting for from a republican my entire 35 year voting life: he fights back. Sometimes it takes ugliness and mockery to put the leftists in their place and I'm glad Trump is willing to get into the dirt to fight.

Miranda, I think we here at L.Com get it. We get your point about the toughness and compassion that the President brings. Terming him as a barbarian might be a little strong, but, let's be honest - the President has no patience for the deep state, the msm, and the corrupt DC swamp. Preserving America as the Constitutional Republic it was founded as remains President Trump's top priority. Achieving this aim within the current sea of evil will be hard, but, he will persevere and carry on. Carry on, Mr. President.

GWB left office with record-low approval ratings, ushering in the Obama administration, and Romney let the Dems slap him around in 2012, and lost a winnable election to a man whose policies wiped out a generation of Democrat candidates.

I would say Trump is a fighter. I don't think that makes him a barbarian. He just recognizes the incestuousness and stupidity of modern politics, media, and globalism and refuses to accept it. If a person is injuring a child and you stand up to them forcefully, are you a barbarian? If a person is trying to break into a car and you confront them, are you a barbarian? If someone is telling vicious lies about someone and you refute them, are you a barbarian? When someone has decided the rules of society don't apply to them and you try to hold them accountable, are you a barbarian? When people stand up to the bad people in our society, they are not barbarians, they are forces of order and righteousness. Of course from the other side of the fight, such people are viewed quite differently. Bad people view the forces who oppose them as troublesome. The more resistance, the more troublesome. People who refuse to see the bad in the world and stand against it are fools. As to a lesson, if Romney hasn't figured it out by now he really is a dope and is unlikely to learn much.

Here we are in the midst of a once-in-a-half-century pandemic, with the economy flattened, millions of people unemployed, and unrest on the streets of our cities. And President-elect Joe Biden says that one of his highest priorities as president will be to reenter the Paris climate accord. President Trump kept his "put America first" promise and pulled the United States out of this Obama-era treaty. Biden wants us back in. Why? Paris is an unmitigated failure. You don't have to take my word for it. National Geographic, a supporter of climate change action, recently ran the numbers and admitted in its recent headline: "Most countries aren't hitting 2030 climate goals."

President Trump granted a pardon to Michael Flynn, his former national-security adviser, today. Flynn had pled guilty to lying to FBI agents about conversations, during the 2016 transition, with the Russian ambassador about sanctions. Flynn’s pardon should bring to an end one gross violation of the Constitution’s separation of powers, even as it gives rise to groundless accusations of another. Although Flynn had pled guilty, the circumstances of the case had raised serious concerns about whether the government had proceeded properly. The FBI, for example, questioned Flynn even though it did not appear he had violated any law. In May, Attorney General William Barr ordered the case dropped.

There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred.
