Because former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski did not indulge the Democrats' "get Trump" efforts at Tuesday's House Judiciary hearing, some say he should be punished, even though Lewandowski complied with the committee's subpoena and did answer some, but not all of their questions about facts that already are known."I think you have to look at Mr. Lewandowski as an adverse witness," Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Calif.), a member of the House intelligence and Oversight Committees, told CNN on Tuesday. (Video)

This cabal of democrat operatives is completely out of control and unhinged! They are an insult to Congress (if that is possible nowadays) and derelict in their duty to their constituents! What blows my mind is that everyone knows what scum they are and there are no consequences!!

I'll show the Judiciary "inherent contempt" with two extended middle fingers. Nadler, Jackson Lee and the whole contemptible bunch have earned it!

Lewandowski offered normal people a little humor. He didn’t even, to my knowledge, say “I don’t recall” at all, although I didn’t watch much of it. Apparently he wasn’t coached by the Clintons, otherwse it would be nonstop “I don’t recall” and “depends on what the meaning of is is”. Gosh, I hope his performance doesn’t give Mr. Nadler another “spell”.

Oh I get it. This is a new tax. Speier knows each and every last one of us holds Congress in utter and complete contempt. Thus, fining all of us is just a new Democrat tax.

Inherent contempt was an archaic tool used by congress to pressure witness testimony prior to the writing of laws for either criminal or civil contempt of congress. It has not been invoked since 1935, since civil or criminal contempt laws are no on the books. Inherent contempt is brought up here because it is entirely controlled by congress, no judicial or executive branch involvement is allowed. Congress arrest him , tries him and judges him all at the same time. I see serious habeas corpus problems since the accused has no ability to appeal or to even have representation. ANy Punish, emt meeted out also expires on the day the congressional session ends.

Another "safe" Democrat spewing things that many of her colleagues can't, but sit silently by watching them represent the Democrat party.
Again, need the GOP to push hard in all of those new Dem Congress-critters about all the extreme liberal things they are simply allowing to happen without speaking up against them. Which implies they too are just as liberal, or they are purposely lying to their district voters about who they truly are, and not likely an actual representation of that district.

We've got news for you, Rep. Speier. Most Americans have inherent contempt for you. Your House Committee has neither any intelligence or oversight. You are neglecting the duties you were elected to perform, to pursue all of this ridiculous pursuit of President Trump.

Hilarious. Use an archaic procedure not invoked since 1934 since actual statutory procedures that replaced it would be too difficult/impossible. This woman is a true idiot. And anyone that voted for her apparently is too.

Utterly laughable. The rats can't ask a cohesive question so they brought in their big guns from lawfare group who also could do much but embarrass themselves. We are watching a comedy. Ham fisted sketch comedy. You got a fat guy, a ditz and assorted nitwits from Dewey, Cheatum and How's attorneys at law.

Corey was right. Those idiot Progressive Democrats could not even ask one question while looking him in the eye. They have to read their questions because someone else writes them for them. The Democrats look worse every day. I am sick of seeing them and hearing them. My TV remote is the best thing in the house.

There are two species of contempt. Direct contempt, which is defiance of the court in person, and indirect contempt, which occurs out of the presence of the court, such as the disobedience of a written order or subpoena. "Inherent contempt" sounds like a bad attitude. More than a few witnesses have a 'tude. They cannot be fined or jailed for it, but they win no points with the judge or jury.
