CNN devoted about seven hours to a series of town halls on climate change Wednesday night, giving 10 candidates for the Democratic presidential nomination the chance to discuss their wish-lists of extraordinarily expensive environmental proposals they would seek to enact if they make it to the White House.
The biggest winner of the night wasn’t even on stage. It was President Trump, who has brought the American people massive job creation, a stronger economy, lower taxes and a booming energy sector that has put us on the road to energy independence.
I predict that millions of voters who learned about the Democrats’ energy plans

Losers: Anyone whose life is so empty that they watched the 7 hours of the snooze fest.
Winners: Fox News. They could have run the test pattern and beat CNN in the ratings.

They are all crazy. None of those things are remotely economically feasible. Only by paying 3 or 4 times as much money per month for our utilities can these happen, and even then, there will be power shortages all the time.

The urge to "Follow the yellow brick road" is just now kicking in. Everyone wants to be Dorothy.
The actual end game is of no importance to the leaders. The purpose is to relinquish the private assets of a wealthy capitalist state (See: Venezuela) into the hands of a political elite so that they can spend their time on Earth in fabulous wealth and out Capitalist the Capitalist producers by cornering the market on everything........by force.

Now, enumerate in each House district, and State, what their plans would do to their tax revenues, and how that loss will affect funding for schools, police and firefighters. How it will impact their communities.
Ask Biden why he flies on planes when he really should be taking the train everywhere.
What? Can't get around as quickly?

Winners? The only winners were the people, like me, who didn't watch.

Bottom line, everybody who realizes that even the most radical leftist socialist Democrat and his or her proposed very expensive social policy changes can never conquer “nature”, that has always changing since the get-go, influenced in great measure by the earth’s orbit, will end up voting for President Trump. Of course there will always be a certain percentage of people who will never get the word and will either not vote, or vote for Democrat socialists and their pie in the sky fraudulent “smoke” that will never change “nature”.

"While it’s true that the green energy the Democratic candidates embrace holds a lot of potential and has a bright future years from now"
NO! It is NOT true. There is no way for solar and wind to provide the energy we need, even if we had a magic wand that made the enormous costs disappear. There are physical limits to how much energy we can wrest out of sunlight and how much energy we can squeeze out of wind. Current technology is near those limits already. So there will be no magical breakthroughs for solar and wind to significantly increase production. We would have to place solar and wind collectors EVERYWHERE and that would not collect enough power. Further, as pointed out, the materials needed to make these collectors are rare and expensive and we could probably NOT get enough to make all we need. We would have to MINE EVERYWHERE to get enough raw materials.
Also, the wind does not always blow and the sun doesn't shine at night. There is no way to produce enough batteries to store the energy we would need. The batteries also require rare and expensive materials to produce. You know the strategic petroleum reserves? It could provide about a month of the oil that we use. There is NO possible way to produce a Strategic Power Reserve for stored energy from green sources for a month's supply. I repeat, NO possible way. Tesla's “Gigafactory” in Nevada is currently the world’s biggest battery manufacturing facility. Its total ANNUAL production could store three MINUTES worth of annual U.S. electricity demand. It would take 15,000 YEARS for the Gigafactory to produce enough batteries to store 30 days of U.S. electricity demand. $200,000 worth of Tesla batteries, which collectively weigh over 20,000 pounds, are needed to store the energy equivalent of one barrel of oil. A barrel of oil weighs 300 pounds and can be stored in a $20 tank. Batteries equivalent to the 30 day strategic energy reserve would cost $130 TRILLION dollars and weigh 144,000 TONS. NOTE: This is only for the US. All the other countries of the world would like to be green as well. Based in the population, we would only need to spend $3250 TRILLION for batteries to green the world. Beyond all that, the ability for a national power grid to balance erratic energy sources like solar and wind, does not exist.
The realities of "green energy" is that it is INSANE to think it could work, now or in the future. We are wasting huge amounts of time, effort, and funds on a feel good "solution" that cannot possibly work, for this country or the world.
