Lou Dobbs railed about shifting predictions regarding when the Justice Department will release the inspector general's report on alleged Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act abuses. The Fox Business host began his Monday evening segment by criticizing Sen. Lindsey Graham, who said over the weekend the report is “coming out in weeks, not days, not months," and he believes it will be “ugly and damning” for the DOJ because of its handling of the Russia investigation. "The RINO and often confused Sen. Lindsey Graham, well — making some bizarre statements over the weekend, about the imminent release of the Department of Justice inspector general report on FISA abuse," Dobbs said,

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Jill Biden told voters in New Hampshire on Monday they should get behind her husband for the 2020 presidential race not necessarily because he is the best candidate, but because he's the most electable. Washington - The United States will extend a reprieve that permits China’s Huawei Technologies to buy components from US companies to supply existing customers, the Commerce Department said on Monday (Aug 19), but it also moved to add more than 40 of Huawei’s units to its economic blacklist. The 90-day extension “is intended to afford consumers across America the necessary time to transition away from Huawei equipment, given the persistent national security and foreign policy threat”, the department said in a statement.

When Jeffrey Epstein's ex-girlfriend and alleged co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell was snapped for the first time in three years last week, it was claimed a fellow diner had 'chanced' upon her at a Los Angeles burger bar.
But, like everything connected with this extraordinary case, conspiracy theorists have leapt on apparent discrepancies in the images of the 57-year-old eating at In-N-Out Burger in Hollywood.
Why, for example, does Ms Maxwell remove her reading glasses before posing with an open book?

Gay conservatives are “morally bankrupt racists” and “bigoted trash.”
At least, that’s how one left-wing trans activist, writing for The Advocate, described the LGBT conservative group Log Cabin Republicans after they endorsed President Trump for reelection last week.
It wasn’t just one writer at a left-wing outlet that came unhinged at the idea that some gay people are breaking with the liberal monolith. A liberal writer at the Daily Beast accused Log Cabin Republicans of “reality-defying” and “gaslighting” for their argument that Trump has been good enough on LGBT issues to earn their endorsement. And an unhinged ThinkProgress screed essentially accused Log Cabin Republicans of being anti-LGBT,

Today, Clinton turns 73, having exceeded Psalm 90’s allotted three-score years and 10, and having survived impeachment, open-heart surgery, and more than enough personal and political scrapes to exhaust nine lives, much less one. Unless he lives to 150, the 42nd president

One of the weirdest characteristics of our global politicians and moral censors is their preference to voice cosmic justice rather than to address less abstract sin within their own purview or authority. These progressive virtue mongers see themselves as citizens of the world rather than of the United States and thus can impotently theorize about problems elsewhere when they cannot solve those in their own midst. Big-city mayors are especially culpable when it comes to ignoring felonies in their midst, preferring to hector the misdemeanors of the universe. Notice how New York Mayor Bill De Blasio lords over the insidious deterioration of his city while he lectures on cosmic white supremacy.

Obvious and repulsive hypocrisy on the part of wealthy and connected people telling us that we must sacrifice our standard of living – indeed, our very way of life – finally is being called out. They want us to bear the entire burden, while their jet-setting lifestyles remain untouched.
The alarmists are getting more and more shrill about their predictions of doom (snip) Climate hypocrisy is the only conclusion that can be drawn as just this last weekend, two instances of ultra-prominent doom-sayers generating massive CO2 emissions while warning the rest of us to embrace impoverishment in the name of saving the planet.

The Climate Mobilization, a group pushing for a World War II-scale national mobilization to fight global warming, condemned the media for pursuing "objectivity" by giving air time to "climate deniers." Aligned with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), the organization wants the media to silence all voices opposing their climate alarmism.
"Some media outlets are sacrificing the future of our planet for the sake of appearing objective," Margaret Klein Salamon, founder and executive director of The Climate Mobilization, said in a news release Saturday.

Although largely forgotten today, during the 1930s and 1940s my grandmother, Eunice Carter, was one of the most prominent black women in the United States.
At a time when so much was closed to those of her race and gender, she accomplished extraordinary things. She was a prosecutor in New York City, where she helped convict Lucky Luciano, the nation's most powerful mobster. She has been much on my mind the past few years, because I've spent the past several years writing a book about her. She is, in a sense, in my head.

Gov. J.B. Pritzker has signed a law allowing Illinois to take its own action to slow climate change.
The Democrat approved legislation this week that repeals the Kyoto Protocol Act of 1998. It limited state action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The U.S. withdrew from Kyoto in 2001. But Illinois had put it into state law so it was bound by rules the federal government no longer intended to follow. Naperville Democratic Sen. Laura Ellman says it sends a message that "Illinois is ready to get serious about climate change." The law she and Evanston Democratic Rep. Robyn Gabel sponsored takes effect Jan. 1.

Authorities this weekend announced they had foiled three potential mass shootings after arresting three men in different states who expressed interest in or threatened to carry them out.
All three cases were brought to authorities' attention thanks to tips from the public.
Here's what we know about them. In Connecticut, 22-year-old Brandon Wagshol was arrested after authorities said he had expressed interest in committing a mass shooting on Facebook, according to a statement from the FBI and the Norwalk Police Department.

Citing a new study arguing that the media give too much prominence to climate skeptics in their coverage of climate issues, a group advocating for governments to declare a climate “emergency” says those responsible for such editorial decisions are “sacrificing the future of our planet for the sake of appearing objective.”
“This idea of equating climate deniers with scientific experts is a dangerous practice which frames the threat to our planet, our existence as an ongoing debate,” said Margaret Klein Salamon, founder and executive director of the New York-based The Climate Mobilization (TCM).

Anyone interested in justice was entitled to feel a Chris Matthews thrill up their leg when Tulsi Gabbard went after Kamala Harris for her record as state attorney general at the Detroit debate.
Gabbard pointed out that as California’s AG, Harris refused to allow DNA testing that would’ve exonerated a death-row inmate and prosecuted over a thousand marijuana cases—though as a candidate she later laughed with a radio host about her own pot smoking past.
But that’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Harris’s tenure.
There’s the case of Daniel Larsen. After 11 years of incarceration, a federal judge ruled that he was innocent.

In front of a crowd of black Christian millennials on Saturday, a pair of leading 2020 Democratic candidates asked the faithful to put their trust in the government.
Left-wing darlings Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) appeared back-to-back at a presidential forum put on by Black Church PAC, a day after three other Democratic hopefuls attended the same Young Leaders Conference in Atlanta.
Addressing an audience sporting t-shirts with phrases like "Saved But Not Soft" and "God Made Me, Jesus Saved Me," they discussed their plans to cancel student debt, enact gun control, battle white nationalism, and expand health care coverage—

New York City Mayor de Blasio’s wife has rejected the results of a public vote calling for a statue of Mother Cabrini (pictured), a Catholic saint, and instead opted to honor other “women,” including two drag queens.
Chirlane McCray, the mayor’s wife, launched a “She Built NYC” program and invited the public to vote on the names of women they want the city to recognize with a statue. Mother Cabrini got more votes than any other woman (219), yet McCray’s panel rejected the public’s choice.
Without explanation, McCray decided on a group of people that were nowhere near the top choices picked by New Yorkers, including the two drag queens who founded

North Carolina’s largest sanctuary county released a previously deported illegal alien accused of rape and child sex crimes, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency reveals.
Oscar Pacheco-Leonardo, a 33-year-old illegal alien from Honduras, was arrested almost two months ago by the Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, Sheriff’s Office for first-degree rape and child sex crimes. After his arrest, ICE officials said they placed a detainer on Pacheco-Leonardo, requesting that he be turned over to the agency before being released from local custody.
Mecklenburg’s sanctuary county policy, however, ensured that the sheriff’s office release the illegal alien from their custody, allowing him to run free for nearly

Illegal workers fled a number of Georgia food processing plants this past week after highly-publicized raids by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency at five Mississippi plants.
This month, ICE agents conducted the largest workplace raid in more than a decade across five food processing plants in Mississippi, netting the arrests of 680 illegal aliens. That same day, though, ICE officials said they released about 300 of the illegal workers back into the U.S. on “humanitarian grounds.” More than 200 of the illegal workers had prior criminal records and a federal criminal investigation is expected to result in convictions of the employers at the plants.

Last week, the Wall Street Journal had a scoop of sorts; the headline read, “President Trump Eyes a New Real-Estate Purchase: Greenland: In conversations with aides, the president has — with varying degrees of seriousness — floated the idea of the U.S. buying the autonomous Danish territory.”
Greenland, of course, is a huge island in the Atlantic, most of it north of the Arctic Circle. As such, even though it boasts 836,000 square miles of territory — more than a quarter the size of the continental U.S. — it counts a population of just 55,000.
In other words, the great landmass is ripe for development, so it’s

Senior Democratic members of Congress are said to have launched discussions to formally censure the U.S. Ambassador to Israel and Jerusalem’s envoy in Washington over Israel’s decision to bar entry to congresswomen Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar.
Around a dozen lawmakers, several of whom are Jewish, have begun talks to communicate a “deep lack of confidence and trust” in Israel’s ambassador to the U.S. Ron Dermer and U.S. envoy to Israel David Friedman, the McClatchy news service reported, citing congressional sources.
According to the report, the Democrats are considering releasing a statement of no confidence in Dermer and opening an inspector-general investigation into Friedman.

When Bill Clinton successfully unseated sitting President George H.W. Bush in 1992, Clinton’s campaign manager James Carville coined the phrase, “It's the economy, stupid” as a campaign theme. Look at crowd sizes and enthusiasm as a better metric than opinion polls which oversample Democrats, the same polls that predicted a Clinton landslide victory.

A mounting number of voter polls show that, despite shrill denunciations of the President by the Democrats for his alleged racism, Trump is enjoying a dramatic increase in his approval ratings among minorities. This isn’t, as some liberal news outlets and pundits have suggested, wishful thinking based on outlier polls. The trend began showing up in surveys early this year and appears to be gaining momentum. Some polls now show his approval numbers at 25 percent among African-American voters and 50 percent among Hispanic voters. If those figures hold for the next 15 months, they will render Trump unbeatable in November of 2020.

The summer before the Iowa caucuses is when politicians abandon whatever it is they believe in and instead pay homage to King Corn.
When Republicans are running, any belief in free enterprise is scuttled in favor the big government ethanol mandate.
Among Democrats, concern about smog and pollution evaporates in the heat of an Iowa summer.
The politicians who pledge to take on the special interests instead bow obediently before the ethanol lobby.
Al Gore, who admits federal support for ethanol was a mistake, explains his own advocacy of such policies thus: “I had a certain fondness for the farmers in the state of Iowa

I’ll never forget the moment I learned we were on lockdown. It was Aug.15, 2012. My frustration mingled with fear. Trapped on the sixth floor, we knew someone had been shot. We knew we couldn’t leave yet. We knew little else.
While I was missing lunch, a crime scene played out in the office lobby below me. My coworker and friend Leo wasn’t armed, but he had played the quick-thinking and inadvertent hero, disarming a young man on a mission to kill me and as many of my colleagues as possible. The gunman had packed his backpack with ammo and 15 Chick-fil-A sandwiches —

Former FBI Director James Comey and his wife have contributed nearly $20,000 to Democrats so far this year, Federal Election Commission filings show.
Comey, who was fired by Donald Trump within four months of him taking over the Oval Office, has been an outspoken critic of the president and has called on Americans to deliver a landslide victory for the Democratic nominee in 2020.
"All of us should use every breath we have to make sure the lies stop on January 20, 2021," Comey told a New York City audience last December. The former FBI director added during an MSNBC appearance that Democrats "have to win."

A slew of Democrats are lining up to challenge Sen. John Cornyn (R) in Texas in 2020, showcasing the party’s optimism of flipping a Senate seat in the historically red state despite the likely uphill climb.
Seven Democrats have entered the primary, and one more could join in a state that has not elected a Democratic senator in more than three decades. Among the candidates are MJ Hegar, a military veteran who narrowly lost a House race last year and Houston City Councilwoman Amanda Edwards.
The optimism is being driven by trends that appear to favor Democrats, including a growing diversity and a surge in transplants

Declaring the criminal justice system ruined by pervasive racism and “corporate profiteering,” Sen. Bernard Sanders proposed a massive overhaul Sunday that would free many drug convicts, abolish the death penalty and solitary confinement, and promote an unarmed “civilian corps” to replace the police for lower-level calls.
The Sanders campaign said the goal is to keep people out of prisons in the first place, with a goal of cutting the incarcerated population in half. For those who still land behind bars, he called for better conditions with a focus on helping them stay connected to society and to reintegrate faster when they are released.

HBO’s latest fiasco in entertainment, The Righteous Gemstones, premiered on Sunday night. Nudity? Check. Unnecessary profanity? Check. Extremely mind numbing content? Check. So what sets this show apart from the rest of the junk HBO puts out? Not much. The storyline, which is centered around a rich celebrity pastor, Eli Gemstone (John Goodman), and his family—a greedy and very corrupt bunch of people—comes across as a mockery of Christians, despite the showrunner's attempts to claim it's not.

A four-star general, who has been accused without evidence of sexual assault, repeatedly implored the accuser to get mental health help months before she began her campaign against him and other top brass in the office. After fourteen years of being lulled by propagandists into believing that their boycott, divestment, and sanctions campaign (BDS) is a human rights movement, we’re finally waking up to the deception.
The U.S. House last month overwhelmingly passed a bill opposing BDS efforts to target and delegitimize the State of Israel. Last February, the Senate passed a bill, never taken up by the House, legalizing the right of state governments and employee benefit plans to refuse to do business with companies boycotting Israel, thereby protecting the 27 states with anti-BDS legislation. Concerned about BDS similarity to Nazi boycotts and incitement of anti-Semitism becoming “the breeding ground for escalations to violence,

New British Prime Minister Boris Johnson now has the Brexit headache squarely in front of him. Parliament is currently in recess until early September, with the October 31 deadline for an EU-UK deal appearing to be more elusive than ever.
Johnson will meet with European leaders next week, trying to convince them to negotiate a new exit for Great Britain. But the two leaders who count the most -- Angela Merkel of Germany and Emmanuel Macron of France -- don't feel any pressure to bail Johnson out. This means that a "no-deal Brexit" scenario is likely to occur.
Johnson ordered a study of the possible effects of a no-deal Brexit,

Joe Biden, 76, has been getting heaps of attention for his verbal gaffes. Alas, voters should worry about a far bigger problem: It’s impossible to know what he stands for.
Yes, some of his slip-ups can be head-scratching. Democrats choose “truth over facts,” he said. Huh? The kids from the Parkland high-school shooting — which happened after he left office — “came to see me when I was vice president.”
He lamented “the tragic events in Houston” and “Michigan” rather than El Paso and Dayton. He warned against giving President Trump “eight more years” and told backers to “go to Joe 30330,” instead of texting him. And that’s just recently.

Often the vulnerability of a politician is reflected by the desperate caliber of their spin. When a campaign can’t even put together a convincing case with cherry-picked evidence, it’s easy to conclude that their argument doesn’t pass the smell test.
Elizabeth Warren, trying to deflect widespread worries that she’d be the Democratic Party’s riskiest best to take on President Trump, is the latest example of a candidate without a plan to address her biggest problem.
In a New York Times story on the subject, Warren’s campaign offered two arguments as to why she’d be a formidable challenger against Trump. Her team has pointed to her hotly contested victory

The time has come to have a national dialogue regarding the police of our nation and why a growing number of our fellow citizens seem to view them as the enemy.
Dangerous lines are being crossed, lives are being lost, and needed authority and protections are being weakened.
