Israeli security company reportedly has

An Israeli cybersecurity company has developed spyware that can scrape data from the servers of Apple, Google, Facebook, Amazon and Microsoft products, according to The Financial Times. The report says NSO Group’s proprietary smartphone malware, Pegasus, harvests not only data stored on a device, but also any information stored in the cloud, including a user’s location data, archived messages and photos. NSO Group, who previously installed malware in Facebook’s WhatsApp, denied that it markets software capable of capturing data in the cloud. It’s unclear if it has developed the tools internally.

My "baby boomer" generation was promised that everything in the future would be built around our own individual social security number. (I even found an old airline credit card for flying had my SS# as my identification to doing business with them.) Now, move forward, and now we have been told for years to protect that number, especially against identity theft. It is clear that future generations will be forced into being exposed to the large software behemoths that will control data transfer.

Doggone return key....If you trust ANYTHING to the 'cloud' you are a fool...that includes password managers and the like...if man can build it, man can hack it....you want security, back up your data to a separate drive and when you are done, DISCONNECT it....

#8, Sergeant Major, you NAILED it! This 'DOD Warcloud' is the doorway to DISASTER! The Chinese (along with everyone else in the business) is setting up the organization and hiring computer jockies to hack into the development teams (much less waiting for the 'Warcloud' to get into service) as soon as they find out who won the US Government contract. Every major database has been hacked. Why should this one be any different? But, the Alfred E. Newmans in the Government smile and say .... "What, Me Worry?"

The Trump administration has ruled that gun shops are considered “essential” businesses that should remain open as other businesses are closed to try to stop the spread of coronavirus. Gun control groups are balking, calling it a policy that puts profits over public health after intense lobbying by the firearms industry. (Snip) After days of lobbying by the National Rifle Association, the National Shooting Sports Foundation and other gun groups, the Department of Homeland Security this past weekend issued an advisory declaring that firearms dealers should be considered essential services — just like grocery stores, pharmacies and hospitals — and allowed to remain open.

Washington DC - A Washington-based lawyer Larry Klayman has filed a USD 20 trillion lawsuit against China for the “creation and the release of the novel coronavirus” that has infected more than 334,000 people globally. Italian engineers are making ventilators out of diving masks and fitting them with 3D-printed respiratory valves in an inventive plan to keep hospitals supplied at the height of the coronavirus crisis. A Brescia-based startup firm has offered the contraptions for free to local hospitals in the region of Lombardy which is at the centre of Europe's worst virus outbreak. The crucial part of the equipment is the 3D-printed 'Venturi valve', a device named after 18th-century physicist Giovanni Battista Venturi which connects the mask to an oxygen tube. The company is gearing up to make 100 of the chess piece-like valves per day and hand them out to medics

WASHINGTON — Two weeks after celebrating America’s near “independence” from the coronavirus, President Joe Biden is confronting the worrying reality of rising cases and deaths — and the limitations of his ability to combat the persistent vaccine hesitance responsible for the summer backslide. Cases of COVID-19 have tripled over the past three weeks, and hospitalizations and deaths are rising among unvaccinated people. While the rates are still sharply down from their January highs, officials are concerned by the reversing trendlines and what they consider needless illness and death. And cases are expected to continue to rise in coming weeks.

Legislation the House passed this month is the biggest advance yet in Democrats' efforts to bake climate policies into transportation, addressing the largest single contributor to the United States’ greenhouse gas output. It would also represent an historic shift away from the roads-first approach to federal transportation spending that has reigned since Dwight Eisenhower created the Interstate Highway System.
