AOC calls Nancy Pelosi ‘outright disrespectful’

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez continued her war of words with Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday night, calling the Speaker of the House “outright disrespectful” for criticizing women of color. The Bronx Democrat was reacting to Pelosi’s repeated attempts at reigning in some of the more left-wing members of her caucus and chastising the freshman reps for tweeting too much. “When these comments first started, I kind of thought that she was keeping the progressive flank at more of an arm’s distance in order to protect more moderate members, which I understood,” Ocasio-Cortez told the Washington Post.

Pelosi told her no - probably the first time in her life. AOC stomps her feet, lays in the floor and cries.

The term “xxx of color” encompasses everywhere but European whites, and as such is inherently discriminatory toward white people.

The Dems, including Pelosi, have been pandering to non-white voters for decades; they have tried to shame white voters into supporting this or that cause and/or bill based upon race and ethnicity. (I suppose you could say that of many pols, regardless of their political leanings.) Here is an instance in which Pelosi is experiencing the negative effects of such pandering. Is Pelosi criticizing AOC for being a Latina? Nope. Is Pelosi trying to discipline AOC and her pals because they are minorities? Nope. Pelosi is merely trying to keep their mouths in check. Pelosi would like to be Speaker of the House again. She has a sense of how much craziness the American electorate will tolerate. She believes AOC and her gal pals often go beyond acceptable limits of craziness. So it isn't about race or minority status, it is about character and behavior and beliefs. I believe MLK would agree with that. And that has been the basic vantage from which conservatives operate most of the time. AOC and her pals are brats. Brats. And I am tired of their antics.

AT&T is the first mobile service provider that will automatically block robocalls for its customers. The free service comes after the Federal Communications Commission ruled in June that phone service providers can offer call-blocking options for customers who choose to be part of the service. The AT&T service will try to block the unwanted calls and notify customers when it might be a robocall, according to the company. The service is available on all new lines and will be added to existing lines “over the coming months.” Customers will get a text message when the service is added. Word is spreading worldwide, even to sub-Saharan Africa, that the US has an open southern border and an open checkbook. This summer, thousands of Africans from Cameroon, Congo and other violence-plagued countries are forming caravans, preparing to cross our southern border, according to Customs and Border Protection reports. Border agents from the Del Rio area of Texas sounded the alarm on May 31 about a group of 116 African migrants. The agents provided photos of women with babies strapped to their backs and young men in T-shirts and gym shorts sitting on the US side of the Rio Grande, waiting to be arrested.

Biracial rapper Tiny Jag was so “enraged” she publicly withdrew from performing, and ticketing website Eventbrite threatened to bar the festival from its services, according to the Independent.

As contrived for the apparent purpose of embarrassing Joe Biden, Kamala Harris’ handwringer over racial-balance busing duly titillated the media. Who could suppose there was anything wrong with shipping children miles from their homes to satisfy what a federal judge said was the moral necessity of achieving a classroom mixture of black faces and white faces? And Biden had fought it at the federal level? The Homeric narrative thus organized itself around Sen. Harris’ account of “a little girl in California who was part of the second class to integrate her public schools, and she was bused to school every day. And that little girl was me.”

Because the mural is painted directly onto the building’s walls, the mural must be covered and cannot be removed.
