Home Depot shoppers have been threatening to boycott the store after its co-founder, Bernie Marcus, revealed in a recent interview that he’d be donating to President Trump’s re-election bid. “Never shopping @HomeDepot again,” wrote one Twitter user. “Cutting up my card,” another said. Marcus, who retired from Home Depot in 2002, has been a vocal Trump supporter in the past — despite not always agreeing with him. “He’s got a businessman’s common sense approach to most things,” Marcus told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution in a recent interview, which has been making the rounds on social media.

Are these liberals to dumb to understand that where they shop doesn't effect a 90 year old man with 6+ billion dollars in the least?

Not in Georgia, HD is their home base -and not much boycotting will happen in the South, just like Chick-a-file, their politics or religion is not why people buy their product. Has this every worked?

Go ahead and vote with your feet. I'm okay with that. But somehow I don't think many leftist liberal Dems are shopping there anyway. The boycott against Chick-fil-a has been SOOO effective there are now two drive up lanes in my hometown.

I usually go to Lowes, because it is closer. But now I am going to go more often to Home Depot.

I don’t see very many pajama boys in HD when I’m in there. I am a very happy HD shareholder and may buy more shares on this threat.

I wouldn't worry too much about liberal shoppers who take their meals at the Little Red Hen restaurant there's not that many of them. This should get the business booming even more.

I would be willing to bet that 98% of the men calling for this boycott are such lie-beral girly-men that they wouldn't know which end of a hammer to hold -- and have never shopped at a Home Depot!!!

Wow! One more reason to shop at Home Depot.
I wouldn't worry about the liberal snobs. They either buy houses, or pay some schmuck to do the work, and won't bother to insist said schmuck buy elsewhere. Otherwise they look for free handout.
They literally arent part of the population who shops at Home Depot. Hands-on people tend to be conservative.

I make it a POINT to go to HD first BECAUSE the founder is a really good guy and Trump supporter.
My bet is that of folks who actually do home maintenace, a far higher percentage support the President than do not. The whiner class can't tell a phillips screwdriver from a centerpunch, and the only thing they might do in a HD is buy sum tile and ask for a contractor to install it.

Most liberals think a screwdriver is something you order at a bar. I seriously doubt that the few anti-Trump that actually shop at Home Depot will make much of a difference in their bottom line, compared to the multitudes that support him.

HD and Lowes are the two largest building supply stores in the Seattle area. Lowes is tottering on going broke.

Apparently those who protest have never seen him or his co-founder on the financial news. They are very down to earth, hardworking American businessmen.

In 2017 we renovated a circa 1900 farm house in order to put it on the market. All of it was done through HD, some of the work was contracted out to companies which work with HD and all of the supplies were from HD. Besides their helpful staff, their amazing stock and their design department, one other thing I love about the store is that they welcome dogs.

The left has conveniently forgotten that HD was one of the first big businesses to offer benefits for the same sex relationship people. I guess they have to toe the line for all aspects of the left, or they can't get any kind of break. Just one more example of the intolerant "tolerant" left.

HD has offered 10% military discount for years by showing ID card, but Lowe's wants your DD214 & for you to register your info online to be allowed the same courtesy. Lowe's has been off my list since!

When we experience a disaster down here in the Deep South, Home Depots are some of the 1st to offer help. Maybe these few SJWs could register, so HD won't waste time on them when disaster strikes.

Ha, all of the libs I know can’t hold a hammer much less know the difference between a flat head and a Phillips head screw driver! None of them can do anything for themselves—thus their penchant for illegal alien labor! Morons. They don’t shop a Home Depot!

Same here, #28, regarding dogs. I used to bring my German Shepherd in the store, she's just too elderly now. Now I sit in the car with her when hubby goes in for whatever.

HD shouoldn't worry much. Most liberals don't know which end of a butter knife to use to hang a picture. Anytime of day there are dozens of contractors in my nearby HD because business is booming for them.
