Swoosh! Nike, the big shoemaker, seems to have a new boss. For America’s Independence Day, Nike released a new sneaker shoe style with the image of the early U.S. flag stitched by the notorious revolutionary Betsy Ross. It had the familiar red and white stripes and 13 stars in a circle for the original colonies. Apparently, sales were going well until noted kneeler Colin Kaepernick objected because, well, some of the 13 colonies had slaves at the time and we shouldn’t be knowing that in this Woke era. Naturally, the mega-company with $36 billion in annual shoe and

I thought he was taking a knee to protest police brutality---did he forget this? Now he gets to ban things he doesn't like just because he is the Kaepernick?

What a hateful, disgusting person he is.
And I will NEVER buy any Nikes again. I have a couple of pairs, but that is the end. Rotten
hateful company, too.

Can't help but think about the flag being raised over Mt Suribachi during the battle of Iwo Jima. Battled hardened Marines had tears in their eyes upon seeing the stars and stripes. Now some cowardly corporate paper shuffler melts in fear over Kaepernick's demands.

Won't be long before our flag will be condemned and we will be forbidden to fly it as it's a symbol of racism.

Trivia: Betsy Ross was a Quaker and thus an abolitionist.

Colin Kaperquack should be hired by the XFL to be their new practice tackling dummy for that is about all he is good for. He is a worthless player, and a useless piece of human detritus as well. If you don't like it in our country, go move to Indonesia or an other muslim nation of your choice. Don't forget your nasty girlfriend either.

Why does Kaepernick have veto power over products at Nike? Did these shoes have his name on them? If so, knowing Kaepernick's past, why did Nike put an American flag on them?

If you don’t like the anti-American position that Nike has decided to take the answer is simple. Just do not purchase Nike products.

Nike would be smarter if they would cut ties with Kaepernick and continue with the shoe. Since when does this guy with the "electrified" hair dictate to a manufacturer what they sell to the public who wants their product? This move may effect their all around sales.
Time for a boycott against Nike till they get the message that the shoes are bought by true proud Americans. We will not "take a knee" to our flag in any form!

Nike doesn't want to alienate the ghetto-banger market, it has that brand/consumer stereotype for me. I tend to shy away from products that seem to me to have an ethnic preference, just as I would imagine the reverse is true.

If nike thinks anyone buys their products because of colin, they are nuts. If anything he drives people away. Just plain stupid to use him.
