A federal judge on Friday issued a ruling blocking the Trump administration from tapping billions of dollars in military funds to construct a wall on the United States's southern border.
U.S. District Judge Haywood Gilliam issued the permanent injunction in a California federal court, after initially ruling last month to temporarily halt the administration’s use of military funds for the border wall.

The perverted logic of liberals - you can't use the military to protect the border. The very purpose of having a military is to protect the borders.

On what authority does the judiciary control a strictly executive function? Build it anyway. Tell these communists to kiss off. This has been old for a long time and it is becoming literally intolerable.

#2 is absolutely correct. Ignore the judge. There is recent precedent - Smidgen ignored the judge who ordered him to end the ban on deep water drilling in the Gulf of Mexico back in 2009.

Here we go again. Leftist judges block then the President has to go through a process that takes months and years to get resolved. Judges rule.
Ignore them. Block them. Flip the script on them. Put them through a process that takes years for their blocks to be put in place. We're getting tired of our side losing by obeying laws that are to the advantage of leftists. When they have power, they simply ignore the process, the law and do exactly what they want.

Why have a President if these little black robed tyrants are going to prevent him from making any decision he makes that goes against their agenda. I am thoroughly sick of this judicial activism. It is anathema to the will of the people. If the President ignores this decision, the demented dems will impeach him. 2020 cannot get here soon enough. Democrats are destroying this nation in the biggest fit of pique we have ever seen. Clearly, they have gone off the rails and intend to obstruct anything that benefits this country. If I am livid about judicial activism, I can only imagine how the President feels. The democrats have declared war while most Republicans won’t even acknowledge that the President, his administration and his supporters are being viciously attacked every single day. When is enough, enough? The only thing preventing the dems and their shadow government from forcefully taking over is the massive support that they know he has from the American people. We must once and for all put these anti-Americans fools in their place. KAG 2020.

If you read the Article, posted on Ldot a few days ago by Sundance, this is exactly the plan to stop Trump from getting anything done. Every single time he does anything, some JUDGE issues a ruling to stop him. I agree with the above Posters. DO NOT STOP! Those federal judges should not be able to run the country. If they want to do that, THEY should run for President. Enough! Ignore them!

Yes, a less-than-worthless creep judge, appointed by the even more despicable Manchurian Candidate, Ovomit. So we can expect vile performance, and all criticism is merited.
But insofar as the usual exhortations to "Voye Republican!" are concerned, I remind all that this illegitimate pile of "aromatic organic fertilizer of bovine origin" , having been nominated by Ovomit, had that lifetime appointment confirmed in 2014 by VOICE VOTE!!! Yes, not one single member of the Rethuglican Party had the courage, integrity, or honor to register any opposition or doubt, not one. Making them equally worthy of contempt and condemnation. To Gehenna with the entire bunch! TWANLOC, all of them.

This is leftist tyranny.
Impeach the judge for dereliction of duty. He is not protecting the country. Trump should ignore the judge because he is clearly not doing his job, and continue building the wall.

Might as well be the constable of Jerkwater, Arkansas making this ruling. Absurd for one judge to think he can usurp Presidential authority. Wanted his name in the news, I guess.

I would think it is time for the Judicial Conference of the United States, that has the principal objective of framing policy guidelines for administration of judicial courts in the United States, should be looking at this. Judicial interference with Presidential decisions should be more carefully reasoned and decided at a higher level than a circuit court. A policy that any circuit decision of this type should be automatically stayed for SCOTUS review within, say, 3 months. Only with SCOTUS agreement could such a circuit decision be executed, otherwise the decision would be entered but stayed until the SCOTUS decides the case.

Every time I read about a judge ruling against Trump I do a search and find that the judge is an African-American or a Latino or a woman.
It is obvious that the minorities in the USA are on a mission to punish caucasians for all of their 'sins' against them. The victim status that they have adopted is now the Democrat party.
Every single one of these judges is biased and should be replaced with a judge that will follow the law not their biases.

The main problem with each of these delays is that the illegal immigration problem is quickly becoming irreversible. Once they are here and embedded in their friends' and relatives' homes, identification and deportation becomes a years-long job. They will have more than ample time to produce anchor babies and make it even more difficult.

The Federal Law makes NO SENSE. If the U.S. is attacked, our military cannot defend us ?
And we ARE being attacked by all the illegal alien criminals crossing over the border.

If the DOJ cannot stop this abuse of judicial power, then maybe Trump needs to give these judges what they seem to want. Give it to them good and hard. Put the illegals in the neighborhoods of the judges, and let the chips fall where they may. They talk big, but when it comes to standing by the talk, they collapse like a broken umbrella.

Judge Gilliam issues a ruling based on his feelings, citing no law, or interpretation of the law for his ruling. This is absolute nonsense, total incompetence, and abject corruption on the part of the judge. The law does not matter to the leftists, only what they want. Leftist law is the rule of leftists' feelings, not of laws passed by elected representatives of the people.

To whom do these Federal Judges report?? When will they be told their boundaries? No sitting Federal District Judge can stop a President of the United States! Imagine a Federal District Judge refusing to allow President Roosevelt from going to War with Japan? This Judge needs to be impeached and removed from the bench.

How many infantry Divisions does this 'Judge' command? Does he have Armor, Artillery, Warplanes?
Just ignore these black-robed judiciarchs like 0bama did, with impunity, every time some Bush appointed Judge ruled against one of his schemes; without even a negative word in the press.
Sometimes I wish conservatives had a little less respect for 'the law' and a little more desire for justice.

The judge is not "blocking" the president from using military funds for a border wall; the president is allowing his fear of potential adverse political ramifications to override his stated objectives on a number of his border protection proposals. Maybe he is right to allow this but following along with the democrats game plan may have its own adverse political ramifications.

This was obviously coming. It's another attempt to push Trump into committing an impeachable act by ignoring the ruling and spending the money. Has nothing to do with border (in)security.

Anytime a federal district judge, there are over 600 of them across the country, issues a permanent injunction against the President of the USA, especially relating to a Presidential national emergency declaration regarding national security, the matter should immediately be taken up by the US Supreme Court in emergency session.

When did the judiciary become more equal than the other equal branches? What happens if the executive simply ignores judicial overreaches?
