A Democratic candidate for Florida’s House reportedly has ended her campaign after being challenged on her detailed and graphic claims she treated victims of the 2016 Pulse nightclub shooting. “I personally removed 77 bullets from 32 people … It was like an assembly line,” candidate Elizabeth McCarthy had claimed at a gun safety event earlier this year. But FloridaPolitics.com published a report earlier this month challenging her claims she worked as a cardiologist at Orlando Regional Medical Center. The report listed the following discrepancies: the Florida Department of Health did not have a record of her being a licensed doctor; the parent company of the

It has become painfully obvious that leftists are incapable of learning from their mistakes. McCarthy should have learned something from the Fauxcahontas DNA debacle. IOW, don’t lie. The internet will find the truth about you.

Really? How could anyone imagine that they could claim that they were a cardiologist who assisted in treating the victims of a fairly recent incident, ever imagine that she would NOT be found out? How delusional do you have to be? Then again, Dems are always believed no matter how outrageous the claim. It took another entity to dig up the truth?

Just an observation from my military medic days. When someone is shot, you stablize first, before surgical removal of the bullet is done. (If it has hit an artery, you do both at once.)
She made up a story, twice over, but so did Gillum, and so did Stacey Abrams. It seems to work more often than not.
Proof of that is the stolen valor Senator, Tom Harkin, as well as stolen valor Senator Blumenthal.

The shooter was using an AR-15 rifle. Most of the ammunition used for those is military specification, and has bullets which the great majority of the time will penetrate all the way through and exit unless it hits a bone. So even with 77 wounds, it is extremely unlikely that there were that many bullets still inside of people. Way too much time watching old westerns where 'digging out the bullet' was a critical (and equally
phony then) plot device. Most rifle bullets will penetrate completely in and out. Handguns, maybe 50-50 because they are much less powerful.
The key point for medical professionals in emergencies such as in that situation is to stop bleeding to save a life, as #12 says. Fooling around trying find an inert, spent, now harmless bullet, and likely causing more bleeding by poking and prying, and wasting time on not stopping serious bleeding sounds very unrealistic to me.
I have to agree with #11's assessment, too.

I don't know. This hospital has already had one person who was not a doctor working in ER. Kissimmee had another one.
So many liars today. Missed a bullet with this one dropping out.

Not enough chlorine in the Democrat gene pool. Vietnam vet, landing under fire, Native American, now a cardiologist who removed bullets from Pulse victims. When I grow up, I want to run for Congress as the first man on the moon.
