Christianity is under siege in America

Original Article

In this great country, it's not a crime to be a Christian — at least not yet. But the Left is working on it. Free expression of religion is not just shunned. It is ridiculed and mocked. Anti-Christian bigotry is the only form of acceptable intolerance remaining in this country — to be encouraged and incited by our "tolerant" liberal friends in academia, the media, and entertainment. Christian principles were foundational to the American Republic. Yet what matters to the Left is silencing the Christian influence of this nation.

Christianity has been under siege since Peter’s sermon after the Resurrection and Ascension. Only in brief moments in history had it had a respite from persecution. Our current respite is coming to an end. The times are evil.

Christianity will be around long after America is a memory like Rome or the pyramids.

I'm not worried about it. It was all predicted, and I read the ending. Paraphrasing: " "They will hate you, as they hated Me."

Fifteen years ago I did Confirmation Prep for the high schoolers. We held mock trials with the kids charged as being Christian. The desired outcome was to be found guilty. At the time I thought it was a spiritual exercise, instead it was real-world preparation. I must admit I do find it rather exciting to be living in a time of Christian persecution. Even as a child I was transfixed by the stories of the early martyrs, and a bit disappointed I lived in "modern" times. I wanted a chance to show God how much I loved Him. Now, that opportunity is here. I try to live my Christian faith as fully as I can with every person I encounter, and to be the person God created me to be; a sharp instrument ready for His Hand. Times of persecution separate the wheat from the chaff, the fervent from the lukewarm. It is in weakness that we are strong. The Cross is still a stumbling block for the worldly, but Love and Redemption for the members of the Kingdom of God. AMDG

Maybe it's time for Christians to begin fighting back at every level like the Muslims. Start cutting off liberal's heads, burning cars, stabbing them, burning their homes. That seems to be the only way they will leave us alone.

Elect anyone from the Death Party and we'll soon have a country where the only approved religion is Islam.

Actually is is illegal to refuse to pretend that a man can marry a man, to give water or food to certain poor people, to visit many prisoners etc. so sorry dude but Christianity is explicitly illegal in the USA today. BTW there is no question that the Apostles would have refused to say "Mayor Pete and his husband" just like they refused to say that Caesar is a god.

fta: "The battle to destroy Christianity is really the battle to destroy America. The intolerant Left is replacing the structure of an orderly and benevolent norm with falsehoods, distortions, intimidation, and violence. Unfortunately, traditional American Christians have been on the losing end of the culture war for a long time" This cultural battle has been ongoing and for those of us who believe prophecy, it will get worse in time. Dr. James Dobson has been a stalwart in the effort to honor and respect life and the family and the traditional Judeo-Christian values our nation was founded upon has been saying that our norms and institutions would be attacked and mocked for decades. The 2016 national election demographics and the unprincipled rush to socialism that is made to seem so popular by the media is not the TRUE picture of life as we have known it, but as the Greatest Generation's influence upon our daily lives fades, so does the large numbers of people who will call out the ridiculous and maddening agenda of the demonrat socialists who seem to oppose the things that make this a great country at almost every turn. Are we seeing the 1930's being repeated with Christians taking the place of the Jewish people being blamed by those who seek power and those afraid to stand up to the bullying on the behalf of others?

With the arrival of summer, clergy at our synagogue have declared the beginning of "casual Shabbat." Until autumn, we are invited to attend services in casual attire, or coats and tie if we prefer. This is not uncommon at liberal congregations. Just come, they say. I find the practice distasteful. Here's why: First, we dress formally, in coat and tie, out of respect.

Just like in 2016, President Trump appears ready to make Hillary Clinton’s deleted emails an election issue in 2020. “Just compare how they came after us for three years, with everything they have, versus the free pass they gave to Hillary and her aides after they set up an illegal server, destroyed evidence, deleted and acid-washed 33,000 emails, exposed classified information,” Trump told a raucous crowd in Orlando on Tuesday night. “Thirty-three thousand emails! But let’s see what happens.”

If hypocrisy equals people, Democrats in Washington are China. The latest example of such bold duplicity by the Democratic Party is the secret "A-list" of potential Supreme Court (SCOTUS) judges Democrats refuse to reveal while they turn blue on Capitol Hill screaming for more transparency from the Trump administration. Democrat leaders and activists working for Alliance for Justice are keeping their SCOTUS list under lock and key. Why? What do Democrats want to hide? Perhaps it's the fact that this list of potential justices for SCOTUS contains the names of the most liberal, activist judges in the land?

Dear big-name, successful conservative media figures: you hold the power to defeat online censorship. With Google's recent demonetizing of commentator Steven Crowder's YouTube channel, the question of how to take on the Big Tech Industrial Complex has been resurrected. Perhaps, however, we on the America First/Republican/conservative/true liberal side, bound by our unwavering love of the right to free speech, irrespective of how loathsome the speech may be, are going about this the wrong way. I always make mention of the DMIC (Democrat Media Industrial Complex). There's also a CMIC (Conservative Media Industrial Complex). The CMIC has gained strength thanks in large part to the internet.

Turning around in Walmart, I saw a large exhibit of Listerine mouthwash. The exhibit was covered in rainbows stating that it was in celebration of LGBTQ (and other alphabets that I can't remember) pride. The wording on the exhibit preached to us about love, respect and anti-bigotry. Why is Johnson & Johnson which owns Listerine making a big deal about portraying perverted lifestyles engaged in by less than 3% of the population as something beautiful and crucially important?

Much as with the border invasion, Senate GOP leaders Mitch McConnell and John Cornyn don’t believe our unprecedented spending is a problem. They only perk up when the Trump administration tries to combat either of those problems. Then, they say they care about the problem but just oppose the administration’s solution, of course, without offering their own. In just the first eight months of this fiscal year, our government has spent $3 trillion. That is $255 billion more than at this time last year and nearly half a trillion more than during the first eight months of FY 2016.

It so happens that the issue that launched the recent fracas on the American Right is in my own dispiriting beat: the effects of gender-identity policies on children. Disputes about “strategy” aside, conservatives can all agree that a culture that permits the sexualization and sterilization of children’s bodies is a rotten one. As I’ve written before, there are plenty of people on the left who think so too. Take the case of “Desmond is Amazing,” the toxic brand created for eleven-year-old Desmond Napoles: a “drag kid,” a fashion model, and a global LGBT icon.

It was heartbreaking to watch as my husband shed his suit jacket, tie and belt, was shackled hand-and-foot, and led out of the U.S. District Court in Houston on April 12 last year.

Donald Trump is in Orlando to announce the kickoff of his re-election campaign. We’re here to announce our endorsement for president in 2020, or, at least, who we’re not endorsing: Donald Trump. Some readers will wonder how we could possibly eliminate a candidate so far before an election, and before knowing the identity of his opponent. Because there’s no point pretending we would ever recommend that readers vote for Trump. After 2½ years we’ve seen enough.

It’s striking how quickly the culture can change. Just a short time ago, surely few would’ve believed that a common viewpoint — that it would be unfair to let guys take away athletic victories from girls by allowing them to compete in women’s sports — would be labeled the result of an irrational fear. Yet here we are: What was considered common sense and common goodness is now a symptom of mental illness. “Transphobia” has gotten so much traction, in fact, that Brazil just criminalized it — it’s punishable by a half decade in prison.

Why haven't efforts to impeach President Trump gained Watergate-style momentum? The lack of energy has created a sense of bafflement and disappointment among some of the president's most determined adversaries. But there are some simple reasons for it. Here are three: 1.) The facts are different. In Watergate, the underlying crime was a break-in at Democratic National Committee headquarters, perpetrated by burglars paid by President Richard Nixon's reelection campaign. The scandal proceeded from there. In Trump-Russia, the underlying crime was the hacking of the DNC's and John Podesta's emails — a crime committed by Russians in Russia.
