While you were sleeping, the Democrats (abetted by some deviant Republicans) have been working on a plan that would destroy the diversity of the American political system and bring the nation to the brink of civil war. The plan is called The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, and tens of millions of dollars have already been spent over several decades trying to implement it. Fourteen blue states and the District of Columbia have already joined the Compact, which means they are 70% on the way to making their proposal the law of the land.

Comments:

As Mr. Horowitz points out, retention of the Electoral College is of paramount importance at this point in time with the nation being divided in a way not seen since the Civil War, compounded by “an out-of-touch and increasingly out-of-control Democratic Party to undermine the constitutional foundations of the nation, push a divisive agenda and move the nation towards a one-party state.”

So, Exactly WHO are the Republicans involved in this? We should know so that we can Primary them. Also, there has to be a way to stop this evil idea. The Democrats are certainly desperate to win the next election, any way they can!

Sorry, won't work, don't worry. Article 10 (not 10th amendment) says that individual states of the United States of America can NOT enter into agreements with each other (for example, the confederacy) without federal approval. This would not last 10 seconds in the supreme court. On the other hand, what the individual electors do might pass muster. That's the scary bit given today's lack of integrity.

Make no mistake about it: The Democrats are shooting for one-party rule in this country. Everything they have done, everything they are doing now, and everything they have considered doing has one objective, and that is total control of all of our institutions. This includes the Interstate Compact, statehood for DC and Puerto Rico, voting rights for prisoners, HR 1, the Motor Voter Act, ballot harvesting, packing the Supreme Court etc. They are in the process of taking total control of our healthcare via Mediocare for All. the Green New Deal aims to give them control of transportation, and even the food we eat. I am very concerned about the future of this country.

The last Republican Presidential Candidate to win the popular vote was George W. Bush in 2000. This is a serious threat and is very serious.

Someone needs to get a state to pass this law without the caveat that it does not go into effect until enough states pass it to swing the Electoral College so that it can be taken to court and its constitutionality ruled on before it actually makes a difference.

The Trump administration is ending medical research by government scientists using human fetal tissue, a victory for abortion foes. At least one university's government funding will be terminated, effective immediately, although officials suggested that other research may allowed to continue under intense scrutiny. The policy change will not affect privately funded research that used human fetal tissue. Ending the use of fetal tissue by the government is a victory for anti-abortion activists, part of President Donald Trump's political base, as well as for his Vice President, Mike Pence, who has called the sale and use of fetal tissue 'horrific.'

RUSH: Speaking of Hillary Clinton, folks, we had this piece yesterday from the Federalist by Mr. H. A. Goodman, and it was one of those pieces that you read it, and you say, “Yeah, yeah.” You know it all, but you get kind of frustrated that you didn’t think of it all yourself. His point basically was (without rehashing the whole thing) that every bit of everything we know or think we know--every news item, every little bit of information that fed this narrative the past two years or three now, that Trump colluded with Russia--came not from American intelligence, not from British intelligence. It didn’t come from FBI intelligence.

The 2020 election is lurching toward us like a malfunctioning robot, and I think we must ask ourselves: Can we risk nominating a man for president? Men selected as major-party nominees for president have failed to win the popular vote 50 percent of the time. Contrast that to the 100 percent of the time that a female nominee for president has won the popular vote. More importantly, are Americans ready to withstand another four years of male presidency? It is unpleasant to traffic in stereotypes, and many men are in no way like this, but recent experience teaches that for usually 31 days a month (sometimes 30, occasionally 28),

The insurer that covers Oberlin College for liability, Lexington Insurance Company, filed documents with court last month indicating that its umbrella liability policy would not cover costs of any judgment for the plaintiffs. That means that if, after the appeals process has run its course, the plaintiffs move to collect the $11 million a jury just awarded them (plus whatever punitive damages – up to $22 more – are awarded next week), Lexington likely won’t pay and Oberlin would have to sue for reimbursement.
