In the days since the House Judiciary Committee voted to hold Attorney General Bill Barr in contempt of Congress, more and more Democratic lawmakers have opened the door to the possibility of arresting the Justice Department leader in a bid to force cooperation--despite party powerbrokers signaling opposition to such a radical step.(Snip) But there´s a more drastic step that has been gaining traction among some of Barr´s fiercest critics--the possibility of dragging Barr in to testify or jailing the AG for defying the subpoena.(Snip) “We know how to arrest people around here,” Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., told Politico.

The adolescent responses to thwarting identify the Democrat Party. Come on, America! This is totally beneath us... we are better than this absurdity. Do we really, truly want to become Venezuela??

Congress´ authority is limited to legislatively serious matters. This is frivolous and should have no standing in front of a court. Besides if the Ag is covered by a Presidential claim of executive privilege, they are powerless.

This is what they do. They play trivial games and accuse the opposition of what they do so that when it goes the other way we all assume these are just political games.
The pretend accusations of treason, violations of the Logan act, obstruction of justice all become white noise providing cover for very real treason, violations of the Logan act and obstruction of justice.
Their political grandstanding offsets real accountability for real criminal behavior.
In reality there´s no comparison.

Once again, there are literally hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of people who are potential jury participants who are now being shown as not being rationale, or able to set aside their biases to listen to the facts and render a verdict.
Just extrapolate this across our jurisprudence system, and how it may affect jury trials in the future.
Lawyers are going to have a field day in vior dire process.

What would happen if the congressional leftist Democrats physically arrested AG Barr and threw him in jail upon which time Trump pardoned Barr?
It not going to happen because Barr and the DOJ have much more street muscle then the Congressional leftist Democrats.

So, are they planning on yanking him out from behind his desk or invading his sleep at 4am in the morning with their guns drawn and the press in attendance? Maybe they should ask the press which senario they like best.
Can we have some barking snarling dogs ready to plunge.. maybe a water cannon if they are doing it at Mr. B´s home? Can we have a stage director and ominous music at the scene?
How long must we wait for all the excitement? Idiots!

That darling and hilarious little eight year old girl who does the AOC parody should form a group of talented young friends and take advantage of all of this abject ignorance on display by congressional dems. What a show that would be! No shortage of material.

Go ahead and arrest him. I just hope that there is a ton of press there and in the court room when Barr´s attorney points out that h was arrested for not breaking the law and that the fully unredacted Mueller report was available for the Democrats to view, they just chose not to. Hopefully the judge would immediately admonish the Democrat attorney and dismiss any charges.

#22, I can see where it cuts the other way. Since, a jury must be empanelled and since the whole country has been stained by this then one place is as good as another to try them and fry them - they will face the same bias everywhere, they cancel each other out.

Is there no level too low for these people to sink to? Attacking an AG for simply and actually doing his job? Repulsive and nasty behavior that hopefully next November 2020 will explode in their faces. The American public has long loathed democrat tantrums, and democrats attacking what is working in the Country´s interests. We don´t riot like spoiled brats, we deal with them at the ballot box.
