There are many reasons most journalists and other Democrats have focused on additional witch hunts on President Trump, and why they seek to destroy AG Barr -- while they lie to the public that they are trying to unite us. Here is a small sample of topics they need the voting public to ignore or not hear about: They don’t want to talk about their continuous lie about Russian collusion with no evidence while Trump told the truth from the start. They don’t want to admit that the Obama administration spied illegally many Americans including Trump. They laughed at Trump

TALLAHASSEE — Seeking to carry out a November constitutional amendment, the Florida Senate on Thursday passed a measure that would require repayment of financial obligations before felons’ voting rights could be restored. It’s an issue that’s been a sticking point as lawmakers grappled with one of this year’s most controversial pieces of legislation. The Senate spent about two hours in an emotional debate on the measure before voting strictly along party lines and sending the proposal to the House for consideration Friday, the final day it can pass before the legislative session ends. The constitutional amendment granted restoration of voting rights

ST. PETERSBURG — The Rev. Andy Oliver of Allendale United Methodist Church has made no secret of the fact that he is willing to perform same-sex marriages. In February, when his denomination voted against a proposal to let regional church bodies decide whether to ordain gay and lesbian people in relationships, allow clergy to officiate at same-sex marriages and hold such ceremonies in a church, his congregation took out a full-page newspaper ad to apologize for the decision. His church website announces that it provides "an altar for all" and is committed "to support and celebrate same-sex marriages." Now Oliver may be

Seoul - The top diplomats of South Korea and the United States agreed Saturday to "prudently" handle North Korea´s launch of short-range projectiles during their telephone talks, Seoul´s foreign ministry said. Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha and U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo spoke by phone hours after the North fired the projectiles into the East Sea in an apparent show of growing impatience over stalled nuclear negotiations with Washington. Moscow has started exerting pressure on Tehran to reduce its presence in Syria by demanding that Iran pull out Revolutionary Guards from military bases there and remove its sophisticated drones, Israeli intelligence sources said Friday. Assad had originally agreed to grant Tehran the right to operate the port. Normally, one would expect that a university fortunate enough to get a sitting Supreme Court Justice to join its faculty would be receiving accolades from its students. But of course, these are not normal times. Thus, when George Mason University recently announced that Justice Brett Kavanaugh would co-teach (along with Professor Jennifer L. Mascott) a summer class at its Antonin Scalia Law School, the campus Left was seriously triggered. Students immediately launched protests, a petition drive, and an ad campaign claiming that they would suffer harm due to the uncorroborated allegations of sexual assault

I am filing this story in the “put up or shut up” category of invitations. Senate Judiciary Committee chairman Lindsey Graham Friday morning sent a letter to Special Counsel Robert Mueller inviting him to testify about the phone call he had with AG Barr following the letter Mueller sent to Barr about the summary of findings the AG issued, pending release of the full report. That letter, purportedly meant to be private, nonetheless was leaked right before Barr testified before Graham’s committee, and was used by Democrat members to criticize the AG.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of Jeane Kirkpatrick’s essay, “Dictatorships and Double Standards,” an astute critique of what was then the United States foreign policy establishment’s outlook. On reading the essay, anti-establishment Republican Ronald Reagan invited the Georgetown University political science professor and lifelong Democrat to become a senior foreign policy advisor to his 1980 campaign for president. As she observed, the prevailing worldview among both liberal Democrats and establishment Republicans was that “events are manifestations of deep historical forces which cannot be controlled

Three years ago, then-president Barack Hussein Obama (D) mocked the plans of his sure-not-to-be-successor, Donald J. Trump (R), for the country, comparing them to his oh, so successful eight-year "scandal free," high unemployment, high food stamp use, successful administration. "He just says, ´I´m gonna negotiate a better deal.´ Well how? How exactly are you going to negotiate that?" Obama said during the town hall portion of the event. "What magic wand do you have? And usually the answer is, he doesn´t have an answer." Well, that was then. And this is now. To Obama´s shock and dismay, Trump is president.

Sen. Mitt Romney returned from a Middle East tour saying that he saw no alternative to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict other than the two-state solution. The Utah Republican, his party’s 2012 presidential nominee, has just assumed the chairmanship of the Middle East subcommittee in the Senate. Romney’s conclusion could put him at odds with the Israeli government, which now says that the two-state solution is all but moribund, and with the Trump administration, which has retreated from U.S. policy endorsing a two-state outcome.

The boomerang from the Democratic Party’s failed attempt to connect Donald Trump to Russia’s 2016 election meddling is picking up speed, and its flight path crosses right through Moscow’s pesky neighbor, Ukraine. That is where there is growing evidence a foreign power was asked, and in some cases tried, to help Hillary Clinton. In its most detailed account yet, the Ukrainian Embassy in Washington says a Democratic National Committee (DNC) insider during the 2016 election solicited dirt on Donald Trump’s campaign chairman and even tried to enlist the country´s president to help.

In the beginning, it was collusion with the Russians that the Democrats were counting on to send the president to obscurity, or worse. When that partisan fantasy dissolved like snow on a sunny day, the Democrats seized obstruction of justice as the crime of the century. The special counsel concluded there was not enough there, either. Now the only “high crime and misdemeanor” left to imagine is that the attorney general “lied to Congress.” Without a shred of reliable evidence, that’s the thinnest fantasy of all. The third time is definitely not the charm. So what’s next? Is there a scandal

The economy is strong, unemployment is low and wages are rising, according to the latest economic data released Friday, which is in stark contrast to what the vast majority of elite economic opinion predicted just a few years ago from a Trump presidency. The latest unemployment report has joblessness at 3.6 percent. Where is the Trump Armageddon Squad now? What’s even more egregious is that the same folks predicting the end of the world refuse to provide sane analysis of radical proposals dribbling out of the mouths of the Democrats.

Shocking footage of children in a Philadelphia Islamic center has emerged that shows them saying that they would "chop off...heads" for Allah."The Muslim American Society (MAS) Islamic Center in Philadelphia posted the video to its Facebook page celebrating ´Ummah Day´ in which young children wearing Palestinian scarves sang and read poetry about killing for Allah and the mosque in Jerusalem," Fox News reported. "One girl talks about martyrs sacrificing their lives without hesitation to conquer Jerusalem." "We will defend the land of divine guidance with our bodies, and we will sacrifice our souls without hesitation," another girl says.

Hillary Clinton’s defenders will never stop making excuses for why she lost in 2016: It was Matt Lauer! It was James Comey! It was men being sexist! It was women being sexist! It was voter suppression! It was Citizens United! It was fake news! It was WikiLeaks! It was Facebook! It was the Russians! Today, a new excuse: It was Jon Stewart! In the middle of last week, Huma Abedin must have bustled over to Hillary’s place with a lovingly bound copy of the latest in cutting-edge academic research, a report that says Jon Stewart’s retirement is ACKSHULLY

Just 18 months after his career as a political pundit and TV commentator imploded amid sexual harassment and assault allegations, Mark Halperin is trying to mount a comeback. He’s getting help from media personalities including MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinksi. The women who have accused Halperin have a few things to say about this: They’re outraged. Halperin, 54, lost commentary gigs with MSNBC, NBC and Showtime in October 2017 after nine women accused him of unwanted touching, sexual comments and physical assault when he worked at ABC News between 1994 and 2006. HBO also canceled plans

As most people know by now, pretty much everything that has or will go wrong in America these days is President Trump’s fault. There’s simply no way around it. The media is full of it. [Snip] Political turmoil. His failure to collude with Russia. The overuse of exclamation points. What? Wait! Of course, Americans’ addiction to exclamation points is not really Trump’s fault, though he has revolutionized the use of instant political communications with very frequent missives to his 60 million Twitter followers. He is, however, executive producer of the current White House reality show. So, Trump’s become

GOMA, Democratic Republic of Congo/GENEVA - The death toll from an Ebola outbreak in Congo rose above 1,000 on Friday, with attacks on treatment centres continuing to hamper efforts to control the “intense transmission” of the second-worst epidemic of the virus on record. The World Health Organization said it expected the nine-month outbreak to continue spreading though the east of Democratic Republic of Congo, and announced plans to expand vaccinations in the coming weeks once a new treatment by Johnson & Johnson is approved. The WHO is already using another experimental vaccine made by Merck. Michael Ryan, executive

Dubai - Iran will continue with low-level uranium enrichment in line with its nuclear deal with world powers, Iranian parliament speaker Ali Larijani was quoted as saying on Saturday, despite a U.S. move to stop it. Washington acted on Friday to force Iran to stop producing low-enriched uranium and expanding its only nuclear power plant, intensifying a campaign aimed at halting Tehran´s ballistic missile programme and curbing its regional power. (Snip) Washington said the move was aimed at forcing Tehran to end its production of low-enriched uranium, a demand Iran has repeatedly rejected as it says it uses the uranium

The Mueller Report has come and gone leaving behind neither collusion nor obstruction. But in the time that has passed, the Democrats have shown that they won’t give up their pet conspiracy theory. The post-Mueller efforts of House Democrats to interest the public in scandals about White House security clearances and Trump´s tax returns failed miserably because they lacked the drama, the unfolding layers of conspiracies, and the delegitimization of the 2016 election that Russiagate offers. After Attorney General Barr´s summary of the Mueller Report, the Democrat media held out hope that the full report would prove collusion. When it failed

In recent columns I’ve argued that Steven Pinker, Kevin Williamson, and others are terribly wrong to insist that material progress entails a superior form of life. For our problem today is that we Americans are so devoted to work and consumption that we don’t know how to live. We talk about GDP growth without considering what it is for. We look at all our fancy new gadgets, as more of them are produced every year, and pride ourselves on our “progress,” but all the while we grow more anxious, desperate, and miserable. Yesterday, while observing a vast, harried crowd

We know what Democrats are guilty of by what they accuse Republicans of doing. We’ve all heard that axiom (or some variation of it) before, yet, every time it happens it’s no less shocking that they think they can get away with it. And right now that axiom is proving itself true once again with their targeting of Attorney General William Barr. Congressional Democrats are clearly aware that the American people do not favor impeachment of President Trump. Even a CNN poll shows that 59 percent of the public oppose impeachment—and that’s a left-leaning poll. While impeaching Trump is,

There are several public figures from whose faces I feel compelled to avert my gaze, so irritating do I find them, among which are those of Messrs. Blair of Britain and Trudeau of Canada, La Compasionaria of New Zealand Jacinda Adern, and the Scottish nationalist leader Nicola Sturgeon, whose visage has all the charm and good humor of reinforced concrete. But by far the ghastliest of contemporary visages imperative to avoid for the sake of my peace of mind is that of the Swedish pigtailed prig Greta Thunberg. If there were a Nobel Prize for self-satisfaction she would be without

Alabama state representative John Rogers´s recent comments on abortion have received widespread condemnation—including from his former lawyer, Sen. Doug Jones (D., Ala.). Jones defended Rogers in federal corruption cases as far back as 1989 and as recently as 2010, according to Alabama outlet Yellowhammer News. When Rogers defended abortion on the State House floor by saying fetuses would either be killed "now" or "later," he took a great deal of criticism, including from Donald Trump Jr., but Rogers doubled down by calling the president’s son "retarded" and a "very good defense" for aborting kids.

A month before his inauguration, and shortly after he had finished a round of golf with Tiger Woods, Donald Trump was introduced to an adviser of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the chief advocacy group for American corporations. Stanton Anderson stood in the clubhouse of Mr. Trump’s golf course in West Palm Beach, Fla., and extended his hand to the president-elect. Mr. Trump refused it. “You guys did everything to stop me,” Mr. Trump said, his face reddening, according to two people who were there. “I haven’t forgotten.” In the two years since, relations between Mr. Trump and Washington’s biggest lobbying organization

I can´t think of a better illustration of our partisan divide than the reactions to Attorney General William Barr´s testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee Wednesday. Democrats are furious at Barr´s defense of his rollout of the Mueller report and his assertions of executive power. Some Democrats want Barr to resign, others want him to be impeached, and Nancy Pelosi says he´s guilty of lying to Congress. Republicans have found a hero. Barr is the new Dick Cheney: a stocky, bespectacled, confrontational, blunt, intelligent, unapologetically conservative, experienced, and high-powered official who believes in and fights for the office of

Attorney General Bill Barr lied to Congress? If you have any liberal friends, they’ve already started repeating this talking point. It’s nonsense. When I first read the editorials carping on the attorney general’s March 24, 2019 summary of the Mueller report, I failed to recognize the coordinated assault being launched to punish Barr for . . . well, let’s be honest, speaking truth to the leftist juggernaut that pushed the Trump-Russia collusion hoax. After all, why are we arguing over a summary of a report that’s now available to the public? Nope, this thin gruel is the Left’s chosen weapon

This is interesting…. because it strikes at the heart of the CIA/FBI construct around George Papadopoulos. The impetus for the early 2016 CIA/FBI investigation motive of George Papadopoulos surrounds Joseph Mifsud as a Russian asset; who supposedly told Papadopoulos that Russia had ‘dirt’ in Hillary Clinton. Professor Mifsud being a Russian asset underpins all of their subsequent activity. If Mifsud is not a Russian intelligence asset, the FBI and CIA have a problem within their narrative. If Mifsud is a Western asset, well, that proves Papadopouls was being set up.

Always just one tweet away from playing the victim card, as a Twitterer noted, Rep. Ilhan Omar made an unexpectedly unfortunate allusion to ´women of color´ being put down as she sought to bite back at Vice President Mike Pence, who criticized her ignorance on Venezuela. According to The Hill: Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) fired back on Friday after Vice President Pence said she "doesn’t know what she´s talking about" regarding the ongoing conflict in Venezuela. Omar took to Twitter to say that Pence´s criticism is something "women of color have heard" before.

An investment fund backed by Hunter Biden, son of 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden, invested in a surveillance system used to spy on Muslims in China, a new report claims. The former vice president has been facing scrutiny over his son’s business dealings in Ukraine and other countries, with reports focusing on Hunter Biden’s role in the Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings. The company employed the younger Biden as a board member as the U.S. and the Obama administration were mulling a course of action amid Russia´s invasion in Eastern Ukraine.

Last April 24 was Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day. Millions of Armenians around the world remembered how the Islamic Ottoman Empire killed -- often cruelly and out of religious hatred -- some 1.5 million of their ancestors during World War I. Ironically, most people, including most Armenians, are unaware that the first genocide of Christian Armenians at the hands of Muslim Turks did not occur in the twentieth century; rather it began in 1019 -- exactly one thousand years ago this year -- when Turks first began to pour into and transform a then much larger Armenia

NEW YORK — "The Situation" and the Fyre Festival fraudster are already there. President Donald Trump´s former lawyer and fixer, Michael Cohen, is up next. It´s not reality TV. It´s a federal prison 70 miles (113 kilometers) from New York City where white-collar and D-list scoundrels can do time while playing bocce ball and noshing on rugelach. Cohen, 53, is due to report Monday to the Federal Correctional Institution, Otisville to start a three-year sentence for tax evasion, lying to Congress and campaign finance crimes. Pope Francis addressed participants at a Vatican conference on Thursday and denounced a trend toward nationalism that entails “excessive demands for sovereignty.” “The common good has become global and nations must associate,” the pope told members of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences who gathered for their annual meeting, entitled “Nation, State, Nation-State.” “Unfortunately, we have before our eyes situations in which some nation states carry out their relations in a spirit of opposition rather than cooperation,” the pontiff said. Many tensions come “from an excessive demand for sovereignty on the part of States, often precisely in areas where they
