Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh has resigned following weeks of investigations into a scandal around her self-published children’s books. In a statement read by her attorney Steven Silverman at a Thursday afternoon press conference, Pugh announced she was stepping down, effective immediately. “Dear citizens of Baltimore, I would like to thank you for allowing me to serve as the 50th mayor, it has been an honor and a privilege,” read Silverman. “Today I am submitting my written resignation to the Baltimore City Council. I am sorry for the harm that I have caused to the image of the city of Baltimore

Glad she got it right: "I am sorry for the harm that I have caused to the image of the city of Baltimore and the credibility of the office of the mayor.” Nice wig.

Yep, the old "I´ll write a book" bribery scam. Didn´t work this time.
Hope she spends a good bit of time in jail.
Of course Hellary used the same basic scam, but I think they actually printed Hellary´s books.
This phenomenon, in general, is mentioned in Mr. Derbyshire´s excellent, brutally honest essay.
If you haven´t read it, it is worth your time, and worth reading to your kids or grandkids.

Pugh was rotten but incapable of spoiling the city´s image. After the way Baltimore bent over to the BLM mobs in 2015 after the Freddie Gray incident, her scandal has about as much power to damage the city´s image as a scooter has to damage a car that recently lost a demolition derby.

You have to go half way down this article to find the word "Democratic" -- in reference to a primary.
And you find no other references to Democrat at all.
If this were a Republican mayor, is there any doubt that her party affiliation would be in the headline, the first sentence, and about 50 other times in the article?!?!?!?
Yahoo -- all the lie-beral slant that we find fit to print!!!!

Number four above spoke of her being unable to spoil the Baltimore´s image. This is true. The image of Baltimore was properly captured in the old TV Series "The Wire". The show did a very good job on capturing the true image of Baltimore. In fact this whole sordid episode could have been a plot line for two or three episodes. Corrupt politicians, corrupt city departments, corrupt local businesses; the only thing missing is a few murders.

If her name were Mike Madigan and Baltimore were in Illinois, Ms. Pugh would still be mayor. Maryland must have ever-so-slightly higher standards than the Illinois House of Representatives does for its long-time Speaker.

It´s nice to know there are lines that even black women Dims can´t cross. I was beginning to think such boundaries didn´t exist.

Well #5, Baltimore has had two proud black women as mayor. Both had to resign because of a scandal of their own making.

Another corrupt Dem. I once saw a list of Dem politicians under indictment for various crimes versus Republicans. It was 18 to one in favor of the the Dems. At least they are in the lead in one category.
